Lando Norris On The Necessity Of Simulators

@outdrivegp

“If you want to reach the top level of motorsport, this is the thing to get.” Think talent alone will get you there? It’s not enough. Lando Norris has been using simulators since he was six years old—not just for fun, but to train, sharpen his skills, and stay ahead when he wasn’t in a real car. And it’s paying off. One of the favorites for the 2025 season
Winner of the rain-soaked Australian Grand Prix last weekend “It’s not just about an investment on the track—it’s about the investment away from it.” Simulators are shaping the next generation of drivers. OutDrive GP is building the league where they prove themselves. The shift is already happening—who’s ready to take the next step? NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – Homestead

  • Mike- P19- the first run. I wasn’t too bad. I came up through there, but got involved in a wreck not much damage. It was never the same after that once I lost track position. I pretty much ran in the back. I was lucky to get P 19.
  • David – P wrecked late by bone head moves on a restart
  • tony -DNF same ole song and dance, wrong place wrong time early on wrecking in front of me and couldnt avoid it.
  • Brad- P6 after Starting p7. I had really good long run speed but the race did not fall the way it needed to. Another yellow during green flag stops would throw the long run out the window again. Faded at the end to finish p6. Shout out to Drew Blaze for the clean run to the checkered fighting for 5th.
  • Kyle – P 18 started P9 Just didn’t have the car I needed to be strong. Running in these higher splits is teaching a whole new race craft that I am trying to adjust.

Sunday Open- NiS – Homestead

  • David – P 8 faded bad on a long run from the lead
  • Tony – P7 had a decent clean race the i could run about anywhere and was actually passing cars middle and end of long runs.
  • Greg -P3 – Lucked into setup coming in at the end
  • Kyle – P19 started p-19 Car felt tight all race. Couldn’t get it to turn. Was able to drive up to 6th for a portion of the race but tires faded and newer tire cars charged up and I had to just ride it out until the next caution. Tried to use strategy and save my last set of tires to the end. 13 to go I take my last set and hope it is enough for a strong finish. Greg and Tyler pitted the caution before and took the track position and I just didn’t have enough laps to work my way back up to them finishing P-19 after 3 Homestead starts this week and finishing on the lead lap in all of them. I must say I am proud of myself.

Sunday Fixed- NiS – Homestead

  • Mike- P19-started 23rd worked my way up to run as high as P5 but had a few incidents that put me back and this was not able to move up after that ended up getting wrecked near the end

Wednesday Open -NiS – Martinsville

  • Mike- P9- ran as high as P4 until somebody sideswiped me and sent me to the back got involved in an incident where David got taken out, but I was able to continue on and finish P9!
  • David – P wrecked out late
  • Chris – P 5 We tried a strategy to keep the Sim Wraps Red Waldron’s Furniture Chevrolet up front. I was running 10th when I picked up 8x in incident points, so I dropped to the back to avoid further issues. Took fresh tires at halfway and worked my way back into the top 10. A few check-ups later, I had to serve a pass-through penalty. But luck was on my side when I got the Lucky Dog with 15 laps to go. From there, the Premier Set-up Shops car really came to life, and I powered my way up to 5th, just behind my iRacers Lounge teammate, Justin Pearson. We rubbing doors on the cool down lap as we both celebrated our finish and Brad Wrenn’s win! Big congrats to Brad Wrenn for his win in his split
  • Brad- P1 WINNER!Started p4 and stayed in the top 5-ish the whole night. The cautions were horrible but once out front I was able to control the restarts and led the most laps. First NiS win since 2016. Really have to give a huge shout out to the guys on this team. All of you are great encouragers and that really helps when we have races that don’t go the way we wanted. The setups this week from Premier Racing are on fire. Would have loved for this thing to have had a long run because I really think I had the field covered.

Thursday Open- NiS – Martinsville

  • Mike- P5!- started in the back ran around 5th to 10th. Most of the race was involved in several different incidents with about two minutes damage never got it fixed lost a lap at one point and got a lucky dog, but got to clean towards the end and finished in a nice respectful P5

Official Series

FIA F4 Americas

  • Kyle – P11 started P12 spun on lap 1 and just spent the race trying to catch up.

A Open

  • Brad W – P12 (Martinsville) Started 6 and stayed in top 6-8 positions till final restart. Never pitted since we had 13 cautions. Green-white-checkerd had me in p3 heading into T3 to take the white only to get driven through from the car in p5! Really stupid race that was completely the fault of a handful of drivers. I can attest, races don’t get any better the higher the iRating.

IMSA

  • Hall – P3 at a Sebring
  • Brad W – P10 Sebring – finished where I deserved.
  • William W- P5. Tossed away a podium with 2 mistakes. Auto fuel was not on, and spun the car in turn 4.

Sebring 12 Hours

  • William W, Brad W and Jacob J. – P5 Really had a very clean race for iRacing specials. William started the car and did a great job for the first three hours. I jumped in and with about 8 laps to go lost connection to the server. Jacob jumped in and from there one we were fighting to regain lost time due to the disconnect tow. A big shout out to William and Jacob fr having more speed than me which helped to get us back in contention for top 5. Being off cycle actually played to our advantage towards the end but had that not happened, I’m confident we would have podiumed the event.
  • Tom, Kyle, David – wrecked.  We’re running good, then has a severe mishap in sunset.  Started the race behind the whole field cause two GTP’s wrecked before even getting to turn 1.

Indycar iRacing Series

  • Tom D – (Saturday 1st race) – P8 ran up and down all race.  Got contact 3 different times and had to replace my wing 3 times.  Was able to work myself back.

ARCA

  • Kyle – P P10 started P18 save save save that is the strategy for the arca cars at Charlotte.

League / Hosted Races

Grass Roots Racing GTP/GT3 League

  • William W –  P2. Fast car but qualified 5th. Start on the outside so lost 5th in turn 1. Spent the rest of the race trying to get forward. Would have been 3rd but P2 had an unfortunate tangle with a lapped car.

