It has the full grid covered with suggested/allowed position indicated for each car, including separation between class if I understand correctly. iRacing can surely solve this in one way or another because the current situation is well short of what’s appropriate (and possible) for cleaner multi-class starts. Friday Open – Bristol

  • Mike – P disqualified out at lap 289. I was actually leading the race when I got the drive-through penalty from a lap car sideswiping me.  None of my incidents were actual wrecks that I caused or were involved with. They were just small brushes with people that got caught up.  
  • Greg – P4
  • Kyle- p4

Wednesday Open – Kansas

  • Mike- P wrecked out in the first caution
  • Justin – P forgot to take tires and got back with the squirrels
  • Tyler – P20 ran a great race until a sloppy late restart on the outside from 6th as 2nd never went on green. Put me in the back and played catchup with a ton of cautions. Then doored twice by the same person as he couldn’t keep it low. Felt fast and enjoyed the run under green. Gutted to have these finishes where I’m a contender only to finish this far back. 
  • Brad W – P3. Started p9. Stayed at the front all race and tried to manage my tires. Seemed like all of the accidents were happening around me. The race was looking like it was going to play into a long run but a caution flag in the middle of green flag stops ended that thought. Spent the last 40 laps cycling through yellow flags. Had an incident on the next to last restart where I did not give another driver enough room off of T2 and he spun. Managed to get a decent restart and grab third. Nice to finish one of these for once.
  • Chris W – P 9. Got 8x on restarts and the race got sloppy it’s 40 to go. We had about 12 laps of green the last 40 laps. With 16x brought it home P9. Hit 3400iR a NEW personal record.

Conspire Endurance Series – Fuji

  • .Greg & David – P4

FIA F4 

  • Ellis– at Indianapolis first race of the week I made top split Chase Cabre ended up winning the race. I finished fifth after starting eighth and got 94 points.
    • Holy cow top split. And another P5 for 105 points.!!!!

A Open

  • Tyler – P5 at Kansas. Car felt great on the long run. Had one caution on the start and stayed green the rest of the way. Really enjoyed the late race battles on old tires. 
  • Kyle Started P 11 and just had a bad ass car. Car was strong. Led 12 laps and battled countless times for the lead. Big shout out to Rich Knott and the battle we had off an on for the last 10 laps. Finished P3

IMSA

  • Hall – P Fuji 4th, Mosport Wr,6th ,Wr
  • Brad – P9 (GTD-Mosport) Started on pole in the rain. Had the quickest car and drove away to a 5 second lead only to get hit by a GTP. Regained control and drove back out to a 7 second lead only to get wrecked and have my race ended by the GTP leader. No patience from either of them especially in the rain.

P1 (GTD-Mosport) Started on pole but was not as quick as p2. He passed me on lap two and was able to pull away. Was settling for 2nd but he made a fuel error when pitting and that forced him to make a second stop. I will take the win after being robbed the night before.


League / Hosted Races

Hosted- 

  • Ellis- old Indy car at old Pocono. Started dead last finish P4.
    • Mini stock at Bristol started 43rd out of 60 and actually winner winner chicken dinner. I brought it home.
    • 87. Talladega.

“To do it here, the Coke Series, the Hall of Fame in front of a live audience, absolutely nothing even comes close to this,” White said. “I couldn’t be happier. I’ve never celebrated a win like that.”

On hand to take in the festivities was NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr., who presented the trophy, named in his honor, to White after the event.

It was a full-circle moment for White, who has been a longtime NASCAR fan.

“The biggest thing for me is Dale Jr. is my all-time favorite driver,” White said. “He was my idol as a kid. That moment … just hugging Dale there next to the trophy, it means quite literally everything to me. I don’t know how else to explain it other than surreal.”

“I love the worlds of iRacing and NASCAR coming together equally to drive awareness and support for the event, but also for the sim-racing community,” Earnhardt Jr. told NASCAR.com. “This is a night to celebrate one particular driver but also the four and all the drivers that are in this series. Even a little bit of a bigger deal for because of what the sim-racing community has meant to my life and so I know how it’s positively affected my life and all the guys that are racing in this series and the thousands of customers that are racing on the service that are creating brand new friendships every single day.

“I think that’s where the asset and the value is for NASCAR. Not only can the sim-racing community enrich your life, but there’s a younger demographic there that NASCAR can tap into as well. To see just the growth of the event alone in the last three years has been amazing.”

I just started listening to the iracers lounge and I love your show. I listen to you to keep up on the world of sim racing. On a couple of shows, you downplayed the Logitech G Pro wheel as something that should be avoided or a ‘hard pass.’ Let me provide a situation where maybe the Logitech Pro shouldn’t be overlooked.

