NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – Kansas

  • David – P16 (A Open) got loose early, no cautions to get it back

Sunday Open- NiS – Kansas

  • Tony – P2 had a decent run. About ½ way ended up self spinning while in middle 3 wide after a few laps on a restart saved it. Used all 3 gwc. First 2 the outside line kept spinning their tires and wrecking and each time i gained tons of spots. Restarted 3rd on final gwc and just couldnt catch the leader. Finally a good run
  • John – P30. First NIS race in over two months. I had quit due to pathetic racecraft and cautions. Should have stayed away. On a lap 16 restart a guy spun his tires and turned into me throwing me into the wall. Too much damage – I was done.

Sunday Fixed- NiS – Kansas

  • Mike- P5- I had a pretty good race, but then I got spun more than once a couple times down under the grass. One minute damage was able to do a nice recovery up to P5 never really had anything for the leaders, but we’ll take a nice top five
  • Justin – P wrecked out

Thursday Open- NiS – ROVAL

  • Mike- P12-start at 18th work my way up to 14th and then spun off on my own on the tight hairband corner fell back to 24th worked my way back up to 16th spot again a couple other times without really wrecking lost track position, but gained it back and finished P12 two laps down.

Official Series

Gen 4

  • Ellis – P at Atlanta surprisingly split of 24 each on Monday night.

B Open

  • John –  P17. This was an enjoyable race. NO CAUTIONS!!! I was fast but made a mistake on Lap 25; I smacked the wall coming out of turn two and damaged my right front. Had to wait until my green flag pit stop to repair it. That put me a lap down. Finish was not great, but it was nice not to get wrecked out by some fools like we have in NIS.

Ring Meister

  • Mike – P started fifth in the Ferrari GT three and ended up wrecking not long after DNF
    • Started P3 and finish P3 pretty clean race had nothing for the leaders. We’ll take it podium.
    • Start a third by turn to the guy wants to dive in and run side-by-side which is fine. I ran side-by-side with him for a couple corners. Finally got ahead and then he dumped me DNF.
    • So it’s Sunday night I want to practice the car for next week the Skip barber. So I’m in the UI. I find the schedule I see the car for next week and I hit practice with AI so I run the race and there’s 28 GT three cars and there’s three Skip Barber cars.  I don’t know if this is what it’s supposed to do.
    • So to run the Ferrari one more time Sunday night, I missed the start. I start from Pitt Road and my turn three I’m going by a car that’s in the grass. He’s suddenly jolts onto the track in front of me and IT bone him unsafe, rejoined
    • Qualified first thing in the shit barber formula 2000 ended up starting PE five and finishing P3 had a great battle with fourth for third spot and we played a game of chicken at the end but I win like usual to take the podium and a great first race of the week to finish in P3.
    • Start a second wrecked out fairly soon, kinda on my own because I actually had a spammer in the chat spamming garbage on my stream and it was distracting so I wreck
    • Start a third I got to lead going over the bathtub. I left slightly. He runs over me from behind ratio wrecked from behind from the lead.
    • Then wrecked out again, mistake on my own, went off track and destroyed the car
    • Then started fourth and finished P7 after going off the track once but able to recover

IMSA

  • Hall – P 2 and 1, Road ATL I have a decent pace here.
  • Brad W – P9 and P10. Both races at Fuji started on a dry track that required drys to be put on at the stop. I had decent pace but as always with wet races the participation was low all week. Both races were top split and I was happy with both. I only had a spin in one of them after getting punted by a GTP before the chicane. I do enjoy searching for that dry lane once you change tires cause if you miss it….hold on!

League / Hosted Races

Grass Roots Racing

GTP/GT3 League – Suzuka Endurance Race

  • William W –  P3. Final race of the season. Nothing notable really here except for David getting punted. Finished the season 3rd in points. Next season starts in two weeks at LeMans, come join us!
  • David – P7 got dumped by a guy on his out lap with cold tires

Elbows Out Racing League (LMP2 and GT3 Wednesday Nights)

  • William- P7. Full 62 car grid. The racing at the top of this league is very good, but the lower half of LMP2 and the AM can sometimes leave something to be desired in the racecraft area. A lot of good racing, but also a lot of frustration with GT3 parking it on apex and LMP2 unable to complete passes. Got stuck behind a lambo for a bit that prevented me from moving up, on pace might have had a 5th or so, but needed to do better with traffic.

Hosted-

  • Ellis – Car of  tomorrow at Talladega went on the far outside for three wide for the wind they got wrecked out. John Kerley finished eight Kyle wrecked out
    • Supercars at Michigan got wrecked out

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – New Hampshire

  • David – P13 (A open Replacement)

Wednesday Open -NiS – Kansas

  • David – P10 (A open Replacement)

Thursday Open- NiS – Kansas

  • Mike- P 11 I had a couple instances where I spun out on my own held a break and got cream from behind. Got all that damage fixed once the damage was repaired. Was able to recover up to finish P 11 will take it.
  • Chris – P25 top split

Official Series

A Open

  • David – P10 (A open top split)  Good long run speed, car 22 in a tough field
  • Brad W – P23 Taken 3 wide and wrecked on lap 16. Does not matter what Next Gen series, the racing is no longer fun.

Ring Meister

  • Mike – P Toyota GR 86 had the pole position. Second place was putting pressure on me coming down the hill lap. One I over drove one corner just stuffed it in the wall hard DNF.
    • Started on pole position got ran over from the lead from behind where the guy just missed the breaking point ended up falling back to P6, but recovering to finish P2
    • Started p5 finish P3. Ended up with seven incident points, though after I got into one guy accidentally still a great podium finish.
    • Monday night GT three I picked the Ferrari wrecked out early on the first race due to low brain rate how to adjust graphics
    • Starting in 27th out of 29. Got up to 15th by the end of lap one, but in a game of chicken at the end of the straightaway, I lost and the guy didn’t give me room.
    • Start a 22 got to third by the end of lap one. As soon as I realized I was third I spun out on my own and fell to 11th then worked my way back up to finish P6 finally finish, but I’m bleeding SR.
    • Started on Pitt Road dead last P 28 got up to 14th by the time we got to the big hill me and another guy were side-by-side going up the hill we’re catching another car and when we get to the kink, he suddenly goes from six to 4th gear with brakes on an uphill turn where you’re only supposed to tap the brake for a moment he slows some 2030 mile an hour, and I rear-ended him real hard and kill the car dnf.
    • Start a 25th of 27 got up to about 15 quite soon, but then a Mustang went off and came back on and took out a group of five of us DNF
    • Finally qualified third out of in 26. Hit the wall pretty hard going up the hill trying to make a pass at the kink was really stupid and hit the wall, but was able to continue on and bring it home and finish P4.
    • Started on Paul position. Led the entire race and won it winner winner chicken dinner. I had to fight for the guy in second gave me a run, but eventually he wrecked off and I was able to win the race.
    • Pole  position, foughthard for the lead. But eventually lost it due to sloppy driving. I actually tried to turn the driving line off this race and struggled hard.  P2. Upset if I left the driving line on, I feel like I would’ve won the race.
    • Qualified third was running third when I hit the curbs and hit the wall, knocking the hole back and off the car DNF
    • Started on the pole position, led the first half of the race had about a six second lead and made a mistake and stuffed it in the wall and knocked the rear end off DNF. It’s checkers or wreckersfor me.