Hosted-

  • Ellis – BMW M2 at Summit point started dead last drove up to P6
    • Draft masters GEN seven at Talladega got wrecked out right away and finished near the back

2025 Season 2 Patch 1

https://forums.iracing.com/discussion/76457/2025-season-2-patch-1-release-notes-2024-03-16-01

What Does Dirt Need?

What are the 5 BIGGEST things iRacing needs to add to make dirt racing undeniable on their platform? With the 2025 Season 2 build dropping and little dirt updates, it’s time to talk about what’s missing and how iRacing can take dirt racing to the next level.

In this video, we’ll cover:

✅ The cushion model and why it needs an overhaul

✅ Why we need updated dirt cars (Longhorn, Rocket, Maxim, etc.)

✅ How better hosted session options could change league racing

✅ The water truck feature that could make track conditions more dynamic

✅ Dirty air, and how adding it would transform racing on the sim.

Dirt racing in iRacing has huge potential, but these five changes would make it unstoppable! If you agree (or disagree), drop a comment with what you’d like to see changed!

We Finally Get To Spend Mike’s Money

I love this quote. This is basically talking about me, “… Budget pedals will let you sim race totally fine but if you’re an idiot like me and you like fancy simming equipment you like features you like messing around with stuff you like having more information from the SIM you’ve wasted your life SIM racing too much. This sort of stuff is absolutely fantastic. Absolutely Fantastic absolutely amazing ….”

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – Las Vegas

  • Mike- P26- start a 24th worked my way up to around fifth was good to go but towards the end of the race so I hit the wall too many times the last run faded hard all the way back
  • Chris- P 6. The Red Waldron’s Furniture iRacers Lounge Chevy Camaro proved its resilience today. Despite battling PC issues that left us starting from 32nd, we refused to back down. The car struggled to find its rhythm early on, but with determination and hard work from the Premier Set-ups crew, we made key adjustments. As a result, we climbed steadily through the field and crossed the finish line in 6th after a thrilling green-white-checkered finish. A huge shoutout to Sim Wraps for getting that striking red vinyl wrap back on the car – it was definitely a factor in helping us secure this strong finish! We also hit a career record 3584iR after this race.
  • David – P12 was first caution, a car forced a 4 wide, I should have crowded him more, but had no way to know there the was also 2 cars high, it just said 3 wide, instead came up just enough to get right hooked (not intentionally by him or me)  Only 13 seconds of damage, next run was frustrating but I think i just burned my stuff up working way back up.  Late caution with 25 I had worked my way up to 15th, loosened the car up, and was able to run hard for 12th at the end.
  • Justin – P4. The ol Red, White & Blue Iracers Lounge Podcast Chevy Camaro had good top 5 speed. I wore this ol girl out. I got my money’s worth out of her tonight. It was a dog fight out there. I had a problem passing guys just couldn’t complete passes as soon as they got on your right rear they would drag you back. The last 10 laps i took right front damage. Very lucky to come out p4. All in all a good night of racing with the boys
  • tony -P22 had a fast car again but dumbass mistake of over cooking my pit entry on a green flag stop and having a caution fly while on pit road just couldnt make my lap back up
  • Brad- P14 after starting p20. Had a really good long run car but the race did not play out that way. Made a few adjustments for the long run but a late yellow and a short run that I did not make the correct adjustments cost me a top 5. Great sets all week from Premiere Racing Setups but the driver messed this one up.

Saturday Fixed- NiS – Las Vegas

  • Tom D – P5 – Ran up front most the race with pit stops.  Got front end damage and just beast able to get to the top spot.  Happy to run upfront.

Sunday Open- NiS – Las Vegas

  • David – P14, not a NIS week unless i get caught is someones mess.  Wreck in front.  Everyone piles in and hoooks me when I checked up.  Got back to 12th the a car drives down the left side of pit lane and gets beside me hitting me when I turn to pit.  P14.  SO, according to some genius among the iRacing stewards, it is okay to drive on the inside line of pit lane the whole time.  So from now on I’m driving down the inside lane whe n piting.
  • Tony – P9 after what was a fever dream race . All i remember is being doored, wrecked and ass ramming a wrecked car on the front stretch and being at 16x for last 100 laps.

Sunday Fixed- NiS – Las Vegas

  • Mike- Pdnf. Got totally destroyed early in the race in the first caution. Some guy goes under me taking us three wide. He can’t hold his lane and wipe us out.

Wednesday Open -NiS – Homestead

  • Mike- P16- got involved in the First caution lost some track position never really made it up ran 20th to 25th most of the race gotten another wreck where I had a little bit of damage I got that fixed but with some late carnage I was able to get my way up into the top 20 to finish P 16
  • David – P DNF, got loose, got stuck back with the idiots, got turned, then a car running in the back arca brakes and torpedoes me.
  • Kyle – P24 Had a good car. Started 20th and stayed in the top 15. Sniffed the top 10 for a few laps but then faded back and kept it clean. Coming to the last restart and a driver decided to retaliate and spin another driver which then got the restart all tangled up and I received a passing under yellow which then gave me a black flag I had to serve and was able to stay on the lead lap but just didn’t have enough laps to gain anymore spots. Protest was filed and handled. Shout out to Lawrence and his team at Sim Coaches for fixing my gas pedal and making it good as new.
  • Chris – P21 Miami still has me scratching my head, trying to figure it out like Sunny Crockett in Miami Vice. The white Waldron’s Furniture Chevy just couldn’t find its rhythm, struggling to move forward all race. While the primer setup worked well for us in Turns 1 and 2, driver error slowed us down in Turns 3 and 4. We spent most of the race hovering in the 20s, but at least we stayed trouble-free. It was great to have my iRacers Lounge teammate, Justin “Tubbs” Pearson, in the race with me—it made the experience a little more enjoyable
  • Brad- P6 after having a fantastic run. The car was so good on the long run. Was abe to drive up to p2 but just toward the tail end of the run I was too tight. Just drove it too hard at the beginning. Looked like it was going to be a green flag stop to the end but a yellow mid pit cycle trapped me a lap down. Took the wave around but restarted from p17. Had to drive really hard to gain spots and that was enough to use up the tires and was passed for p5 on the last lap. A shout out to Drew Breeze for the clean racing and great battle for two laps. Another really good set this week from Premier Racing Setups. Oh and the winner who led 131 od 134 laps…was on Premier Racing Setup as well.
  • Tom – P19 –  one of the worst races I have personally done.   I got red mist after slightly getting into another driver and as I came up to save my car it looked like I blocked him.  Some words were said to me and I crashed us both.  I am very disappointed in myself.  I did not get on the radio or chat because I didn’t want to get a ban.  My car was torn up and I could only get to that position.  Again, I am deeply disappointed in myself.  I am sorry for everyone involved in that if anyone is listening who was in that split, I am sorry