I built a GT7 only rig for use with the PSVR2 on Playstation 5. At the time the only two solutions were Fanatec and Logitech. Fanatec’s future was uncertain, and you suggested staying away from Fanatec because support and software updates were unknown. That left Logitech as the only viable solution for direct drive PS5 support.

For sim racers that are PS5-based, the Logitech G Pro is a pretty good wheel/pedal solution, especially if you are still unsure of Fanatec.

I’m not biased, this is my backup rig, my primary rig is for iRacing and uses a Simucube Pro and Heusinkveld Pro pedals.

Friday Open – Talladega

  • Mike – P10– ran near the front most of the night on the last run we could just barely make it on fuel if we saved, saved like crazy the entire stent and made it to the end was only .1 left of fuel. 
  • Greg – P
  • Kyle- P5 kept it clean for the most part and only ran the bottom until 3 laps to go and the lanes all went to the top and I was able to get a draft with some cars and brought it home P5
  • Tony -P Ran out of gas on gwc 3of3 😑
  • John -P wrecked out on the final green white checker after starting in the top five on the restart
  • Brad – P9 after starting p9. We ran near the front most of the night but were on the wrong fuel strategy. We saved enough but gave up too much track position to those that pitted and ran full speed.

Sunday Open – Talladega

  • Mike- P1 winner winner, chicken dinner a great race I stayed up front. Most of the race was in command, leading the race near the end with a bunch of late cautions had a great help from Aaron Macearchin he stayed with me the whole time pushing me right up to the checker and he got dumped from the guy behind him. Lost my help the outside was coming, but I did beat them to the line just barely.  That’s my 102nd career win, my first win of the year in this season in this series. So happy to finally close the deal this year. 
  • Chris- P 6. Stayed back the whole race. Missed the late wrecks. Got GWC got out the outside and gained 10 spots to finish P6. 
  • Justin -P wrecked out
  • Greg –P8 started third on the second green white checker and then a caution came out and had to pit for fuel. 
  • Tom – P4

Sunday Fixed – Talladega

  • Mike- P wrecked out on the second green white checker. Led a lot of laps on the final run and had to save fuel. I was at 90% throttle as the leader for the whole run and then we had a late caution and decided to pit for fuel for green white checkers since I didn’t have enough for that and couldn’t get my Way made back up through there without getting wrecked. Shoulda stayed out 
  • Justin – P5
  • Chris – P 25. Missed a big wreck while I was trying to run up front. Had to pull down to the pits to miss it. Black Flag City “passing under yellow, entering closed pit” served a 26 second penalty and went 2 laps down. Got one back but fell short of the second. P25
  • Kyle P9 started P13 and got collected up in a big one. Had over 9 minutes of damage to fix. Decided to fix it little by little until near the end i was able to fix it all and was able to keep decent speed. After 2 GWC I was sitting P19 and then Mr Pearson jumped in and became my spotter and the man painted a beautiful picture of what was going on in front of me and what lane to use. I went to high lane 3 sometimes 4 wide and avoided wrecks that were happening in front of me and thanks to Justin’s guidance as it all happened he directed me to a P9 finish.

Wednesday Open – Charlotte ROVAL

  • Mike- P there was a big pile up and turned two at the beginning of the race that I had to stop because the track was blocked and I ended up being dead lasted after that then worked my way up to 15 around halfway before I wrecked out around halfway,, ended up, hitting the wall and having about six minutes damage it wasn’t even drivable after repairs
  • Brad W – P24 after starting p24. I was in the top split and knew that a top 20 would be about the best I could hope for. Ran clean and worked my way up to p18 until 4 laps to go. Something broke in the right front coming out of the infield section. Car hooked right and plowed the wall killing the motor. Up until that point I had only a 1x from cutting the curb too tight on the front stretch. Very weird.
  • Kyle P – P16 got involved in 3 incidents on lap 1 and 2 and got in a big one due to a stopped car going into nascar turn 1 and got a meatball on lap 5. Fixed the 6 minutes of damage and just drove around until the end bringing home a P16 after having to do a drive through.
  • Greg – P22
  • Chris W – P 21. I hate the Roval with a passion. Crashed out. Glad to be put out of my misery.

Thursday Open – Charlotte ROVAL 

  • Mike- P choked and qualifying card number 34 of top split started dead last. Somebody spun in front of me on the pace slap and I actually hit the wall under pacing we got started. I worked my way up to about 27th with some great moves, and then I spun on my own and fell back again. Later on after I’ve settled in and I’m just clicking off laps. The leader in the one car comes up behind me to lap me going into the final chicane and as we exit the chicane, he decides to run through me and dumps me into the outside wall, destroying the car dnf. This is actually my sixth DNF in a row since Sunday morning.