IMSA

  • Brad W – P5 (Sebring GT3) Started p2 but still struggling to get up to speed on cold tires. Had very good pace but trying to pass another Mustang is hard because both cars are so planted coming off the corner. Was in p4 till I blew the hair pin being way too aggressive trying to make a pass. Managed to gain a few spots on the last lap as traffic took out some guys ahead of me.
  • William W- P9, P14,P6. Sebring. Messed up qualifying on the first two runs by getting an off track on my second lap. It’s very hard to move through the field here with similar skill level racers. The last race was top split near 4k sof. Pretty proud of a P6 here. Didn’t mess up qualifying but in this field a good lap only got me around 9th. Made it to 6th on first lap and then pretty much held on for dear life. Was gaining on 5th but started to overdrive the car and made the tires angry. But I’ll take P6 top split.

INDYCAR OVAL – Fixed

  • John – P9. Nice to have a 70 lap race with only one caution. I was running P8 and spun it into the grass out of turn 4 on lap 18. Touched the inside wall and got some damage that could not be repaired. Didn’t hurt the car much. Stayed out as long as I could but had to pit on lap 39 for fuel. Sure enough, as soon as i pulled in the pits the one and only caution came out and that put me a lap down. Rest of the race was calm and I brought it home in the top 10

Draftmaster

  • John K. P10. What can I say? I finished a draftmaster with only 4X, so that’s a good run.

League / Hosted Races

Majors 24hrish of Atlanta

  • David = P4,  The last yellow cost us a podium

Grass Roots Racing

GTP/GT3 League – Watkins Glen Sprint Race

  • William W –  P2. Very challenging conditions at Watkins. We use forecasted weather and don’t change it unless it’s like the 3rd race in a row. Forecast was for a 62% chance of rain, but driving the actual session the intensity fluctuated between 65-100%. Surprised myself with how well I did as I normally dread the rain. No major mishaps. Was running P4 on the last lap when P2 spun in the last turn and collected P3. Overall very good result.
  • Brad W – P6 in the Monsoon of The Glen. Very bad conditions the entire race. I managed to only have one spin but the rain intensity was around 74% the entire race with the track being at 87% which would be a red flag condition in the real world. Yes, iRacing you still have issues with the weather model!
  • David – Wrecked.  Felt good about running the early part of the race mistake free, but in the process of trying to figure out which lane a gt3 was taking, I missed the braking mark, because of the spray.

Elbows Out Racing League (LMP2 and GT3 Wednesday Nights)

  • William- P10. They were testing the software that automatically throws the yellow with a certain amount of incidents with a certain amount of time but it was tuned way too sensitive. Spent the first 30 min under the safety car. Admins handle it the best they could but tough conditions to run in. Messed up pit strategy by not going in under yellow. Had pace for maybe a top 3 but cycled to 10th after green flag stop.

Hosted-

  • Ellis – Chris McGuire hosted Cara tomorrow at Talladega finish P5 and then supercars at Michigan finish P5
    • Old Indy car at Pocono wrecked out

If you see the UI displaying only 1/2 of what it should (either horizontally or vertically), either disable AMD FSR or rename the Documents/iRacing folder.

If you see the UI displaying only 1/2 of what it should (either horizontally or vertically), either disable AMD FSR or rename the Documents/iRacing folder.

If you are driving the Ford GT3 and the sim crashes, try a different setup file. There is a known issue where some setups are causing the sim to crash.

If you are getting the “Loading Error: Simulator appeared to be unresponsive for more than 25 seconds” error or stuck loading the sim 98 or 99%, check this out: https://forums.iracing.com/discussion/84832/workaround-fix-loading-error-simulator-appeared-to-be-unresponsive-for-more-than-25-seconds/p3

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – Bristol

  • David – P wrecked
  • Chris – P 17
  • Brad- P15 As usual caught up in everyone else’s mess. Had to sit for almost 6 minutes to get damage fixed just to go back out and save SR. Had a car good enough to win both starts just can’t avoid all the NiS stupidity.

Sunday Open- NiS – Bristol

  • David – P wrecked, straight dumped

Wednesday Open -NiS – New Hampshire

  • Chris – P 19. 26 cautions… what a mess
  • David – P22, last race, i’m done with NiS.  I can’t remember that last race that was actually decent. iRacing does have a problem and if they don’t fix it they’re going to start losing members.  Taken about because one of the drivers that we point out every race as a dirty driver, lays back over a car length and jumps a restart.
  • Brad- P3 Very happy with the result but I’m about done with the NASCAR iPacing Series. Another week with double digit cautions. Over a  ā…“ of the race was under yellow. It’s just not fun anymore. We have completed 30 weeks of NiS. Out of those 30 weeks, I have only had 3 races where the yellows were in the single digits. This is why we are choosing to stop running NiS.

Thursday Open- NiS – New Hampshire

  • Mike- P 10- led some laps, but eventually you got involved in some incidents a couple times. I actually spun on my own coming off too on the bottom. There’s some bumps in the car just come around on throttle.  At seven minutes damage got four of it fixed, rode around and finished P 10. We’ll take it.
  • Chris – P12- Top Split. I think racing with the international crowd is better than the US. Only 16 cautions. Was in top 10 most of the race. Got wrecked but made my way back up late. P12 and 7th in Div 2 points

Official Series

Gen 4

  • Ellis – P got Chicago started eight finish fifth
    • X-ray had some heavy hitters in it including pro Taylor hurst. Same result finish P5.
    • Then on to California top split started P5 out of 16 got a tangle and lost my track position fell to the back was able to have a nice recovery with no cautions in this race with green flag stops. Worked my way up to finish P7. We’ll take it.
    • Then started second the leader took off and drove away from the rest of us. The rest of us were in a little pack and I ended up finishing P4 great race.

Ring Meister

  • Mike – P started fifth out of 28 and the Toyota GR 86. Got involved in a couple of let’s play chicken incidents at the end of the long street one guy threatened to protest me, but I was clearly beside him when he ran me into the grass.  Finished 15th out of 28.
    • Ran again this time I wrecked out and lap one finished at last
    • Started fifth and finished P3 finally a podium
    • Started at seventh finish third great race. Had to earn that one.
    • Then started at six and got dumped before the green flag DNF
    • Then I finally took Paul position, but dumped the car on my own and like turn six like a fool bounding over the curbs

IMSA

  • Brad W – P7 Sebring GT3 – Oh what could have been. Had a very fast Ford but got way too aggressive trying to get to the podium. I spun it out coming through Sunset white trying to overtake p3. The Mustang was not happy at all in this corner and it was my biggest challenge all race. I have been moved up to Division 3 so the goal is to finish in the top 10 in points like I did last season in Div 4.
  • William W- P7 – Sebring. Messed up qualifying badly. Slow first lap and got an offtrack on my second. Would have been pole, but instead started P16. Very hard working my way up through the field. 2 wide for almost first 2 whole laps and I don’t think I was out of traffic the entire race. Made it up to P10 by pit stop, and got P9 in the pits. Made it to 8th, and couldn’t get past Mustang in front, but he sent it on the mustang in front of him in Sunset on last lap. Was able to follow him through for P7. Good result but could have been much better with a proper start.