Thursday Open- NiS – Homestead

  • Mike- P12- ran usually between 10th to 20th. Most of the race pretty much stayed out of trouble. The last restart I was 19th got my way up to finish P 12.
  • David – P10.  Had a top 5 car.  On last run a car dive bombs me and fails to make the apex and stays up in lane three crowding me out can forcing me into the wall.  Say he doesn’t have to go to the bottom if he dive bombs, I disagree, and will treat him with the respect he deserves.

Official Series

A Open

  • Brad W – P20 after starting p4. This was just a really strange race. The car was super quick in practice but when the race started I was wrecking loose in turns 3 and 4. The weather was much different than NiS but I was really surprised how much different the car was. I threw air pressure and spring adjustment a it but could never get it comfortable. Fell like a rock and was actually lucky to finish p20.

League / Hosted Races

Grass Roots Racing GTP/GT3 League

  • William W –  P11. Was cruising in 3rd about halfway through the race when my screen froze for about 5 seconds. Was in the wall when it came back. Was able to limp back to the pits and gain a few spots before the end of the race.

Majors Series

  • Brad W – P21. Started p37 in 1st split. Kept the car clean and had no major issues. Ended up making contact try to pass a car and that resulted in a 10 second post race penatly. Finishing p21 with the stout fied is ok, I guess.
  • David – Road America – p11.   Started in 28th or so.  Ran clean, stayed out of trouble had good long run speed and consistency.  A few small mistakes probably cost my chance at the top 10, including forgetting to turn my lights on and having the tracking warning pop up in the middle of the screen.  Had to hit my button thats on the rig but gave away some time.
  • Tom D – (Race 1 – Bathurst 2 Hours) – Started 42nd in top split of the International Region.  Not my best combination.  Just worked steady and finished 28th without any major issues.             (Race 2 – Spa 2 Hours) – Started 34th in top split of the European Region.  A big crash at Radion hurt a few cars and had to use their fast repair.  I was able to pick a few spots and hold on to them.  Finished 19th.   I’ll take it for a GT3 race.        (Race 3 – Road America 2 hours) – started 20th in 2nd split of the Americas Region.  After a few laps I felt more comfortable than in the other races.  I lost it in the kink and destroyed my car. Had to pit, came back out in 33rd.   Had a fast car in the split, worked my way all the way back to 15th.  Probably could have had a top 5 without my mistake.  Looking forward to the next Majors race on April 5th & 6th.  Coke 600 with the Gen 4 cup cars.

Hosted-

  • Ellis – GEN five at Talladega wrecked out
    • BMW’s at Nortslife in the rain finished P2 after towing
    • Second attempt, it was raining harder and wrecked right away and turned two
    • 13th week funny forecast at the Nurburgring North life in the BMW M2. Winner winner chicken dinner had a great class win and finished third overall kept it on the track pretty much the whole time heavy heavy rain super proud of this one.
    • Try it again the next day wrecked out right at the beginning
    • Then ran Matt Malone’s MX 5 cup at Oki Yama qualified 13th at a 19th
    • BMW’s at osher Slaven. Qualified fifth finish fourth.
    • FIAF4 @Sebring had a pretty good run going up to seventh but then wrecked out with two to go racing with a guy

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – Phoenix

  • Tony -P14 19 cautions. Stayed clean ans in top 10 til about 2 laps to go and was taken out by a guy that couldnt hold it in T2
  • Brad- P wrecked again. Started p7 and was in top 10 most of the race. Only to get wiped out by someone bouncing off the wall on exit of T2. No sorry, no my bad, no nothing. Spent the rest of the race trying to get damage fixed only to get a passing under yellow because people can’t catch up after coming out of the pits. Glad next week is Vegas.
  • John – P23. 18 Cautions for 54 laps. Need I say more? The guy driving the 3 car caused 7 of them. Of course, he finished in the top 10 on the lead lap.  He wrecked me 3 times, the first time being on lap 1. He was a menace. I never could get the car completely fixed so it drove awful. Also, it seemed the pits during yellow flags was messed up – they would open and close at odd spots. For example, if I was a lap down it would say the pits were open for me at the same time as the lead lap cars. But when I went in I got a black flag. Anyway, I’m glad there is no more Phoenix for a while.  Nothing wrong with the track; I just can’t drive it well.

Sunday Open- NiS – Phoenix

  • David – P7  Got wrecked with about 30 to go, car on fresher tires still used his stuff up and bounced off the wall when i got back beside him.  But recovered as the damage wasn’t severe.  Was about a 4-7th place car.
  • Tony – P20 Got to race with Donnie and 1st part was ok but 2nd half of the race was a shit show. Was wrecked by a lapper with 5 to go. Sums up my iracing career. Wrong place, wrong time.
  • Tyler – P7 wreck fest. 8x all from other drivers. Not my favorite track but i’ll take the top 10.