Official Series

FIA F4 

  • Ellis–3rd attempt at Brazil worked my way up to P5, but then spun on my own fell back to 10th and then racing a guy side-by-side. He went on the grass and came up and took me out fell back  was able to finish 10th.
    • Fourth attempt started fifth worked my way up to second was pressuring the leader which caused him to spin and turn one. I couldn’t avoid it and literally drove over the top of him. Add damage didn’t pit was only fifth worked my way up to finish P3 94 points.  My second attempt was 95 oh well.
    • First attempt at Watkins Glen boot started 12th stage safe until we got to the bus stop. We were still double wide filing through the bus stop the guy behind me this sailed in there and ran over the top of me had to tow went back out from 20th and worked my way back to finish P 16.
    • Tuesday night, May 3 and fourth attempt and unbelievably wrecked out in both races lap one. Third attempt I went down to turn one they were sitting sideways, blocking the track. Fourth attempt I made it clear to the bus stop before I got ran over from behind.
  • Kyle P3 at the glen in FIA F4 fixed. Ran a solid race and just hit my marks. Car was glued to the track and it was fast, but not fast enough.
  • Kyle P18 ran a good race and got into a 2 lap battle with P5 and on the last lap he took me out entering the bus stop and ended my race. Protest Was FIled.

Wednesday Fixed – Talladega

  • Justin- P1 Strategy played to my favor again. We had a caution 25 to go. I Just put enough gas in her to finish the scheduled distance which gained me 5 spots to put me on the front row. I recommend an ignition switch. It helped me save a ton of fuel for the G/W/C’s. Luckily I held P1. I never have been so close with fuel. I started sputtering at the tri oval taking the checkered. I gotta say one thing better than the win was I had a listener in the race that introduced himself to me. He said he was a weekly listener shout out to Tom Gulker we went 1 -2.

Wednesday Open – Talladega

  • Mike- P disqualified out with one to go. Let some laps during the race but was involved in many different incidents that were not my doing and basically ran out of incident points. The TikTok stream blew up. I had somewhere between 300 to 500 watchers at any given time 24,000 views, six gifts, 185 followers and 16,000 likes  .
  • Brad W – P31 after starting p10. One of the worst drafting races I can remember being in. Most of the guys raced like monkeys using a hammer for the first time.
  • Tony P19 got stuck being pushed from a damaged car. My split on had 2 cautionstand they were in the first half Of the race 
  • Bobby – P3
  • Greg – P13 – No Caution with a couple to go split the field
  • Chris W – P9. Race was sloppy. I was in 4 wrecks and had 16x. On white flag lap of GWC…. Call me Moses… There were several wrecks and the seas parted. Went from 25th to 9th on the last lap! P9!

Thursday Open – Talladega

  • Mike- P20- started in the back this time we had a green flag run and a green flag stop with caution shortly after somehow someway I cycled up the fifth after that and stayed upfront for the part of it but eventually got wrecked out really bad four minutes damage limped it home.

  • Ellis– 1st race of the week at inner Lagos Brazil qualified seventh ended up spinning on my own three different times and finished P9 out of 18
    • I started sixth and got to fourth and then on the last lap was able to get to third was able to keep the car under me and not overdrive it. Thanks Justin for getting my head on straight P3 with a 96 points

IMSA

  • Hall – P7 at Spa even with a twice intentional wrecker,   at Mosport p6, 7, 7, 
  • Brad – P6 (GTD-Spa) Started p4 and had decent pace. Came out after pitting and was pushing hard to keep p5 behind me only to self spin coming out of Blanchimont.

FIA F4 

Ellis -Rd., Atlanta started sixth finished P5 race a blinker the entire entire time. I told him he was blinking a couple times he didn’t care we ended up spending each other out at one point but didn’t lose any spots somehow but I was number 21 so pretty good points for the day.

C Open

  • John K – P4 at Daytona. This was a pit strategy race. I was running P6 in the lead pack and decided to pit alone. Risky, but it paid off because others stayed out too long. Came out of pits in 4th and stayed there. It’s hard to believe, but my irating and safety ratings have gone up since doing C races instead of NIS. That is a sad statement on the state of affairs in NIS.

IMSA

  • Brad – P8 (GTD-Road America) Started p8 and finished. Was bottom car in upper split and had the pace of an 8th place car. Really struggled on the long straights in the Corvette. Not sure if it is just top end or me not getting great exits. Sitting 2nd in points by 3. Need to get a better result before next week.