GT3 America Fixed

  • Donnie- Laguna Seca – Ran two races and finished P13 and P9.  Races were clean and my pace picked up with each lap.

INDYCAR OVAL – Fixed

  • Donnie – Auto Club, a P13 and a P10.  The set was super tight, the track was super bumpy and I was rocking the Ellis 100% force feed back.  70 Lap runs burns your shoulders out…lol

League / Hosted Races

Grass Roots Racing

GTP/GT3 League – Le Mans Endurance Race

  • William W –  P2. Only 1 clean quali lap or would have been pole. Started P4. Got P3 on first lap and then moved to P2 on the second. Quickly figured out I would need to save fuel with our enduro BOP to make it 8 laps. Spent the first 2 stints fuel saving. Me and P1 pulled a 3 second gap in the first stint. I stupidly took tires when I probably didn’t have to. Fell to 4th warming the tires. Second stop came out right behind leader, and gained lead when he had to fuel save. Got lead up to 2 seconds at points, but got 2 dumb off tracks and brought him right back and he got around me. Add some bad traffic and another offtrack and fell 2 seconds behind. Was catching again when I realized we were going an extra lap than my fuel calculator had planned. Had to slow to allow GTP leader to pass me before the line on the last lap. P1 pit to not run out, and he crossed the line right before me and GTP lead. So close but so far.
  • Brad W – P did not finish. One of my least favorite tracks. I could not get the Merc to be stable in the fast sweepers and that cost me multiple slow downs, three in one lap. Completely embarrassed at how I drove after having a great qualifying position. I ended up wrecking and even though we had the fast repairs, I parked it.

Elbows Out Racing League (LMP2 and GT3 Wednesday Nights)

  • William- P6. Finished P8 on track but gained 2 spots due to post race penalties.  Was looking for something to do on Wednesdays and found this league. Interesting set up with 60 min races and required 4 tire stop. Qualified P3, near pole. Actual racing was very good up front, but we had 62 cars in grid and there is quite the IR discrepancy through the field. On lap 2 the mustang in P4 sent it in sunset and hit me in the right rear. Somehow I saved it but lost a lot of time and tires were angry for 2 laps. Got passed by P5 on pace and was running 5th when I pit. P11 after pits and half spun the car in the hairpin. Between that, apparently botching the pit strat in new league, and some awful traffic luck I cycled to 9th once all pit stops were done. Was able to chase down 8th and pass him on last lap for finish.

Hosted-

  • Ellis – ran carburetor cup finished 7 at Monza oval

NASCAR iRacing Series

Wednesday Open -NiS – Bristol

  • David – P2 – 2 cars on lead lap
  • Brad- P 30 It went about how I expected it to go. Had a 4x before the start from being run into during the pace laps. Was collected in multiple accidents until the big one ended the night just 45 laps in. 10 cautions in the first 45 laps, I really don’t know what to say anymore.

Thursday Open- NiS – Bristol

  • Mike- P ended up with 16 X by lap 150 with only 12 seconds damage. It’s kind of ridiculous ended up getting a drive-through penalty eventually let some lapses run top three top four pretty much ended up getting DQ out about 80 to go.  That last incident was a code. I was not even 3 feet from the guy.
  • David – P race control sucks ass, got black flagged after fixing 7 out of 12 minutes and getting back descent speed cause race control couldn’t get people lined up worth shit. Its getting old.

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – Darlington

  • David – P wrecked, a guys block went bad for both of us
  • Brad- P24 Wrecked again. Same story, different week. The absurdity on NiS right now is on a crazy level.

Sunday Open- NiS – Darlington

  • David – P Wrecked out on lap 4
  • Tony – P5
  • Joe – p I got wrecked with to much damage on lap 26

Sunday Fixed- NiS – Darlington

  • Mike- P9- there were seven cautions in the first 50 laps. I was involved in six of them and I had 16 x 50 laps by halfway I was at 24X and had to run the last half of the race with no incidence, but somehow pulled it off and ended up with a P9 attrition was major only 19 cars finished at a 37

Wednesday Open -NiS – Gateway

  • Mike- P fixed – ended up finishing 21st. I had 24 incident points.  I got 12 before last 19 in Rex that were not by doing.  Total shit show 12 different cautions.  I had admitted to look for damage and that was a mistake and that put me in the back and I lost my track position. Never really could regain it.
  • Mike- open- p12- pretty much kept it clean, but got messed up in a couple incidents in the end and lost some track position. Was able to get it back most of it and finish P 12 happy with that.
  • Justin – P wrecked out on the first green white checker running third spin the tires on a restart.
  • Chris – P wrecked out too much damage we’re done
  • David – P went the last 20 or 30 laps trying to serve a black flag, but couldn’t.   Served it at the end.  This race was once again a shit show.  First this one guy caused literally the first 5 cautions and took out almost every team mate in the split.  Making unsafe moves and unable to hold a line.  Later in the race a guy tries to take it 3 wide and fails to stay in the 3rd inside lane, taking me out.  Apologizes, ok….but then 2 restarts later does the same kind of shit.  I’m fucking sick of this and if iRacing isn’t going to do something about people like this then they really don’t give a shit about the quality of official racing.  As long as no one goes about policing themselves, or using bad language, iRacing is happy.
  • Brad- P22 Not even sure where to begin with this one. Wrecked twice by the same driver that caused four yellows. Overall 19 cautions and a 120 lap race that took over two hours to finish. Ended up 3 laps down driving a half fixed car trying to avoid getting an incident drive through.

Official Series

Formula Vee

  • Mike– P7 started a dead last 12 out of 12 did the race to get SR ended with zero incidents and finished P7 due to attrition.
    • P7 started dead last 12 out of 12 zero incidents finish P7 just like the previous race
    • Start a dead last 12th no incidents finished P2. The leaders piled up coming into the checker and I took advantage from six place up to second.
    • Start a 10th out of 12 actually raced with everybody and got up to P5 still no incidents
    • Start a 10th out of 12 and somehow finish P3 still no incident

Mazda cup

  • Ellis– P qualified 12 finish eighth finish with zero incident
    • Start at 12 finish ninth again no incident points
    • Started dead last 12 finished 12 went wide ones had a one incident into the race at 1.97SR almost there
    • Started dead last 12th made it up to fifth but still got a one X avoiding a wreck in front of me. Ended up gaining .5 SR and made it to 2.47 finally. Mission accomplished.

Gen 4

  • Ellis – P top split Kansas car 23 out of 25. Two cautions I missed it car was clean. I finished P 11 pretty fun track to run the top.  The set is just way too tight though to be any fun.  We gotta have a looser set in this car.