Sunday Fixed- NiS – Phoenix

  • Mike- P DNF started near the back got my way up to the front let some laps for a while had a slip fell back to fifth and then the guy in third basically wrecked and I couldn’t miss it and too much damage were done dnf
  • Justin – Well lets just say The Iracers Lounge Chevy had one hell of week it was a roller coaster, 1st race, my buddy BW turned broad side in front of me in the dogleg meatballed, 2nd attempt was leading coming up to the G/W/C dropped the hammer just a little early Got Blacked for jumping the start. 3rd attempt halfway through the race i was leading came into the pits got caught speeding put me in the back with the squirrels didn’t end well But, now let’s talk about this 4th attempt Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, I dominated this thing. This was way easier than the other races because i didn’t do anything to self sabotage my race i just hit my marks and stayed up front led 105 laps out of 156.Most important thing 0x Baby! Big thanks to My Boiii BoBBie, the best spotter in the business couldn’t have done it without him.

Wednesday Open -NiS – Las Vegas

  • Mike- P5- I was trying to make the discord overlay work as I was getting on the grid huge mistake. It went completely gray screened across all my triples. I couldn’t see anything I couldn’t close Discord and so I did a task manager and did in task we start rolling off pit Road. I decide to try it one more time for whatever reason and the same thing happens. I end up having to stop the car and tow it so now I’ve missed the start. I’m sitting on Pitt Road as it goes green. It gives me four tires and then lets me off pit Road so I go for a little bit and there’s a caution and I decide to pit to look for damage cause I hit the wall, but I couldn’t see the track well as I was approaching my pit stall I went to uncheck the tires and I uncheck them and I see them unchecked and I put and they give me right side tires so now I’ve taken six tires within eight laps while the rest of the field has taken none. I hang in there persevere and end up recovering by doing a double stent on the tires end up in the top 10 near the end of the race worked my way up to finish P5.
  • David – P8.  FIX the Frackin Marshal.  Caution in the middle of green flag stops, lucky dog in 9th place was about to unlap myself.  Take lucky luck, a bunch take a wave by and because iRacing continues to let cars that come out of the pits in front of cars on the track, someone had to delay the green.  I then still get stuck with my EOL and forced back to 22nd  drove back up the field like a mad man though.  Very aggressive with the fresh tires against all the waveby’s.
  • Tony – P15 had a fast car  but couldn’t keep tires on it. Made mistake of not pitting with 30 to go
  • Chris – P 21 Sim Wraps gave us a WHITE Waldron’s Furniture Chevrolet Camaro that was a rocket with that Premier Setup under the hood. We were comfortably in the Top 10 until about 50 laps to go when we got door-slammed. The damage took us about 3 minutes to fix, but we were back on track with fresh tires and 20 laps to go. Unfortunately, we got caught up in a wreck going into Turn 1. Stayed out, only to be collected again. Despite the setbacks, we limped it home in P21. We’ll be back at it on Friday in our normal bright red, thanks to Sim Wraps!
  • Brad- P7 after starting p17. What a rocket the PRS set was this week. The car was consistently fast and really good on the long run. Drove up to the top 10 and eventually to the lead for 29 laps. A caution during green flag stops would ruin the strategy that was playing out. Had to take a wave around to get back on the lead lap and was able to drive back to p7 over the last two restarts. The car was fast and I can’t wait to give it another shot Friday night.
  • Donnie – P18.  Thought I was underpowered all night, only to learn I was dragging my brake due to user error in the calibration process.  2025 is looking great!
  • Bobby – P11 One of the fastest cars after 20+ laps, running 2nd when the guy pushed me out of 4 into fence, fell to like 17th, drove back to 11th
  • Tyler – P7. Started 33rd and layed low. Saved tires every chance I could.Stayed clear from the chaos and managed my race. Fresh tires with 60 laps to go and no cautions. Saved enough to race all the way up into the top 10. Felt really good to have a fast pace and manage my equipment.

Thursday Open- NiS – Las Vegas

  • Mike- P DNF. Start a 22nd work my way up to 11th then got involved in a big wreck. I couldn’t avoid was seven minutes of damage then just kept riding along trying to recover anything I could and the computer power just turned off didn’t restart just off.
  • David – P10  Was running a good p6 on a long run with a green flag stop, VR blacks out.  Turn left slam on brakes, VR comes back on I’m sitting on the apron on the front stretch.  Nota complete loss but still a bummer.

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – COTA

  • Chris – P 16. I finished… that’s an accomplishment

Wednesday Open -NiS – Phoenix

  • Mike- P9- lots and lots of cautions I kept it clean but a little past halfway I got wrecked out a couple different times with a little over six minute damage was able to keep it on track and somehow bring it home to finish P9
  • David – P5 stayed safe
  • Justin – P wrecked out
  • Chris – P 16. The bright red Waldron’s Furniture team fought hard through an action-packed race today. Starting with a challenging 16x 50 laps in, we found ourselves playing catch-up right from the start. But our team’s perseverance showed through. Despite multiple repairs and constant adversity, we stayed sharp and safe as the race wound down. In the end, we brought the iRacers Lounge, Primer Setups, Sim Wraps Chevy Camaro home in 16th place, managing to finish just outside the top 15. Considering the circumstances, it was a solid effort, we’re proud of how we pushed through.
  • Brad- P 27 – Self-inflicted. Started p2 and dropped back to avoid some very aggressive driving at the start. Made it to about half way and on restart cut the dog leg only for the car to bottom out and spin. Was completely caught off guard as it had never happened in practice or the race the previous day. Worst part was I took out teammate Justin Pearson. Had almost 7 minutes of damage to get fixed. At that point came out to ride it out for SR. Was going to finish p25 but was collected by two spinners on a late restart through the dog leg. I run really well here but can’t ever finish a race.
  • Bobby – Decent, trying to click off laps, tons of yellows. Got shoved into wall by driver cutting dogleg and    shoving up into me, lots of damaged, ended up extremely tight, hitting wall again, killing car.

Thursday Open- NiS – Phoenix

  • David – P21  its not a NiS week if I don’t have somebody spin in front of me.   Had to fix the damage even though it wasn’t drivable.  After words we finished with a long run. I ran all the way to behind 4th place, but 8 laps down.
  • Bobby – Well, for the 25 feet we made it passed the line on the green car was very solid and quick. Driver who started on the high side, laid back, got a jump and right passed the line turn down trying to cut dogleg and hooked us dead into the wall. Car was done at that point. I get there is no track limits there, but a solid object like a CAR, should be avoided at all cost.