League / Hosted Races

iRacers Lounge Dega 200

  • Brad – P23 Got wrecked, fixed damage and drove to the lead and got hooked.
  • Chris W – P 1. We had a 43 car field. Stayed in the back for the first 75% of the race. Was one of the few untouched cars at the end. Started behind Greg for GWC. We got a big lead and I was able to pass him in the tri-oval for the win by .037 of a second.

  • Ellis-Chris McGuire supercars at Michigan, Michigan finished P9
    • Imsa  cars at spa. Started at 18th to 10th by end of lap one. Worked my way up to finish P7.
    • 1987 @Talladega. Started in the back and win it winner winner chicken dinner.!!!

    • COT car at Talladega. P9
    • Pick up cup at Charlotte wrecked out

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – Indy

  • Mike – P6- Ran good worked my way to the front laps for a while. Had a couple times where I got shoveled to the back and had to work my way through the pack and car speed. The brake pedal is messed up. I’m surprised I was able to get by with it.
  • Tony -P11 knew i was fucked when  caution came out with like 10 to go. Was shit in the short run. Got used worse than a lot lizards coke bottle
  • David- P got conned into running cause teammates.  Taken out by a wreck in front of me.  I declare it official. I’m off NiS for at least the season.
  • John -PLast. Before the race I told Tony Rochette to watch out for the #8 because he is oblivious to his surroundings. So, on lap 1, turn 1 the 8 car turned down into my lane and ended my night. It’s guys like him that have killed me week after week. Done with NIS for now. I’m a B car and C truck driver for now. 
  • Brad – P34. Started p5 and was wadded up by turn 3. Leader lost it getting into turn 3 and I could not avoid it. Really frustrated that I have had such poor showings in all the big races this year.

Sunday Open – Indy

  • Mike- P4! – Fairly competitive car ran top five most of the day let some laps just didn’t have enough for some of these guys at the end. They’re faster than me but pretty happy with that result. 
  • Tony – P wrecked out
  • Bobby-P wrecked outP32 after leading roughly 1st 20 laps. Lost 88 irating.

Official Series

Spa 24 – 

  • Brad, Greg, Justin, Tom, David– P7.  We had a few mistakes and a power outage that probably cost us a total of 15 minutes of track position.  Might have had a shot at a podium, but still finished in a very drivable car. 

FIA F4 

  • Ellis – lime rock – lap one turn four side-by-side. I see a guy up ahead off track. He decides to rejoin the track, literally as we are coming by and destroys all of us.
    • From dive bomber dives to turn one on lap, two wipes out two or three of us I couldn’t miss it
    • Get wrecked out again, but take a quick repair and drive it back up to finish P 10
    • Started P7 made no mistakes and gradually worked my way up to finish P3. I will take that result for the week and park it probably.

Rain Master

  • Ellis -Ferrari- P1 Oulton park – took pole position! fell the second at one point but led the most laps had about a 30 second lead. I spun it on the final lap, but somehow got it running and still finished so I’m 20 seconds ahead of second place.
    • Qualified P6 went all four times and finished P8

C Open

  • John K – P1. Qualified P2 and stayed in top 5 the whole race. On the last lap a guy who was overly aggressive the whole race took out the top three cars on the back stretch. This guy was bump drafting the whole race even though the bumpees had cars in front of them. He tried to bump P3 and spun him out. I benefited from his incompetence. I went around it and cruised to the win. 

IMSA

  • Brad – P1 (GTD-Interlagos) Started p3 and the leaders got together on lap 3. Was in the right place at the right time. Was able to drive away from the field and score first win since being back on the service.
    • P1 (GTD-Fuji) Started p2 and took the lead on lap one. Was able to stretch it out while p2 and 3 were fighting for position. Had a 9 second lead after pitting but lost some time as all faster traffic was catching me at the worst places. Can’t believe that I won two races back to back. Currently leading the championship in Division 3.

  • Winner winner, chicken dinner !! My first time in the dirt midget at dirt Lanier. So the whole Stone only put in 2.4 gallons and you can’t refuel the car that we knew this from the beginning so from the get-go I never put down the throttle more than 50% and I was the only person that actually finished the race. I finished ahead of everybody by four laps. I beat the entire field of 44 cars.

Friday Open – Pocono

  • John -P24. Started P19, This was what is now a typical NIS race. 31 out of 81 laps under caution. I got creamed 5 times; none my fault. Spent  a ton of time in the pits getting repaired; I would get it fixed only to get clobbered again and need more repairs. Not to complain too much, but NIS is becoming less and less enjoyable. I’m not quitting, but you’re not safe even running up towards the front anymore. It’s so bad, we had a really bad blinker. He was told over and over again. His response: “F you guys. I don’t care, I’m racing”. I know it’s protestable, but after these races I don’t have the will to send in a replay. 
  • Chris W – P 12. Kept it out of trouble and avoided several wrecks on the end. 5 to go restart I was P9 and brought it home P12.