Ring Meister

  • Mike – qualified second was chasing the leader. He hit the brakes extremely in my opinion I went to avoid him and had to hit the wall DNF.
    • Next race started second fought the leader real hard and finally got by under heavy pressure and went on to win it winner winner chicken dinner career win number 116 super proud to win in the GT three at Ferrari at the ring nords life Green-hell.
    •  started P2 finish P2 leader was fast. He drove away from me easily. He was five seconds a lap faster than me.  I’ve run inconsistent 637 and he’s running 632 with the best of 630.
    • Started third finished third got as high as second actually spun at my myself at one point was still able to finish third.

IMSA

  • Brad W – P8 (Indy-GT3) Had a rather uneventful race until after pitstops. I had decent pace but not as quick as the top 4. I was running p5 after the stop and running down p4 going into T1. Had a lap car that really should have backed out before the corner but did not. He went in too deep and had to check up. I went to his right only to have p6 take us three wide which crowded me into the lapper and I spun. P6’s excuse was I did not know we were three wide. How he did not see what was going on ahead of him is beyond me. After the spin I was p9 but was able to get one spot over the final laps. Really disappointing result.

League / Hosted Races

Grass Roots Racing

GTP/GT3 League – Indy Sprint Race

  • Brad W – P5 I did not have the pace of the top 4 so I tried to play the undercut on pitstops but blew the pitroad entry and lost too much time. I’m really enjoying this league and still feel that it has really helped my pace in officials.

Hosted-

  • Ellis – ran an AI race Nashville super Speedway in the Del Laura IR 18 Indy car. Put the adaptive AI on the highest setting started mid got to the lead by lap six.  I’m calling BS on the AI. It’s not strong enough at least thus car at this track.
    • Pick up car finished P7 race an old friend from the past Roderick Norman, and saw a professional Coke driver Dylan alt finish P9
    • Official SK modified fixed at Southern national.

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – Daytona

  • David – P5, won the not get wrecked out lottery.  Did cause an accident on the trioval but wasn’t going to listen to the Carson Hocevar of our Split

Sunday Fixed- NiS – Daytona

  • Mike- P1 let’s lapse made some really good moves at the end. Everything went perfect.  Winner winner chicken dinner career win 115 first NIS win of the year.

Wednesday Open -NiS – Darlington

  • David – P11, same shit different race, caught up in others stuff.  Additionally there was a 8 lap down car, not just running what is car had, but holding faster cars up and even crossing over after a clean pass.  This is the bullshit that iRacing should be educating about, if thats what they actually give a shit about.  Was 5th, climbed back up to 11th with close to 4 minutes damage.
  • Brad- P19 I qualified on pole but gave up to faster cars in hopes of catching on a longer run. I made a mistake and turned a driver getting into T1. From then on I managed to get caught up in almost every accident. Had to manage the last half of the race with 16x. Just a bad night.

Thursday Open- NiS – Darlington

  • Mike- P15- had a fast car I got caught up in a wreck in the first part of the race with seven minutes damage later on in the back half of the race another wreck not my doing went to 17 minutes damage from there just limping it around on the lead lap and got ran over three different times by people that don’t give a crap and had a drive-through penalty P 15.
  • David – P2!  Had a top 5 car.  Caution came out right outside the fuel window.  I saved just well enough to pass everyone but the leader who had something left and took off the last 3 laps

Official Series

Gen 4

  • Ellis – P darlington only 10 cars in a single split on Monday night. Pitiful. Got to lead pretty quick started pulling away had a five second gap at one point getting ready to pit on halfway gap was 3.6 seconds to the second place go to adjust my fuel so I have a little bit more for green white checker and as I move the mouse, the screen freezes a little bit and then I plow the wall hard 2X. 8 minutes damage. I can’t even drive it DNF.
    • Ran again creamed the wall wasn’t too bad this time kept going and finished P7 in top split 24 cars.
    • Was running about 5th to 7th green flags stop started I pitted right at halfway and then the caution came out about a lap later and I was trapped a lap down for the rest of the race finished P 10 out of 22

A Fixed

  • Mike. P10- top split I got in a wreck early on when the pack had to go around a lap car and a neck coated with the lap car stayed out anyway no idea how much damage I had but it looked like it was quite a bit after the race hung in there to finish P 10.
    • Was starting third on a late restart, but the leader sucked and so I didn’t have any opportunities and finished P6

B Fixed

  • Mike- P 18 got wrecked several times just crawled at home to finish P 18 out of 23

GT3 challenge fixed

  • Mike- Nordschilfe- wrecked out

League / Hosted Races

Grass Roots Racing

GTP/GT3 League – Hockenheim Sprint Race

  • William W –  P15 – Haven’t driven hockenheim in a long time. Had bad memory from it driving pcup in like S2-2024. However after practice I had found some pace here, and I actually started to like the track. Quali P2, struggled on new tires in the beginning and fell 2s back. Was pulling that gap back when the rain came. I hate rain. Did not practice rain as the forecast was a 14% chance so of course according to iracing that means rain a majority of the race. Leader pit 1 lap before us and that was the play because cold tires and rain are a nightmare. Struggled mightily. Turned the TC up too high and was losing exit speed. Finally got it figured out to run a semi decent rain pace but spun the car about 3 times from touching curbs. Never any damage but fell all the way back to 15. Awful time.
  • Brad W – P7 I had a decent qualifying spot but bobbled on the start coming out of the last corner. I lost a ton of spots and then the rain came. It has been a while since I raced in the rain but my gosh what a performance hit. FPS went from 140 to 55 at times. I managed to keep it on the track except for one spin early on the wets.

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – Richmond

  • Chris- P8. Stayed in the back to miss the carnage. Started to race hard with 40 to go. We actually had a long run until 25 to go. Took 4 fresh ones, missed all the carnage to bring the white Waldron’s Furnitue, iRacers Lounge, Sim Wraps, Priemer Set-ups Chevy home 8th for a great points night.

Sunday Open- NiS – Richmond

  • Joe – wrecked out

Sunday Fixed- NiS – Richmond

  • Mike- P11- call 5P 28 out of 35 worked my Way up to be as high as P3 was involved in a couple of incidents but nothing too major and kept it fairly clean to finish P 11.

Wednesday Open -NiS – Daytona

  • Chris – P 19. Went from 6th to 28th after top lane stalled out and was hung out to dry.
  • David – P 19.  Gambled on fuel, and couldn’t make it after the 1st GWC failed to complete.  Then just dropped out of the pack after having to go to the back cause i didn’t want to take incidents fighting for 17th at the end when you can’t move forward in this car.
  • Brad- P10 I had some connection issues early on that forced me to drop to the rear. Once they cleared up it was just a slow drive back to the front. David and I ran together for the second half of the race trying to conserve fuel. When a late yellow came out I came in for fuel and that was enough to survive the 2 GWC that we had. I was pretty conservative as this was my only chance for a start this week. I’ll take a p10 and head on to next week.