Official Series

M2

  • Ellis – P11 Summit point. Wasn’t fast finished ninth out of 11.

A Open

  • Brad W – P23 Started p7 and was in top 10 for the first half of the race. As usual, I get caught up in other people’s mess. Two spun in front of me getting into T1. Could not avoid and ended up with “Too much damage to fix” While the two that caused the wreck go on to finish p9 and p12. SMH

IMSA

  • William W- P17 – Spa – Embarrassing. Got dumped lap one before even the start finish line. Guy took it 4 wide then wrote me a book how it was my fault. Then coming up through the field I murdered a GTP. Just a mistake I haven’t made in ages. Was paying attention to the car to my right and missed my breaking point. 8 min repairs, just called it a day.

League / Hosted Races

Majors Endurance Championship

  • Greg, Tom and David –  P13  Ended up with early trouble from a GT3 who shot up high in parabolica blocking our outside pass.  Hung in there and worked back up through some attrition, to have a decent finish.  They learned a lot on the live caution officiating side and that aspect was way smoother.
  • Brad and Justin – P11 (GT3 Monza) Started on pole but lost it coming out of Lesmo 2 on cold tires. Started fighting back through the field only to get caught up in an accident going through Ascari. Had a meatball and forgot that we had a fast repair, so sat and had it fixed. It was a fight for all 4 hours but kudos to Justin for doing  the middle stents and got us up to 14th from 18th. Played some pit strategy to gain a few spots as we finished the race.

Grass Roots Racing GTP/GT3 League

  • William W –  P4. Week 10 at Montreal. Thought this track would be bad for multiclass but it was actually great. Probably could have had 3 but was over driving the car in a couple corners. Straightened that out but it was too late, still solid result.

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – Charlotte ROVAL

  • Mike – P computer issues

Wednesday Open – Las Vegas

  • Mike- P wrecked out. Had a good first run that came from 22nd up to fourth then we had a green flag run. The caution came out while I was on pit Road and ended up taking a wave around. I was 22nd and got myself up to around 15th and then got involved in an incident where a guy got loose and I got ran over and the car was undrivable from that point DNF.
  • Tom P12.
  • Brad W – P29. Started 10th and ran way too hard the first run. Made a change to the car and ran too hard the second run. Went to make a green flag pit stop and yellow came out while coming to pit road. Speeding on entering and was trapped a lap down. Played the strategy to get back on the lead lap but the last restart was on old tires. Ended up getting turned coming to the checkers. Self-inflicted issues all the race.
  • Chris W – P12. Got stitches on my hand but raced Davey Allison style. Stayed out during green flag stops and got a caution. After getting fresh rubber we had a nice long run to end the race and drove up to P12. Set the fastest time in the race and NEW iR personal record 3522.

Thursday Open – Las Vegas

  • Mike- P9- ran back half of the top 10 as high as P2 at one point, some guy tagged me and I fell back and had damage and from there fell back to P 22 on a longer run, but finally caught a caution with three to go, and with the subsequent cautions was able to work my way back up to finish a respectable P9 with a heavily damaged car

Official Series

FIA F4

  • Ellis– P5 started at 11th got up to P6 by the end of lap one was able to not get wrecked and keep it clean from there and finish P5 Watkins Glen
    • First race at Montreal and it’s raining started 11th got to finish P8
    • Second race started P2 quickly took the lead and then swap the lead with two other cars back-and-forth throughout most of the race eventually reclaim the lead and was able to pull away. Bit by Bit eventually winning the race with about a seven second gap to second place.  My 103rd career win 106 championship points.
    • Third attempt qualified, fourth got the second spun off on my own at least once but finished P3 finally learning I need to drive off-line in the rain
    • Fourth attempt started P3 got to pee too and on the first lap about halfway through got ran over from behind from a guy who completely missed the chicane I went in and got the fast repair came out 15th worked my way back up to finish P4. Heck of a drive in the rain.

B Open

  • Brad W – P18. (Las Vegas) Decided to give the B car another go. Really enjoy the car but you have to drive these. Top split and out classed. Dropping iR but having a good time.

League / Hosted Races

Hosted-

  • Ellis- winner winner, chicken dinner posted Chris McGuire, one in the supercar at Michigan
  • P8 1987 at Talladega started 44th out of a 55 car field
  • Radicals at Phoenix finish P5
  • Delaura Dash at Michigan ran it twice and got wrecked out twice

  • Justin-  Pitted w 2 to go and no one else pitted – p23
  • Brad – P25 Started p2 car got loose cutting dog leg on lap 2. Fell back to mid pack only to get wrecked. Lost 7 laps getting damage fixed. Stayed till the end because it was the last race. Fellowship on Discord was much better than the racing.
  • Chris W – P18

Sunday Fixed – Phoenix

  • Mike- Pdnf. Was running second with about nine to go on a restart and got taken out from behind DNF.

Official Series

Wednesday Open – Winter NiS – Daytona

  • Mike- P was the first caution they stacked up a little I got ran over from behind 11 minutes. Damage continued on for a bit ended up getting into another wreck that blew the engine.  Dnf.
  • Justin – P wrecked out
  • Tyler – P wrecked out

FIA F4

  • Ellis– P10– started at ninth got my way up to fourth. I see a guy coming. He was super fast. I let him go and fall the fifth shortly after he goes over the curbs turns his car sideways and I T-bone him. I have to pit for repair. I come back out 12th and drive it back up to finish P 10.
    • Top split started 16th got to the ninth after lap one held it until the end when a guy tried to pass me on the second to last corner and basically drove me off. The track ended up P 15.
    • Third attempt car number one had a bad qualifying start at 18th got to the highest 10th but then got racing a guy and got ran off the road go back to 18th and then recovered back up to finish P 13th
    • Onto the next week at Detroit Belle Isle. First attempt ended up, wrecked out, not a fan of this track. There’s no runoff anywhere.
    • Second attempt qualified, fifth top split and finished P5 great race 95 points
    • Qualified 13th drove it up to P5 and it ended up finishing P6 with 98 points.
    • Qualified eight out of 16 drove it up to P5 ended up spinning and finishing P6. 85 points.