Sunday Open – Pocono

  • Mike- P wrecked out on the start because I was trying to shift with buttons and didn’t go up in gear. I went down in gear and blew the engine.
  • David – P wrecked out,  i’m really about done with the A car
  • Justin -P wrecked out from being a side, drafting fool
  • Greg –P4 went 44 laps on fuel at the end with a couple cautions and guys with fresher tires beat me
  • Bobby- wrecked out Ran a fairly clean race till restart with 3 to go when fucktards lost their minds and just started door banging everything in sight. Would have been like 6th even with throttle not reaching 100% most straights.

Wednesday Open – Indy 

  • Mike- P15- I have a problem with my pedals not working right so it was not comfortable not the fastest out there but hung in there and got a top 15
  • David – P19 , i don’t wanna do this anymore.
  • Justin – P2 I would give anything to have the last run back 10 to go. I was p10 when I entered pit road and I was the only one that took 2 tires exited  P2. On the restart I passed the leader quickly held the lead until the last lap, last turn. I could have driven the car harder there was plenty left. I know I should be happy but this one got away from me. Should have won. O well head up try again. 
  • Brad W – P20. Started p3 and was in the top 10 for the first half of the race. Ended up getting wrecked twice. The first was somewhat expected and the second was unintentional. Really frustrated as the car had great speed and should have been competing for a win.
  • Greg – P Winner Winner, (Pole, Most Laps Led, And Win)
  • Chris W – P. 13 took a gamble on fuel strategy. Was leading with 20 to go and was running low. Needed a caution and never got it. Took fuel and 4 tires came out 18th and drove up to 13th.

Official Series

FIA F4 

  • Ellis – Long Beach qualified 10 out of 19. Big pile up turn one lap one I slowed down and missed all of it and came out of that turn. P3 fell back to P5, but worked my way back up to finish P2.!
    • Started 12 got to seventh on the first lap and was able to finish P7
    • Started at 13 at Laguna Seca. Got to 11th after the first lab and worked my way up to finish P4.
    • Screwed up qualifying. Start at 18. Got in a lap one incident where I had to pit for repairs came out 20th worked my way back up to finish P 12.
    • Wrecked out 
    • Qualified seventh finish P7

A Open 

  • Brad W – P21 (Indy) Started p14 but took it easy on start. Very hard to pass and if you started one but did not complete it, you were a sitting duck. Race had a long green flag run to the end that allowed for green flag stops. Stayed out two extra laps and that was a mistake. Lost too much time to cars that I was racing with. Top split p21 and I learned quite a bit.

IMSA

  • Brad – P3 (GTD-CTMP) Started p4 in class and ran in top 3 most of the race. Was raining the entire race but was drivable. Drove up to p2 before pit stops and did my normal strategy of pitting late but p3 pitted earlier than me and jumped me during my stop. Was up to p2 in points after the week ended.

Friday Open – Chicago Street Course

  • Brad – P17 after starting p27 in top split. Was able to avoid the carnage and multiple wrecks ahead of me. Managed to finish with 0x! I’ll take it.

Wednesday Open – Pocono 

  • David – P the hits keep on comin
  • Tyler – P1 We won it! Started in the back and stayed clean and patient. Let the car come in and kept tires cool. Late caution with 10 or so to go split the field on tire strategy and we stayed out. Ran my fastest lap on the last lap. Major team effort as credit has to go to the Team Tifosi. Justin with adjustments, Brad with the blocks. Chris and Tom on strategy. Full team effort and I am beyond grateful. Yall got me this victory. NIS win #2, Did It For Dale! 
  • Brad W – P3 after starting p6. Ran in the top five for the first 25 laps till getting doored into the wall off of T3. Pitted twice to get all the repairs done and came from the back twice. Had a green flag stop with 20 to go and only took right side tires to try and gain track position. This left me with no more right side tires when the last yellow came out. Stayed out and restarted p2 with Tyler but on final GWC got ran up the track by p3 and lost one spot. From that point I was defending Tyler. I’ll take the p3 but would have loved to have gotten a 1-2 finish.
  • Bobby – P9th with a destroyed car
  • Chris W – P 24. Stayed out on a late caution on semi-new tires. Was P5 with 5 to go and got turned going into Turn 1. Car flipped then blew my motor. P24.