Thursday Open- NiS – Daytona

  • Mike- P ran a conservative race back half of the top 10 basically restarting with 35 to go. I was in the outside and there was a small gap in front of me. The guy in the bottom tried to come up and wasn’t even clear and just wiped out the entire packtoo much damage we’re done.
  • Chris – P 4. Mike, you watched take it from here. Thanks to you’re tik tok viewers for the support.

Official Series

FIA F4 Americas

  • Mike – P that harbor started at ninth finish ninth. I spent off once and had to recover some spots.

Mazda cup

  • Ellis – P tsukuba- qualified eight out of 12. Finish P5 nice clean race.

Gen 4

  • Ellis – P Michigan started 14th out of 21 had a longer run towards the end where I faded hard on tires back to 17th I got a late caution with a green light checker and was able to go from 17th to 10th finish P 10

A Fixed

  • Mike. P11- got my way up to the lead and lead the most laps near the end a green white checker. I was the leader on the outside. I didn’t have a good pushing help and we collapsed and fell back to finish P 11. What are you gonna do? You’re only as good as your pusher.
    • Started 14 out of 24 top. Got destroyed on lap seven in a large wreck of course I’m the one who can’t drive away totally destroyed and everyone else was able to drive away so I think I finished dead last.

B Fixed

  • Mike- Daytona qualified ninth out of 25. With two to go I got to the front of the outside. Lane was in a really good position with a run with help but the guy second on the bottom pulled up in front of me. I had nowhere to go ended up, pushing him to the win, finishing P3
    • Had a good race, ran upfront and led some laps near the end. I made a good move on a late restart from second on the bottom to leading the middle lane, and then some Brad Keselowski style moves blocking both lanes for a bit to hold them off to win career win number 114 winner winner, chicken dinner
    • Drive to back up the wind but couldn’t do it got in one wreck with seven minutes damage got three minutes of that fixed was kind of in the pack towards the end open for a top 10 but ended up P 14 out of 25

Ring Meister

  • Mike – P pro Mazda starting eight out of 18. Got punted right before the green flag. Somebody trying to go side-by-side. I had to stop and let everyone go by recovered back to finish P12
  • Started at seven didn’t last long. Got wrecked out early
  • Start at nine went off the track when I broke too late fell to the back and then worked my way back up to finish P9 out of 18

IMSA

  • Brad W – P3 (GT3 – Road Atlanta) This track has historically been one of my worst tracks. I normally have ok speed but usually wreck the car pushing too hard. I finally put one together completely and walked away with a podium. I really have to credit the time racing in GRR as a help for the officials. I have so much more confidence after running the league race and I think the results are showing it.
    • P3 (GT3 – VIR) I finished where I started but I never had enough speed to catch the top two. The bigger issue was the SOF spread between Prototype and GT3. A little over 500 less for the prototypes. This made the overtaking by the faster class extremely sketchy. I had some laps where I would lose 2-3 seconds from faster class cars cooking it into the corner and then either spinning out or running off and trying to rejoin. I know that there is only so much that can be done with the car counts but at VIR its rally compounded because of the track.
  • William W- Atlanta P10, P16, P12, P9
    • P10 – Running P6 and a guy dives in turn 1 and doesn’t hold his line. Right hooks me. Spin without damage but now 20 seconds behind. Gained a few positions, but P10 finish.
    • P16 – Disaster of a race. Quali slow around P12, 3 cars lost it each on their own coming out of T10, thought i made it through but of course 1 of them just keeps their foot in the gas, comes across and gets me in the left rear. Spun but no damage. Get going again but one the cars that caused the first wreck has tried to drive his car around the circut with ton of damage and loses it on the front stretch. Not my best moment but thought he was going to continue to cross the track, but he doesn’t hit the brakes until he’s in the middle of the track. Tbone him and take out 4 other cars. 10 min of non required repairs. Of course iRacing stewards see no wrong.
    • P12 – Running 6th in the middle of the race when 2 GTP try to pass going into 10. One on the far inside body checks the other sending him into me. Gives me 4 minutes of wheel damage. Car didn’t want to turn right which is a problem at Road Atlanta
    • P9 – Switched to the mustang because I had good testing with it. Finally had a mostly clean race with the exception of a 700IR GTP that is some how in my 3k SOF GT3 split. Clean race, but fast split so I feel like I finished close to where I deserved. Love46 was in this split, finished 5th.

GT Sprint Simucube Series

  • William W – P17 – Again just atrocious driving standards. Started P17 but was up to P10 by some spins in front and a couple of passes on pace. Then lap 5 P8 lost it coming out of turn 5 and of course doesn’t hit the brakes, I check up for the yellow, and of course no one behind me does. Get spun  and wheel damage. Limped around until I could pit. Wasn’t able to make up any spots. P17.

League / Hosted Races

Majors World Series of Asphalt

  • David = P13  Qualified 24th, 25 made top split.  Didn’t have great speed but just took care of my car most of the race and stay out of trouble.  Near the end of the race a driver claims to have had an equipment failure, as a result came back up on the track and I plowed into him.  It conveniently gave his brother a lucky dog, and this guy was 4 laps down and putting himself in places he shouldn’t have been that late in the race anyway.  But I did have a fast repair and held on to bring it in 13th in a tough field.

Grass Roots Racing

GTP/GT3 League – Laguna Seca Sprint Race

  • William W –  P5 – Laguna seca is a track that I’m slow at to begin with and then somehow find pace. Qualified a little slow in P6, messed up last quali lap. Made it to 4th by lap 3 and rode for a while. Jumped P3 in the pits and was catching P2 in the closing laps when I pushed too hard in the corkscrew and spun. Didn’t hit anything but had to make a 3 point turn at the wall. Fell to 6th and got 5th by the finish. Good race but threw away a podium.
  • Brad W – P10 – This was a mess on my side. Right at the end of practice I got dropped from the server. I made it back in but was only able to get 3 qualifying laps done. So that had me starting mid-field. Well I ended up spinning on lap one from cold tires. I went all the way to the rear. I was able to start making my way back up through the AM class only to spin again and nudge it into the wall coming out of T6. I pitted and took the fast repair. I was able to make some time up and get back to p10 in class but it was a tough night. Not my best track, wish we had been at VIR.

IROC Challenge Series Season 10 brought to you by PRS Rockingham Race 2

  • Kyle P18 started P35. Couldn’t find a good rhythm and just fought the tire wear and getting tight. Got caught up in a few wrecks and just couldn’t rebound. Looking forward to Dover next monday night.

Hosted-

  • Ellis – Daytona prototypes at Talladega got wrecked out twice
    • In the car at lime rock started P 28 out of 36

How To See Like A Pro

Listener Feedback: The Protest System

From DrOrzy:

Hey guys, just catching up on a cpl poddies so I’m a bit late.

Just listening to you guys talking about the Protest System – The biggest issue imo aside from the fact that it’s all kept behind closed doors is that there’s no real consequences for being a dick. Sure you get sat out for a week but is that really a punishment?! I understand from a business point of view that it might not be the smartest thing to start sitting out people for months at a time as I’m sure they will just end up leaving. HOWEVER, if it really is about teaching and learning from the moment, then why not bring in a system where the perpetrators must suffer a real consequence and prove themselves before getting back to the real racing?!