B Open

  • Brad W – P20 (Dover) Started p10 gave up a few spots on start to try and settle in for a longer run and save tires. Accident happened ahead of me, almost had it cleared but got clipped in LF and broke the wheel. 10 minutes of damage was not worth hanging around for. Love the car just not enjoying the racing.

Draft Master

  • John P4. Missed the big early wreck. The top 4 finished with a huge breakaway.

IMSA

  • Brad – P2 (GTD-Suzuka) Started on slicks as the track was moderately wet (50%). Was able to avoid some first lap mayhem and drove to the leader from 12 seconds back, he was on wets and pitted. I thought for sure that I had this one won. Made my stop and he came out about 2.5 seconds behind me and had more pace than I did.

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open –  Las Vegas

  • Mike – P 5- came from the back a couple times and had a green flag stop that went really well pitted from fourth came out fourth after it cycled and ended up finishing fifth hoping for a late caution, but didn’t get one to try to race for the win. Also had the fastest lap of the race.
  • Tyler -P 12
  • Tony -P wrecked out not even-20 laps in and wrecking in front of me had it just about clear and wrecked car went left into my car ending my night
  • Tom- P27
  • Brad – P7 Started p3 and was around the front most of the race. Led 21 laps but the car fell off on the long run. Did not have the short run speed but glad to grab a top 10.

Sunday Open –  Las Vegas

  • Tony – P 24 self spun and got clipped about 5 seconds after the yellow came out got stuck a lap down. My irating is now lowest it’s been in a few years 1700 :/
  • GregP pit crew would not service the car

Sunday Fixed –  Las Vegas

  • Mike- P22– was running top 10 or so as high as second on the longer run. I got loose, went through the grass, came back to 15th and decided to short pit on a green flag run. It didn’t work out. Some of those people were able to save up to four laps of fuel I finished a lap down

Wednesday Open – Homestead

  • Mike- P 22– ran the tires off. The first run went from 202nd to 11th and faded back to 22nd. Then we had a long green flag run. Having to save fuel the whole run peddling the whole way finished P 22.
  • Tom P2.
  • Brad W – P WRECKED – Never made a lap.
  • Chris W – P 34. Got wrecked early when a car ahead got loose. I thought they saved it and I passed high… only they didn’t save it and put me in the wall. 5 min of repairs and limped around 13 laps down.

Thursday Open – Homestead

  • Mike- P13- did a little bit better than last night on saving tires. There was no fuel strategy involved. We had a late caution after running 15th near the end on that restart. I actually spun out on my own, put me back to the end on the next restart I was able to drive up through there to get to 13th. I’ll take it, not a fan of this track.

Official Series

FIA F4

  • Ellis– P Canadian tire motorsport. First attempt was running P5 and spun the car on my own finished P 13.
    • Second attempt qualified second  quickly, took the lead, but wandered it by spinning on my own to dead last drove myself back up to P7, but ran out of incident points on the White and D Q out
    • Started sixth made a move on a guy on lap one got side-by-side he ran to the grass took me out. I had to tow came back out 22nd worked my way back up to finish P 14.
    • Fourth attempt qualified ninth got past last one tried to make a move on P8 and he ran me wide and we both wrecked DNF

IMSA

  • Brad – P7(GTD-Road Atlanta) I finished about where I should have. I love this track but I am extremely inconsistent in my lap times. Not sure why but have always struggled here.

League / Hosted Races

Hosted-

  • Ellis – Pickup cup -p3
  • Hosted jet car at Indy finish P4

I had to take a wave around I was 30th somehow after that I was able to cycle back up to around seventh was running seventh on a restart with five to go and got a guy dived down to the inside. I gave him room and he still door me to the wall and I fell back to finish P 17.
  • Brad – P19 Better than the prior race but was on the wrong pit strategy and got shuffled towards the end.
  • Chris W – P 14. Tough track. Race was caution free for the first half. Second half the yellow came out frequently. Was involved in a spin with less than 30 to go. After a quick minor repair and tires I was able to go from 28th to 14th.

Sunday Open –  Homestead

  • Tony – P2 only had 2 cautions and speed on long runs. Ran green last 70ish laps with Green Flag stops. Pitted 6th but cycled to 2nd with 12 to go and just couldn’t gain anything on leader who kept his 6 second gap til the end. Feels good to have a good finish for the first time in forever.

Wednesday Open – Martinsville

  • Mike- P2 – riding around with 22 incidents none of which were mine. I was able to keep it clean and brought it home right behind my teammate Tom, who took the win very happy with this result.
  • Tom P1 WINNER
  • Brad W – P Quit before I was DQ’d. Horrible race.
  • Tony P16- was dq’ed out after catching just about every single 37 cautions. Thats 177 laps under caution we averaged 2.2 laps of green flag racing. What in the absolute cluster. Not just my split but every split had at least 20 cautions. Its not hard to drive this track
  • Chris W – P 18. Not sure what I can say. Stayed safe most the race. Car felt fast. Then at the end I was involved in everything. P18 after getting pass through on GWC.

Thursday Open – Martinsville

  • Mike- P car 27 in top split out of 32. Finish P 14.

Friday Open –  Martinsville

  • Brad – P2 Someone must have been DQ’d because I finished p3. Martinsville did not disappoint as we only had 101 green flag laps.