  • Hall – P  The 24 got DDoS’ed
  • Brad – P2 (GTD-Daytona) Started p13 and finally put an entire race together. Was quick and was able to drive through the field. Was matching the speed of the leader at the end but just too far back to catch him. Ran the race with 0x till the last lap I somehow cut the bus stop and had to back way off to avoid crossing the line with a penalty. P3 almost got me as I took the checkered.

Mike Try’s To Find Hosted Racing in the UI

So trying to find a hosted race. I know the guys name that hosts is Chris. On the old website in hosted they had a column showing the name of the host and you could sort that alphabetically. (No such column in the UI. )

So then I will just look for some populated races that I can run. So I sort by the only column indicator in the UI, xx/xx Stall count…. OK here is one that says 24/60 lets try that. So I am glad I didnt click Register, i click the line, and there are only two people in the room! There is nothing in the initial list that will show how actually populated the room is. And you guessed it, you could see all that, AND MORE, without a single mouseclick on the old website…

All they had to do is re-create the same functionality that existed in the website, then make it better. They haven’t even completed step A.

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – Nashville

  • Mike – P 9- ran pretty good pretty uneventful race did some strategy to get some track position and was able to keep it when I had older tires ran high as p two
  • Tony -P3 started 7th and quickly fell back and was stuck in a gaggle of cluster nuts. Even got stuck a lap down during green flag stops when a caution came. Got my wave around and chaos still ensued. With like 13 laps on a set, I stayed out with 2 other guys and held on to the top 3 to what felt like 10 cautions to the end. Probably would’ve had the win if i wasn’t stumbling worse than Joe Biden
  • Chris W – P 20. Still trying to find speed. Late wrecks and tire saving sent me from 30th to 15th. Got bumped in the last turn to lose 5 spots and finished 20th. Lots of rain here in NY so I’ll give Sunday a shot. 

Sunday Open – Nashville

  • David – P wrecked lap 2, car spun in front, car behind had no chance to react and sandwiched me.
  • Chris – P 20. I thought Nashville would be a great week for me. However I could not carry a tune. Car started fast but was mad loose on exit. P20. 

Wednesday Open – Chicago Street Course 

  • Mike- P3! Started seventh got into a first lap incident where I overshot my breaking and drilled the guy in front of me. I was able to continue with a flat front and March my way methodically up to third. The leaders had pulled a large gap and at that point I couldn’t catch the top two and I ended up finishing P3 really felt like I backed up last year by getting a nice podium finish in my only start this week!  
  • John – P 15. 
  • Brad W – P26 – Started p27 but was dead last after the first corner as track was blocked. Managed to work my way back up to p21 but after getting passed by the leader, I stuffed it into the wall trying to make better time. Very frustrating track but will try again on Friday.
  • Bobby – P drill a guy who blew it engine. He would’ve had a top five.
  • Greg – P wrecked out

Official Series

FIA F4 

  • Ellis – at Montreal qualified fifth. I got front wing damage on the first lap and was going to pit to repair it but it couldn’t find a pit entrance. Several others had to pick so I decided to stay out and see if I could hold it and I could and finished P3.
    • Brazil with a damp track qualified P 18 on wet tires, everyone else was on dry so running the race on dry tires on a wet track with no rain though. It wasn’t really wet. This one had spray coming off the cars I spun once but otherwise a clean race finished P 13.
    • Qualified 16th and top split sun is out. Got wrecked out and turned two 
    • Qualified six got the fifth on the end of lab one but then got wrecked several times after towing I was 20th and worked my way back up to finish P 15
    • Qualified eight. Got the sixth by the end of lap one. Spun just once and fell to seventh but worked my way back up to finish P5.
    • Qualify third my fastest lap ever at this track. Got the second Bill lap one by lap five I took the lead but a faster car was coming and I couldn’t hold him off. He got by and I finished P2.

IMSA

  • Brad – P5 (GTD-Nurburgring) Started p3 but fell back to 5th after the first few laps. Ran my normal fuel strategy and after stops was out p4. Ended up looping it with the same lazy spin that I have been fighting with the Corvette. Really trying to figure out this car.

eNASCAR QUALIFYING iRACING SERIES

The eNASCAR Qualifying iRacing Series returns with the second round of the series kicking off with two snake-split races commencing simultaneously this Thursday at Chicagoland Speedway. The top 70 drivers from the first round earned a chance to compete in the second round, and now the top 20 in Round 2 will get their shot to go up against the bottom 20 from the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series this season in the Contender Series later this year.

There is some evidence from the professional simulation world that larger screens set farther back are better for immersion, even when you have everything setup so you see the same FOV and have the same degrees per pixel density (pixels per degree?). Mostly this has to do with your eyes being more relaxed and relying less on parallax so they loose a sense of distance. But I also think it is less sensitive to head movement and that makes it feel more real. I don’t think it is a huge difference, but it is better.