So my idea is sort of dishing out a Probationary licence which can vary in different grades depending on the severity or regularity of repeat offenders. This way they still have access to the service but are forced to learn from their mistakes before given the full licence back.

For example something like for a light offence you must complete 2 Rookie races with a maximum of 5 or 6 X’s per race. This will allow for someone running into them but at the same time force them to think about their race craft so as not to cause any extra X’s themselves.
For more severe cases and especially repeat offenders they can be handed a ā€œPractice onlyā€ Probationary license where they must complete a given number of minimum HOURS and laps before being back allowed to race in officials.

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – Watkins Glen

  • Kyle – P10 had a sloppy start to the race. Started P9 and picked off a few spots in the first 3 laps and then avoiding a wreck I lost the car and slammed the left side again. Pitted instantly to avoid driving with damage and being slow.. 12 seconds of damage and I was back to speed. I came out 29th and just rocketed my way through cars. Pitted on lap 29 and came out just in front of the leader but my tires were too cold to hold him off so I just matched his lap times staying a half a second off his bumper. Finally with about 8 to go we started catching traffic so I backed off to let him split the cars up and then I pounced on 5 spots in 2 laps and just drove away to finish P10. I’ll take the 0x with a SR gain and the IR gain.

Sunday Open- NiS – Watkins Glen

  • Tom – P7
  • Kyle – P5 started P7 and just ran the piss out of the front tires for 27 laps and had made it to P3. Pitted and just held on for the rest of the race. Half spun into turn 1 and lost a couple of spots to bring it home P5.

Sunday Fixed- NiS – Watkins Glen

  • Kyle – P8 Started P7 and just hung around the top 10 all race. Midway lap car decided he didn’t want to give in and took my line into the bus stop so I dove through the grass and he doored me causing a small amount of damage and then claimed he didn’t know I was there. Guess his spotter was on a pee break. Coming to 1 to go, the crew chief says pit now and I had less than a lap of fuel left. Decided to stay out and just had to baby it around to save fuel. Turn 10 it sputters and by the end of turn 11 I had to coast to the finish.

Wednesday Open -NiS – Richmond

  • Kyle – P Wrecked. The car was great was playing the halfway strategy and just bounced back and forth through the field. On my last restart I got collected in a wreck and had over 10 minutes of damage. I’m one and done at Richmond. Can’t stand the nonstop cautions.
  • Chris – P 26. Got loose and wrecked myself. 18 cautions… rough night.
  • David – P11.  Started in the pits, immediate caution put me a lap down, piddled around a half a lap behind the pack for the first 100 laps, and got the lucky dog.  At some point I worked into the top 10.  Running 6 on a late restart and got straight left hooked while being all the way up against the wall.  Limp home 11th cause so many other cars were worse off. This racing is beyond trash, but you can protest saying fuck, but can’t protest guys who race like fucks.
  • Brad- P15 Started p9 and drove up to the front early. Was collected in a wreck about half way and had to fight back from a lap down and get damage fixed. The race was a total disaster in regards to race craft, 21 yellows for 87 laps. As the laps were winding down I was back in the top 10 and making my way back to the front. Last restart I was able to drive to p2 and just after taking the white flag, I was disconnected from the server. What a waste of 2.5 hours. So defeated and frustrated. If it could go wrong  this season, it has.

Thursday Open- NiS – Richmond

  • Mike- P wrecked out got involved in one of the mini cautions with three minutes damage was able to get almost all of it fixed before I eventually spun by myself causing caution got tagged several times and it killed the car DNF.

Official Series

Gen 4

  • Ellis – P car number 10 out of 16 at Dover start a 12. A clean race no cautions at all green flag stop at halfway where I blew a right front and I was able to bring it home p9
    • Had a good run I pinned on an early caution and no one else did didn’t catch any other cautions let some laps, what I needed to blew a tire with three to go pitted on the white but still finished P4

A Open

  • Brad W – P14 I spun during qualifying and started at the back. Again, another race with no race craft. I was collected in multiple wrecks and did nothing but rack up incident points. Was able to work way to the front and raced the last 50 laps with 16x and 1x away from a drive through. Last lap running in p6, turn 3 p4 sends it from about 10 cars back and hits me and spins himself out and that gives me a drive through and I get out to last on the lead lap. You just can’t make this stuff up. If there is a way out of my control to have a good run ruined, it is happening to me.

C Open

  • Kyle P6 – Watkins Glen started P10. I decided to go with strategy and save fuel for a handful of laps. Saved enough which saved my tires to not have to pit and after about 7 laps of falling to the back and saving fuel. I hammered down and just ran hot laps for the rest of the race. Working my way up to the front I see an old friend and decide that’s my goal to beat him. After about 4 laps of tracking him down it took 2 laps to get around him and set sail for the finish. 1st-6th didn’t pit and it looks like that was the right strategy to get a good finish. Watkins Glen was good to me this week. I think this might be my favorite road course.

Ring Meister

  • Mike – P SRF started P2 went into the grass trying to pass. Somebody fell back to 13th and rallied back to finish ninth with a classic game of chicken at the end and we both wrecked out. Basically it was super fun.
    • Ran again, started second fell back to seventh ended up getting squeezed off and a tight corner and wrecked.
    • Start a P2 finish P4 had nothing for the top three they were faster
    • Then we switched to pro Mazda at the ring start at eight finish p seven.
    • Started at 11th out of 22 getting wrecked out and the first lap ended up launching over a curb trying to miss a different wreck and killed my car DNF
    • Was running fifth had a spin when someone ahead of me had spun save the car work my way back up and come into the checker. The guy behind me tried to overtake me on the final breaking, but missed the breaking point went across the grass and plowed me hard DNF about 50 yards from the finish line.
    • Next race qualified fifth finish ninth we finally finish but I did get wrecked with the car was OK so I was able to finish saw a massive unsafe rejoin. The guy was in the grass. Two of us were coming up the hill. He comes straight across the entire track right in front of us and get T-bone by one guy I barely missed.
    • Start a 10th finish 12 straightforward race.

IMSA

  • Brad W – P4. This was a good race. No major issue and had a good time trying to run down p3 towards the end. Somehow managed to only pick 2x over the entire race. I wish I could have run more of them but time was tight last week.
  • William W- Daytona P2,P2, P2, P2, P11, P8 – won’t talk about all of them or we’d be here an hour. The P2s were all good races but nothing out of the ordinary. Qualified around 2-5 for all of them and kept it consistent. Just couldn’t get over the hump for a win. Close on some, others the P1 was just way faster. The P11 I messed up qualifying. Spun lap 1 and lap 2 was .5 a lap slower that I had been all week on lap 2. Started 16th which put me in the middle of the messiest split I’ve seen in some time for all 3 classes. GT3 crashed before the line. Made it through but got some damage that cost some time on the oval portion. On about lap 9 place in front of me chopped my nose and spun himself, would have been fine but an oblivious GTP behind us never hit the brake. Spun me and caused wheel damage. Pit and fixed 4.5 min of repairs and still was able to finish 11th. Would have been 9th but had to splash fuel on the last lap. Proud of the P8. First time truly in top split IMSA with the exception of single split weeks. SOF of 3800. There were a couple aliens up front that were .5 a lap faster, but overall held my own in the 2.8-4k range. Tried real hard for 7th but good defending from him.