Wednesday Open – Phoenix

  • Brad W – P35. Caused the first caution by hitting the car ahead of me on lap 1. Ended getting hit by about 5 cars afterward. Gor damage fixed enough to turn enough laps not to finish last. Bone head move on my part.
  • Tony P9 13 cautions couldn’t get anything longer than 5 laps ¾ of the race. Got some wheel damage when making my way past a wrecked car under caution and some asshole arca brakes that wrecked car and gets us both. Did have like a 20 lap run at the end where the damage Made me tight. I hate that stupid ass apron/dog leg hope it dies

Official Series

FIA F4

  • Ellis– P11 out of 14 at Barber motorsports Park qualified 10 got ran over from behind big-time with a meatball came out dead. Last worked my way back up to finish P 11.
    • Second temp qualified fifth got side-by-side with a guy on lap two he didn’t realize I was there and ran us to the wall. Had to tow finished P 17.
    • Third attempt qualified fast with running third finally it was working out, but then I spun off the track onto my own into the wall. Had to get repaired came from dead last all the way back up to finish seventh this is my best run of so far.
    • Fourth attempt finished P8 with 69 points after getting ran over from behind on lap four.

B Open

  • Brad W – P19 (Phoenix) after starting p10. Had a guy run me into the wall on lap 4. Fought back for the next 50 laps to get damage fixed and get back on the lead lap. Drove back up to p12 only to get destroyed from a blocked track on GWC.

IMSA

  • Brad – P3 (GTD Interlagos) Had a very good battle for P2 as the laps were winding down but GTPs that were not in contention to advance their position ruined a great battle.

League / Hosted Races

Hosted-

  • Ellis – pick up cup at old Daytona P2. Almost wanted it down through the grass coming to the checker.
    • Old Indy car at Charlotte finished P4
    • Cara tomorrow at Talladega wrecked out
    • Supercars at Michigan finish P3
    • Trucks at Talladega wrecked out. We had a bizarre flag issue where the flag man put the white out. Then he displayed the checkered for the end of the race, but he withdrew the checker quickly and switched back to White and waited one more lap and then through the checkered for a second time.
    • Street stocks at Talladega wrecked out
    • Cora. Tomorrow at Talladega had a good run but eventually wrecked out.
    • Supercars at Michigan took the pole position. Eventually wrecked out.
    • Dalara IRO one at Indy wrecked out
    • Dalara dash– at Talladega twice wrecked out
    • Pick up cop at old Charlotte wrecked out

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – Winter NiS – Daytona

  • Mike – P wrecked out. Lost it it on my own.
  • Greg – P
  • Kyle- P
  • Bobby- P
  • Tyler -P
  • Tony -P
  • David- P
  • John -P15, I really messed up this race. Got hit by other drivers twice, but I banged the wall twice on my own for no good reason. Required repairs put me 16 laps down. WNIS though is a great series and a great one to run in the off season. But boy oh boy I gotta do better than this.

Sunday fixed – Winter NiS – Daytona

  • Mike- P  15- had a great race going, was leading on the final pitch stop under green, got sideways coming into pit road, nosed it into the wall, then reversed a bit to get turned around and ran into somebody like a fool. Totally embarrassed that I gave up my win and that I backed into somebody and ruined them as well.
  • Justin – P8
  • John – P4. The state of race craft is sad. Started P15. I passed only one car  that was on the lead lap under green flag conditions the whole race but gained 11 spots. It was all due to attrition.  I rode around the back the whole race to avoid the nonsense. It worked.  I’m very happy with a top 5, but it’s kind of sad I got there without ever having to race. In any event, I love the 87. It’s a blast to drive.
  • David – wrecked out, caught in first big one, managed to keep on lead lap through two yellows, everything fixed with 10 to go, started p10, car wouldn’t go into 3rd gear.

Wednesday Open – Winter NiS – Phoenix[Legacy]

  • Mike- P15- ran as high as P7 but spun out on my own coming off for two different times to embarrass myself. Not happy with how I ran.
  • Justin – P 8

Thursday Open – Winter NiS – Phoenix[Legacy]

  • Mike- P 15 another horrible race where I spun out twice on my own I am just a mess out here ended up with a drive-through penalty on the green white checker

Official Series

FIA F4

  • Ellis– P Rd., America in the wet could not qualify without wrecking. Only two people got
    • Laps. I’m gonna be 11th. Got up to as high as fourth but eventually spun off on my own had to pull into the pit for repair came out 10th worked my way back up to finish P7.
    • Qualified 12 and finish P 10 dry race

B Open

  • John – P16. Got taken out early by guys who can’t handle cold tires at Dover and who want to win on lap one. But, this is the state of race craft. Sometimes drivers have to realize it’s okay to give up a spot instead of pushing too hard and wrecking. Oh well, onward I go.

IMSA

  • Brad W – P wrecked (GTD-Road America) Started on pole but gave up lead after 4 laps. Has settled into p3 only to get taken out by a very impatient GTP in the Hurry Down section.
    • P7 after starting p4. Rear ended p3 getting into T2 and the car was a pig the rest of the race because of damage. Tried my best to be competitive but was .7 to a second off of pace from damage.

League / Hosted Races

Hosted-

  • Ellis – old Indy car at new Charlotte with 59 drivers in the grid got myself up to as high as P2 before being wrecked out
    • 87 de Talladega wrecked out

Polar Series – Daytona

  • Mike – P3. We had a great race working together at one point we had four cars make a sudden move from the top to the bottom so we could line up and we basically took control of the race for the first 2/3 of the race we lost the lead somehow on the last stop we got caught up in a pack that was dragging us down, but we eventually caught the leaders, and I was able to find a way to get to the outside behind a guy and I basically pushed him to the wind. I was hoping to get around him, but I lost Justin on the last lap but nonetheless a great finish we dominated the race up until that point and I’m super proud of the showing in a caution free race.
  • Justin – P6
  • Greg – P7
  • Brad W – P15 Thought we played the right strategy but in the end we did not. Was tucked up behind Justin P the whole race until a huge check up caused me to lose the draft and I fell back.
  • Chris – P 22
  • Donnie Spiker – P 23
  • Bobby Jonas – P 24
  • McKenzie Stephens – P 29
  • David Waldron – P 34
  • John Kerley – P 35.Made two rookie mistakes. Speeding in pits on first stop resulted in a 40 second hold. Second pit stop I spun out on the apron in turn 1. Decided to quit on about lap 70. Not a rage quit, but figured there was no reason to keep going and get in other people’s way. Did enjoy running in a four man draft for a while with team mates Ellis, Wrenn and Pearson. This is not a series you can make mistakes in; too many great drivers. I’ll keep running.