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – New Hampshire

  • Mike – P7- pretty good race, uneventful for me stayed in the top 10 basically by the end I was in the top three or four for the green white checkers, but didn’t do very good on those and fell the seventh. 
  • Tony -Pscrew New Hampshire. I stayed away from this awful track. Can anyone name a good NH race that wasn’t wet?
  • David- parked it early cause I took out a teammate.  It was unintentional, I turned sooner than Justin, but I can only guess I didn’t brake at the right time because I was beside him when I didn’t want to be and he came down not expecting me to be there.  Worst I’ve probably ever felt in iRacing.
  • Justin-wrecked out early
  • John -P 10
  • Brad – P17 after starting p6. Race was good for the first half and then it was a wreck fest. Was caught up in everyone else’s mess. Finished with 22x. Race craft is gone.

Sunday Open – New Hampshire

  • David – P 22
  • Brad – P18 after starting p14. Ran in the top 10 virtually all the race until getting pushed up off of T4 into the wall with about 27 to go that resulted in damage and poor finish. Was in top split and looking to gain a ton of points. Super frustrated to run an hour and a half clean to end up wrecked again.

Wednesday Open – Nashville  

  • Mike- dq’d  out  actually no damage never ran higher than 19th
  • Justin – P up!
  • Brad W – P10, started p9. Ran around the top 10-12 all night. Had the race ran green till the end I think I was good for a p8. Had a couple late yellows and the car did not have enough fire off speed to hold positions. Happy with a top 10 but felt like I left some on the table.
  • Tony P17 just was slow and couldn’t get the car loose enough fast enough. Only 2 cautions and 130 laps green in the end.
  • Chris W – P16. Screen froze around lap 1 that sent me to the back with no damage. Road around the back trying to figure Nashville out. A few cautions late in the race and hard driving got me to 16th. .

Thursday Open – Nashville 

  • Mike- P wrecked out in the First caution some guy came up across my nose, too much damage to drive it
  • David – P20, Fell to back early avoiding, flipped track position to get back to the middle.  Top split.  Annoyed with 4x’s coming on minimal touches on restarts.  It’s supposed to be heavy contact.

Official Series

IndyCar IRacing Series – 

  • Ellis– P wrecked out. Just started my third set of tires from P9 and got wrecked on my out lap and then as I lifted it to Pitt Road some guy intentionally drove it in there and wrecked me real bad.  

FIA F4 

  • Ellis – mid Ohio was in a battle for the lead and got my winging taken off. Had to pit for repairs, P6 finished P5.
    • Qualified second-place winner, chicken dinner! 101st career win
    • Top split qualified 11th got wrecked on the first lap fitted for repair and worked my way back up to 11th
    • Qualify third. Got to the lead, but spun myself out, ended up with a slowdown and another spin out and fell back to P6.
    • Qualified 14th finish 14th spun a couple times on my own. I got to quit doing that.

A Open

  • Brad W – P5 (Nashville) started p3 and was in top 5 all race. Really tried to take care of the car and was able to keep leaders in sight. Had a 65 lap run to the finish and struggled towards the end. Was clean the entire race until getting doored coming to the checkered. SR has been on a slide the last two weeks.

IMSA

  • Brad – P14 (GTD Algarve) This track is a challenge with the amount of elevation changes and double apex corners. Had made it into top 10 until miss judging a passing GTP turn in point for a corner. Got yelled at as usual even though I apologized. Committed to run this entire season every week a I want to continue to get better at sports cars and road racing.

INDYCAR iRacing Series

INDYCAR iRACING SERIES
With the return of INDYCAR, the INDYCAR iRacing Series (Open Setup) predominantly follows the real world INDYCAR schedule. It will have full length races on road courses while utilizing amended race distances for the ovals during the 16-week racing season.

The series returns for it’s ninth week of competition, this week at Laguna Seca, utilizing the Dallara IR-18 for 95 laps of racing.

Week 9 Schedule: Thursday, 01:00 GMT; Friday, 20:00 GMT, Saturday, 18:00 GMT; Sunday, 02:00 GMT

NASCAR iRacing Series

Thursday Fixed – Iowa

  • Jusitn- P1, Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. Only led 1 lap and that was the last one, I have probably choked the last 10 GWC being  on the front row and now I finally closed one!