League / Hosted Races

Grass Roots Racing

GTP/GT3 League – Road Atlanta Sprint Race

  • William W –  P Last. Hardware failure on lap 8. Started dropping frames as soon as the green flag dropped after not having issues at all during 40 min of practice, 10 min of qualifying and another race previously. Caused an off track on lap 2. And then on 8 frames dropped to 10. Undriveable. Just tried to get off the track and out of peoples way and parked it. Not the way I was looking for my favorite track to go, but seemingly having more and more issues since the season 2 update. My overnight stints at Spa had issues with frames and so did a previous league race. Wiped the computer and seems to have helped but still not as smooth as it should be. Starting to get real old from the client.
  • Brad W – P6 overall and p5 in class. This has historically been a horrible track for me. I normally have decent pace but just have struggled to finish. The racing in this league is so good. We had 42 cars on track and everyone was really respectful all race long. I started toward the front and was able to stay in top 7-8 all race. Planning to get a couple officials in this week but they are a lot warmer temps than what GRR ran.

IROC Challenge Series Season 10 Daytona Race 1

  • Kyle P4 started P19 Started out like most super speedways just clicking off laps. Got involved in a midway wreck collected by TJ Majors. After using my 1 quick repair I was back on the hunt for the front. On the last caution we went green with 4 to go and I just stayed glued to the car in front of me. Until the last lap turn 2 I darted out and got a big run and jumped to 4th. Coming to the line, the top 5 spread out and I’m gaining quickly on the top 3 but just ran out of track to bring it home P4.

Sim Gaming Expo Semifinal

  • Brad W – P was wrecked out. I don’t think I had any chance to advance but really hated to get taken out after just 10 minutes of racing. The cars ahead of me really messed up coming out of the LeMans chicane. That gave me a great run and I had to shoot the middle to avoid hitting. The guy on the inside just decided to turn right and go up the track and take me and another driver out. One of the most stupid moves I’ve ever seen. That move took about 4 cars out. It would have been great to finish the race at least.
  • Greg- wrecked out
  • David – P21 – these guys were stupid fast
  • Mike P18 – started tail NP 25 had a very clean race no mistakes no nothing got as high as P 17 and finished P 18.

Hosted-

  • Ellis – Del Laura Dash at Talladega start at seven ended up winning winner winner chicken dinner made a great move up the middle to get my final track position
    • 87’s at Talladega got wrecked out on the White fighting for the win. One of the admin was involved and thought I caused it and actually black flagged me. I spoke up saying I actually got hit from behind so the next race I actually got a nice apology.
    • Supercars at Michigan got wrecked out while leading. Had come from the back.

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – Iowa

  • David – P dumped once again
  • Brad- P14. Started p6 and was in a very good spot for a good night until the yellow came out in the middle of green flag pit stops. This trapped all cars but 17 either 1 or 2 laps down. Was able to run a bit longer than some and made up ground as the race was finishing but was never ever to get back on the lead lap. Oh what could have been.
  • Kyle – P14 Qualified 15th and just drove my way to the top 10 passing brad but then faded backwards. Dropped to 16th and just drove around until a driver decided he was going to drive through me because he had just gotten fresh tires. Unfortunately it trapped brad a lap down but I will let him tell his story. Drove around the top 10 most of the race and pitted with 20 to go. Came out and just started picking off spots and trying to get back to the lead lap. Just ran out of laps on a really long green flag run and made it back to 14th for the finish.

Sunday Open- NiS – Iowa

  • David – P wrecked out at end by unavoidable.  BUt hte race craft just continues to be shit, getting close to quitting NiS again.

Sunday Fixed- NiS – Iowa

  • Mike- P3- had a great run really ran top five top 10 all day stayed out of trouble. Miss the racks had good tire strategy at the end but just not enough track position. I couldn’t really get the first and second on those final restarts but happy to bring home a podium finish P3
  • Tom – P wrecked out

Wednesday Open -NiS – Watkins Glen

  • Kyle – P19 Started P13. Car was fast and on rails. Worked up to P4 and was running down P3 half a second back and P3 gets out of shape in the bus stop and I tried to avoid him but in doing so I lost control and smacked the left side on the wall. Ran another 11 laps hurt and could just feel the left front was done for. Pitted on lap 20 and repaired almost 2 minutes of damage came out P27 and just picked off spots as I could. It sucks to be so fast and knowing I can compete for a top 5 and yet I have to just ride around 2 laps down. Onto friday night NIS to redeem myself.
  • Brad- P23 after starting p23 in top split. I should have been in the mid-teens but made too many mistakes throughout that race. Careless spins and lockups never allowed me to get back by drivers that were slower. I have said it before, it does not matter what car I drive , I just don’t race well at The Glen.

Thursday Open- NiS – Watkins Glen

  • Mike- P6 qualified P5. Lap three I go through the bus stop and get too close to the grass going over the curb. It launches me and the car bottoms out and spins out. I couldn’t get back going without letting everybody go by to avoid an unsafe rejoined blended back in 23rd and then drove up to P7 before pit stop started at halfway after stops and got to the end. I finished as P6. Great recovery.

Official Series

Gen 4

  • Ellis – P13 start a 14 out of 16th at Iowa top split. I run like garbage here and basically finished dead last on the lead lap P 13.
    • Indianapolis motor Speedway started 22nd out of 30 finished P 17 at some .44. The guy in front of me coming up off too didn’t go and I actually ran over him and got a bunch of front end damage.

Ring Meister

  • Mike – qualified on Paul this time I drove the Ferrari bottom split. Was able to finish P3 after a good battle at the end with a game of chicken on who’s gonna break first at the end of the long straight he ended up hitting me and getting by I was in second at a time.
    • Then pull position again it was able to keep it and actually pull a gap to win it by over 11 seconds winner winner chicken dinner!
    • Then started third ended up getting wrecked out going up the hill.
    • Then started fourth went off a few times never wrecked the car though and was able to recover to seventh from 10th
    • Monday night we switched to the spec racer. Ford started first and wrecked in like corner number three. I don’t know how to stop this thing.

IMSA

  • William W- P2 Daytona. Started P3 but messed up my second quali lap or could have had pole. Fell to P4 on the start and got moved out of the way in turn 1 on the second lap by a merc who shouldn’t be racing at this level. He then proceeded to park it in every apex because he was not faster. Fell to P7 at one point. Got to 6th by a spin, passed The aforementioned Merc when he over cooked it fighting P5 acura, got past the acura next lap, and then the merc proceeds to kill them both. Dodged a bullet there. Got 4th in the pits and got P2 and 3 on pace. Closed the 10 second gap to the leader to 1 second in the last 7 laps, but just lost too much time fighting those guys early. Good result. Will do a lot more of these before track changes on Monday.