“Winter” NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – Winter NiS – Phoenix [Legacy]

  • Mike – Pdnf– ran about 25th most of the night in tops split minding my own business as we get to about 40 to go. I start racing get up to around 20th. They wreck up ahead of me. I can’t miss it. I get totally destroyed knocked the whole right front off the car
  • Justin-  P wrecked out

Saturday Fixed – Winter NiS – Phoenix [Legacy]

  • David – P18, running 5th near end, a 14 lapd down car wrecks another lap car into me on a restart, but of course iracing doesn’t allow you to protest stupid, you can only protest saying stupid.

Sunday fixed – Winter NiS – Phoenix [Legacy]

  • David – P wrecked, unavoidable stack up

Wednesday Open – Winter NiS – Darlington

  • Mike- P 12 had a horrible first run came in with no practice. I kept spinning the car and falling to the back eventually I was one lap down when the one caution came out and I got the lucky dog restarted dead last was able to work my way up to finish finally P 12 in top split
  • Justin – P9

Thursday Open – Winter NiS – Darlington

  • Mike- P5- had a great run going got as high as leading laps ran second for a while. There were only two cautions early on the rest of it green flag.  I short pitted from fourth on the final stop was in a good position, but hit the wall too hard had wheel damage struggled for a while, but was able to get it back under me and drive it up to finish P5.

Thursday Fixed – Winter NiS – Darlington

  • David – P5,  ran top 5 all night, should have been 2nd or 3rd but a late caution put us on a 4 lap run, and I just didn’t have short run speed.

FridayFixed – Winter NiS – Darlington

  • Mike- p2- had an absolutely great run in The Top Split, ran top five most of the night and ran second behind the leader who has an 8200 rating on the final restart. I was fifth going into the White. A couple got collected and I was able to sneak through and get P2. 205 championship points I think is my highest I’ve ever gotten in any race.
  • Justin – P wrecked out in the first caution DNF

Sunday fixed- Winter NiS – Darlington

  • Mike- dnf. Got ran over in the middle of the corner from behind and dumped basically with no apologies. I was the first caution about five minutes’ damage didn’t wanna run around so I parked it.

Wednesday open – Winter NiS – Martinsville

  • Mike- p13 top split got about what I deserved. I spun twice on my own.
  • Justin – P6

Thursday open- Winter NiS – Martinsville

  • Mike- dnf. Right after the start two guys had a B right in front of me they ended up wrecking each other under yellow after the next restart. The one guy who was badly damaged heavily his left front wasn’t even spinning and he was out on the track and he was right in the middle and I went to go around him and I was way too high and slammed the wall. Nine minutes damage the way I’m gonna run it out so I quit.

Official Series

FIA F4

  • Ellis– P10- qualified second was able to take the lead and was swapping the lead back-and-forth with another guy. He eventually ran me off the road I had to pit for damage finished P 10.
    • Qualified second in the rain spot off on my own ended up finishing third
  • Laguna Seca first attempt didn’t qualify well and it got wrecked out on that four went on to finish 17th
    • Second attempt qualified, 10th got the eighth at the end of lap one and eventually worked my way up to finish P5. Top split 118 championship points.
  • Next week, Virginia first start of the week started. P7 got as high as P5 and ends up finishing P6.
    • Qualified 17 top split got up to seventh then got ran over from behind fell back and finished P 14

A Open

  • Brad W – P3 (Auto Club) Started p5 and ran in top 10 all the race. We had a caution at lap 20 and went green from there till the end. Had to back off and save fuel but managed to save enough for a p3. Really had to be disciplined with lap times. I loved it.

IMSA

  • Hall – Quite a Few Podiums at Road America and Monza.  Currently sitting 2nd in points, not likely to catch the leader.
  • Brad W – P4 (GTD Monza) I attempted four starts and only finished 1. Race three was the most complete but was wrecked out while taking the lead with 2 minutes to go by a GTP taking p2 and myself three wide on the front stretch.
    • P4 (GTD Daytona) Avoided most of the first lap drama and settled into a good rhythm. Kept the car clean with only a few tire drops in LeMans Chicane. Finished about where I should have.

Hosted-

  • Ellis – Chris McGuire hosted ended up winning in the Pro Mazda at Michigan winner winner chicken dinner came from the back of the pack all the way to win it
    • Supercars at Michigan wrecked out
    • Car tomorrow at Talladega came from the back to the front got wrecked out
    • Ran pick up cup at Charlotte got wrecked out in the first turn

    • Running GEN five at Talladega started at 18th ended up getting the lead on the white but ran out of gas coming to the line and finish third

League / Hosted Races

Polar Series – Atlanta [Legacy]

  • Mike – P18- no cautions did a two stop strategy where I Short pit. Some of the guys I was 17th going into the stops ended up 17th coming out. I was just passing the leader on the White and they gave me the checker. I thought it was over and let up and then they gave me the white and one more guy got by me so I was P 18 about what I deserved.
  • Justin – P7
  • Greg – P23- wheel damage
  • Brad W – P16 Started on the front row and jumped out to an early lead. Ran too hard to start and had a few incidents where I got the car very squirrely. Decided to try a two stop race and thought it would work but did not. Had to try something different.
  • Chris – P wrecked out P 27
  • Donnie Spiker – P21
  • David Waldron – P24

Polar Series – Dover

  • Mike – P9– we had three cautions fairly early then green flag after that I basically ran the right front off until I blew a tire pitted with about 30 to go. I drove back up to P9 for about 15.
  • Justin – P4
  • Chris – P11. Blew a tire with around 30 to go after running in top 10. Missed the pits drove around and got into pits. Got 4 fresh tries and drove back up to 11th from 20th.