Friday Open – Iowa

  • Mike -P got a passing to the left black flag when the leaders wrecked out and I had to avoid them then running a lap down on a restart somebody misses the gear and they all stack up and they turn each other and take out the outside lane, including me, DNF
  • Tony -P7 race was typical nis short track’n was caught up in 4 yes 4 wrecks in front of me from guys not knowing how to handle the bump. Spent last 120 laps on 16x. Finally had a nice long run at the end of the night which i was a moving through the field. Iowa isn’t that hard to drive 
  • Brad – P wrecked on lap 2!
  • Hall – P wrecked out, caution fest, a lot of idiots, I’m going low to avoid a near wreck up high and then get loose and over correct

Sunday Open – Iowa

  • Mike- P wrecked out didn’t have the right set in the car and I couldn’t drive it and wrecked. I was distracted going into this race by some other stuff and that messed me up.
  • Kyle P P Ran Out Of TALENT early. Was top 10 for the first 20ish laps and just lost it off of 4 and nosed into the outside wall and then collected a half dozen others and the car was just “D O N E”    DONE!

Wednesday Open – New Hampshire  

  • Mike- P17- first lap I get wrecked out by some bonehead who can’t hold his car meatball with 4 1/2 minutes damage. Limp around and get it fixed throughout. During one caution while getting damage fixed as I went to leave the pit it decided to give me another set of tires so I ended up taking two sets of tires on the same stop and ended up losing a lap The race finally decided to go get up to as high as 13th and then faded caught caution but kept getting involved in incident and got DQd on the final restart for too many incidents while running ninth.  P17.   12 cautions.
  • David – P technical failure
  • Justin – P Whatever, Some days I don’t even deserve to click that green race button to grid up!
  • Tyler – P disqualified out
  • Kyle P P21 Car was good and strong. Started P5 and on the start 3 cars in front of me were involved in 2 separate wrecks and I got passing on the left on the start and was given a drive through after reaching P2. Stayed in the back most of the first half of the race and then marched up to top 10 and then got tagged from a car out of 4 who bounced off the outside wall and then I was along for the ride and had over 5 minutes of repairs and went down 7 laps and just rode around in the back collecting a P21 and done for the week. Bring on Nashville next week. 
  • Chris W – P 9. Road around in the back to be safe….. Aaaaand ended up with 22x. Car was wrecked on 100 lap tires and I spun causing a caution. Got the wave around, another caution gave me tires for a GWC. Went from 23rd to 9th. The worst feeling P9. After my spin all my teammates had horrible luck.

Thursday Open – New Hampshire 

  • Mike- P 19 top split what a mass 17 cautions. I had a good top 15 going but got door, slammed near the end and fell to the back.
  • Justin – P wrecked out rage quit
  • Bobby –final green, white, checker started second but wrecked out wrecked out

Official Series

6hrs at the Glen

  • Tom, David, McKee and Granspeed– P7.  I ran the 1st and 4th stint.  On the first stint started in 5th, had to avoid a turn 1 wreck on lap 2, took the runoff and stopped to escape.  Put me in last.  Drove back to 7th.  Got the car back in 3rd, drove up to 2nd.  Then during the rain out late drivers ran into torpedoes.
  • Justin- I partnered with Brad. He deserved a better teammate. There’s a lot of things I need to learn about this road racing stuff “being consistent” Brad had race winning speed. His first stint he put on a clinic on, 20 something to 8th. Its going to be a different Story next year on these enduro’s i’m going to figure it out. We are going to get that trophy someday!
  • Brad – What a fun time Justin and I had. Regardless of the outcome it is just enjoyable to team race. We had a great start and were doing well till the rain came. Justin pitted early for wets and I took over. We were making good time but it just continued to get heavier and heavier. The bus stop was a lake and I ended up looping it and stuffed it in the tires. We did get the damage fixed and Justin finished the race and came home in 28th. 

FIA F4 

  • Ellis – Road America. Started P2. Winner winner, chicken dinner.! 99th career win
    • Started fifth got wrecked on one and a three wide incident finished P 14
    • Qualified second- finished p1 – career win number 100!!! 
    • Qualified fifth at mid Ohio. Got wrecked in lap one had to pit for a quick repair, fell to dead last 18th and then gradually worked my way up to tonight if I had another lab or two, I could probably get to six but p nine.
    • Qualified eight out of 25  

IMSA

  • Hall – P 1, at the glen after twice being wrecked out by LMP2’s failing to pay attention on a straight away. 
  • Brad – P3 (The Glen, GTD) Started 6th in class and ran a consistent and clean race. The entire session was dry and I was able to capitalize on some others misfortunes. GTP doing GTP things but I was intentional when allowing them to pass.

GT Sprint Simucube Series

  • Brad – P11 (Barcelona) Started p16 and grabbed some spots early on and was in top 10. Ended up with a lazy spin as I continue to learn the new Corvette. Was able to recover but fell just a spot short to get back into the top 10. This series is extremely competitive and the races have been good.