League / Hosted Races

Grass Roots Racing

GTP/GT3 League – Daytona Endurance Race

  • William W –  P7. Started dead last because of work. Literally got into the sim with 45 seconds left to grid. Had to fight from P30 all the way up. Got to P6 by the first pit stop but didn’t register in my brain that my stall would probably be early. Blew it by like 6, got lucky didn’t get DQ with the back up, lost to 12th by the time I came out. Got back up to 7th by the next stop, passed Will for 6th and probably could have gotten 5th but self spun coming out of the bus stop pushing too hard. Luckily not much damage. Fell to 9th, recovered to 7th for finish. I love my job, but sometimes it really sucks. This was a track I could definitely have pushed for the win on pace. Was a great drive through the field, but man what could have been.
  • Brad W – P spun out and quit. I qualified up front but contact with the rear of a car in front of me coming through T6 caused me to spin out. I watched the entire field come by before being able to get going. From then on I was driving very aggressively trying to make up time but having to be careful with slower cars not in my class. Ended up having some that were just determined to race me, not sure why but I ended up spinning again in T6 and decided to park it. There was no chance for points and it was the perfect ending to one of the worst days at work in some time.

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – Indy

  • David – P12
  • Brad- P Wrecked Out Lap 2. Had the oddest wreck coming off of T2. I had a run on the car ahead and I pulled to drivers left coming off the corner and the car just broke loose and spun into the outside wall. I really can’t explain it.
  • Kyle – P15 track temp was hot and so was my temper. Couldn’t keep the backend of the car in the right direction off of 4 and couldn’t get slowed down enough for turn 3. Was able to avoid the mess of all the wrecks. Wanted to bring home a win at my home track. Maybe next year?

Sunday Open- NiS – Indy

  • David – P3, flipped track position with pit strat
  • Kyle – P11 started P10. Car felt great even on a long run. Restarts were wild. Got collected in a restart wreck that required about 30 seconds of repairs and then I had to march back to the front. To bring it home P11.

Wednesday Open -NiS – Iowa

  • Kyle – P4 Started P6 car was great fell back to 12th when I half spun but worked back up to the front during a 67 lap run. Restarted P2 with 3 to go. Would of been a P2 finish but I over drove turn 3 on the last lap and lost 2 spots.
  • Chris – P 6. Cautions came out hot and heavy. Used ChatGPT to crew chief me. Took 2 tires with 3 to go starting P10. There was a wreck every GWC, ended under yellow P6. Should be 4th but cars that wrecked got their spot back. Good run for the championship. Big thanks to our sponsors: Waldron’s Furniture, iRacers Lounge, Premier Setups, and Sim Wraps — keeping us fast, smart, and looking sharp all season long.ā€
  • David – p22, got straight dumped, guy claims there was a gap, was no gap he just hit my rear bumper
  • Brad- P24 after starting p5. I tried to pace myself early on and save tires. I was running in the top 10 till getting off on the pit cycle. I was working my way back toward the front when a car head spun to the inside in T3. I went to pass him high and he hit a car on his inside and came back up into the racing line. Almost 9 minutes of damage. Sat and got all repaired just to save SR. The iRating slide continues….2k bound it seems.

Thursday Open- NiS – Iowa

  • Mike- P9 two or three cars wrecked on the pace lap from a guy scrubbing his tires and spinning out and wiping out the outside Lane. Had a pretty good run with green flag stops, was caught a lap down after that but the caution came out, took the wave around and got another quick caution got dumped running in the top eight near the end but was able to recover back due to several late cautions to finish P9.

Official Series

Gen 4

  • Ellis – P20- at Talladega got near the front, but didn’t have good moves and ended up getting involved in other people’s big racks and finished P 20
    • Top split Sunday night had a great run going and got in a wreck two minutes damage. The engine wouldn’t go over 140 miles an hour when I fix the two minutes it was perfectly fine. It was really weird but recovered from that was able to lead laps, including right near the end. I was dumped while leading finished P 22.
    • Had a great race go on top split was second coming to the white I went to go up and around the leader and he went to block and took us both out. Finished P 16.
    • Finish P 14 out a P 16 got involved in it. Another personā€˜s rack couldn’t miss it. Eight minutes damage had to limp at home.

A Open

  • Brad W – P18 (Iowa) Started p6 and was doing ok till getting loose off of T4. Popped teh wall and had 2 minutes of damage. Was able to get all but 30 seconds fixed. The race came down to GWC and I was in a good spot to salvage a p10-12 spot. Only to get collected in a wreck. I’m really struggling to find enjoyment right now.

B Open

  • Kyle – P13 Some of the most fun you can have in a car. The car was a blast to drive especially when the whole race goes green and you get to do green flag pit stops. Started P14 and just ran all 60 laps as consistently as possible. This car really should get its own half length official races. And no I didn’t Austin Hill anyone.

Ring Meister

  • Mike – qualified 16 out of 27GT3Z the Nunberg ring. Got wrecked out pretty early.
    • Qualified before the x-ray and ended up on pole position starting first out of 30 but but out while leading about a quarter way into the lap held my break almost every single car got around me in the last guy to come by clips me and gives me heavy damage
    • Started second, but wrecked out in one of the first corners by hitting the turtles and put it in the wall
    • Try again, sharded second made it about a quarter lap before I went off track and killed the car

GT4

  • William –  P13 –Will Weaver convinced me to run GT4 at Silverstone. Was a disaster. Haven’t run GT4 in about a year, qualified slow and forgot to change to race setup. Had to pit 4 laps in.

FIA F4 Americas

  • Mike – P Laguna Seca started 19th finish P 17 spun off once

League / Hosted Races

Grass Roots Racing

GTP/GT3 League – Silverstone Sprint Race

  • William W –  P7. Botched quali so had a tough road ahead of me. On lap 2 in turn 3 there was a huge stack up and I got damage from hitting the car in front. Was running 6th at the time, but that really hurt on the straights. Let brad by for 6th because he was faster and pit as soon as I could to get the damage fixed. Came out about 6 seconds behind brad after it cycled and ran him down the last 2 laps, but couldn’t get the pass done. Don’t hate the track, but not my favorite.
  • Brad W – P6 Did not have a great qualifying session so started mid teens. Was able to gain a bunch of spots on the start. Had a great battle with William early on that we would resume as the race was ending. I was very excited to see this track on the schedule for IMSA this season but it was changed to the Bend after the update. Felt more like a GT3 race than multiclass racing. I can’t believe I’m going to say it but we need some GTP drivers.

KCE Racing League

  • Donnie S –  Sunday Night Truck Series – Iowa – Started P13, Finished P13.  I had a good strategy going until I self spun off of four during final stops putting me a lap down.  Turn four was especially difficult throughout the race.
    • Tuesday Night Gen4 – Las Vegas – Started in the rear, Finished P8.  Tire wear was brutal throughout the race prompting several different strategies.

Hosted-

  • Ellis – Indy car at Charlotte oval with damage off got through the race with a couple spectacular wrecks. A lot of fun.
