NASCAR iRacing Series

Wednesday Open -NiS – Las Vegas 

  • Tony – Pself spun to many times. Was fast but new harder bumps in 1 & 2 more defined. Kept self spinning on the high side. Saved it a few times but didnt save the last time into the wall ended my night
  • David – P wrecked by a some not joining safely, protest went through, but dont know his penalty (a open)

Official Series

Gen 4

  • Ellis – P4 – Atlanta top split. Start at 17th worked my way up to the top five drove my ass off sweating like a pig made no mistakes and brought it home P4.! super proud of that. This car is so hard to drive and be good at.
    • Top split again started 13 and finished P10 green flag run the whole way no cautions ran my ass off and got what I deserved which was the top 10
    • Wednesday night started a race right after dinner without starting up all my apps apparently and I had no force feedback so I had to DNF and stop the race after wrecking
    • Deck started P6 and spun by myself at the end, took off the nose, but was able to finish P7

B Open

  • Donnie – Charlotte Roval and Las Vegas

Late Model Stock

  • Donnie – Martinsville and Lanier

Ring Meister

  • Mike – P started P5 and the Skip barber and finish P5 great race
    • Next race started at fourth but wrecked out in a foolish move and hit the wall and killed the car DNF
    • Qualified type top split some guy wants to go side-by-side in the turn one lap one and decide to go over the curbs and wreck the field and I get collected. I can’t even get the turn to.
    • Monday night we switched to the new car the Dallara IL 15 indy  next. Started at the back worked my way up to about 18th and a car in front of me pounded the wall hard. It came back across the track. I had nowhere to go in T-bone dim DNF.
    • Start a 21st out of 29. And I bring it home P 16 after spending once but not wrecking finally a finish.
    • Start a 12th out of 22. Got up to seventh by lap one but then spun by myself no damage and was able to finish P6.
    • Wrecked out in lap, one DNF on the next start
    • Start at 16th ended up spinning at one point and finishing P 12
    • Then made my third attempt to qualifying and finally got a lap in a very respectable sub six minutes with a 559 four.

Petite LeMans

  • Hall p3 ran with Altitude eSports with a listener.   We got wrecked out of first start time.  Started 2nd and also got wrecked by a gt3 just turning right out of turn7.   But made it up to p3. This track is good for me as I was out running 2.5k drivers

IMSA

  • Hall – P 
  • Ellis – P
  • Kyle – P 
  • Brad W – P9 (Road Atlanta) started P31 after a horrible qualifying attempt. Settled in and put my head down and was able to keep my nose clean and avoid a lot of the carnage early on. Another big gap between SOF by class.
    • P6 (Imola) started P11 and was middle of the pack on speed. This track is really easy to pick up off tracks. Was set to finish p7 but was gifted a position due to a penalty from p6. First time I have ever raced here but ready to run a couple more this week.
  • William –  P7- Love this track but can’t seem to catch a break. Got squeezed off twice by people not leaving room exiting a corner when they’re on the inside. LMP2 traffic was also terrible. Not an awful result but should have been better.
    • P23- Iracing, i’m begging you, please stop putting 1000-1500 rated prototypes in races with a 3k SOF GT3 field. They do not understand how to make a pass. Either its a dive bomb that hits you, or they can’t complete a pass by the time you exit the corner. Listen LMP2s. I promise if you’re not getting alongside coming out turn 6, its faster for BOTH of us if you just wait until coming out of 7. If you’re late, we’re both losing time in the most important corner exit on the course. Had a P2 dive me really late going into 10, basically had to stop to make the corner, really slow on the exit because of this and a GT3 that was already a lap down just doesn’t lift coming out of the corner. Broken suspension on the rear, 12 minutes of damage, first race I haven’t finished in almost a year. 
    • P6- Again can’t catch a break here. Was P3 about 30 min in, cruising to the podium and on pace to catch 2nd before the end of the race when my screen freezes for 10 seconds in turn 10. Luckily it was the slowest part of the track and was able to get it off without hitting anything, but fell to 9th. Also surprised I didn’t get protested for this race because I  was done with getting pushed off the track and a guy cleared himself off my nose early in the race and died. Maybe iRacing told him to pound sand. Able to get back to 6th, but killed what should have been best finish in a while. 


League / Hosted Races

Elbows Out Racing League (LMP2 and GT3 Wednesday Nights)

  • William- P7 – Imola –  Was extremely slow in quali, should probably have practiced more. Started 16th and because I was so far back got caught up in some lap one shenanigans. Car spun, or got spun, from about 5th and didn’t hold his breaks until he was back on the track. Caught me and the car in front of me with no where to go, not much damage but lots a ton of time, think I fell to 26th or so. Found some pace throughout the race and was able to get a respectable finish. Lapped traffic and lower half of the prototype field definitely seem to be an issue in this league. Lost a bunch of time to them or might have been able to press more. Love Imola, wish I had done better in quali. 

Hosted- 

  • Ellis – Chris McGuire hosted old Indy car at new Atlanta started 43rd out of 45 and finished P8. Great run.
    • 87 at Daytona started 14th out of 34 and finish P2. I was right there at the end but didn’t have enough to get there. Great run P2.
    • Old supercars at Atlanta finish P2 all almost got the win. So close.
