24 hours of Daytona – 

  • Ellis– P3 I got in the car with about six hours left. We were already in P3 at that point and had a very uneventful race in the fog. Stay dry the whole time I ran two double stents took a break and then another double stent.
  • Chris – P15: I had a great experience all week. It was fun to get practice and to bond with teammates. I got to race in the rain for the first time at 1am est to 4am and absolutely loved it. I wanted to bring the car back with 0x added but had two fender benders. This is my second 24, first finish, and I can’t wait until next year. Proud of the resiliency of this group. 
  • William- P3. GRR team of 4. Did the 7AM EST timeslot. Started P15, was P6 by the time I got in the car for my first stint. Team of 4 did double stints, 1 guy couldn’t race during day, one at night. Pretty clean race overall. Got punted off in the horseshoe early on but no damage and not much spot lost. Started raining in my second stint, rained for a couple hours then dried. Then rained again all night long. We did fine in the rain, and I understand its a part of racing, but kinda disappointed in the amount when i’ve talked to other timeslots that didn’t have any at all. We were P2 at one point chasing the leaders, but had a slight mishap with the inside pit wall about 16 hours in. 6 min repairs, dropped to 6 but recovered to podium P3.
  • Tyler – P15 in class and P25 overall. Spent a week practicing for this event only for half of it to be wet. Disappointed by the weather forecast but had a great time with the GT3 team. Rain and multi class racing was a major challenge but the best 24 yet. I’m ready for the next one. 
  • Brad – P15 Can’t say enough about the team’s effort this past weekend. The race did not go the way that we planned. Almost half was in the rain (on a 25% forecast). The guys stepped it up and overcame many challenges. Did we make mistakes? Yes, did we learn? Yes and we will be better prepared for the next one.

  • Donnie S – GT4 Challenge Barcelona – P6 and P17  GT4/LMP3 Barcelona – P7 and 3

  • Ellis– P qualified P4 finish P2 made a couple mistake mistakes. I probably could’ve won it.
    • Qualified second
    • New track Winton motor raceway.  Qualified third got dumped in the first turn on the first lap fell back to the end and finish P 10.
    • X-ray qualified for

IMSA

  • Brad W – P11 (GTD-Nurburgring) Last car in top split. I like this track but I can’t find speed here. I’m normally 1-1.5 off the fast guys but this weeks it’s closer to 3 seconds. Honestly a p11 was better than what I deserved.
  • William W- P9 Daytona day after 24 and the only race I did this week besides the 24. Only car under 2.3K in this field. Hard race but rewarding keeping pace with with 2.6k drivers. Higher split helped as I was able to get my race pace down to the low to mid 44s, was only able to get to that in qualifying before.

How we was racing Late Models, and had heard from the Waltrip brothers about iRacing. So bought a used g27 wheel, and still have it today.

In the beginning it was for me to get used to the parameters of a big vehicle.

Helped him the most is the muscle memory, learning consistency.

Talked about his laptop with the g27, he could race on the road, in the hotel, etc…

So while he was at the snowball this year, he used iracing in the hotel, doing laps talking to the crew chief about the car…

Made friends with TJ, and TJ kinda got him involved in the nascar funnel…

Iracing is about getting a good group around you, a community, you go on there to hang with your buddys, its not always about turning laps…

Iracing is more difficult as you can only ‘see’ the car getting loose/tight, while in real racing you feel it in your seat… U can almost see yourself get loose before you feel it, with the iracing realling training you on the seeing the car….

Listener Feedback: Should SR Be Related To iR?

To whom it may concern, I have been a faithful listener of the podcast for several years and in listening to the many conversations about the frustration of being involved in way to many accidents, I can’t help but think about an idea I had a few years back now to reduce accidents.

I happen to know many really good drivers that may have ony a 2000 to 3000 IR but a 4.5 or higher SR, and quit officials only to participate in either hosted, or league racing. I tend to be one of those. Actually I have always maintained a SR in the mid fours in both oval and road but in all sincerity I think the last 7 or so official races I ran, I was taken out in about 6 of them no fault of my own. I have also found the most unsafe area to qualify is mid-pack. There always seems to be that one guy that goes for the win in the first turn. 

In my opinion, the most unrealistic aspect to sim racing, is the high percentage of wrecks. As we all know the one thing sim racing cannot replicate is the fear of bodily injury or worse, and the repercussions of very expensive car repair and damage.

So my idea would be to try and equalize this, by having IR more related to and incorporated with SR. So my thought is why not have drivers receive a higher percentage of IR points based on their SR. 

So for example, if you you have a 4.5 or higher SR,  a percentage could be attached to the IR accordingly. Say for every .5 or whatever number determined a driver would receive say a 5% bonus to the IR score.

The numbers could be determined however but the premise is a 2.0 safety rated driver would essentially be punished and the 5.0 driver rewarded.

Lets face it. In real life if we wrecked as much as in the sim world, a high percentage of people would either lose their careers or worse, their lives.  I”m also of the opinion that some sim racers hold much pride in SR as some do IR.

Well that’s my thoughts. I”d really like for Brad Wrenn’s to hear my thoughts and get his opinion on this. I hear so much frustration in his voice when sharing his race results from sloppy driving and poor etiquette. I sympathize. I don’t suspect this is what occurred in his real life racing experience.

Wednesday open -NiS – Daytona

  • Mike- P had a good race going was running third when the guy behind me ran into me and knocked me down through the grass and then I lost the pack and then shortly after a lapper was pushing me in was scrubbing, left and right on my bumper and basically turned me seven minutes optional I’ve done
  • David – P wrecked, dominate car, formed an alliance within the race and we had a 3 car trio pulling away from the pack.  Caution bunches back up,  and car who doesn’t know how to draft misses the line then comes right back down on me.  Then the fuck tard says I need to get my iRating up.
  • Justin – P
  • Tony – P16 welp here we are new year, new season same ole NiS fun. Started about 9th. stayed out of the way most of the race. About 150 laps in running P8 and coming in for a GF stop When 2 cars behind me not pitting wreck and somehow hit me giving me a unsafe pit entry so had to serve the 40 second penalty while under green. Couldnt make up the 2 laps down. Racing was actually clean for most part for a 1.8k split. Only 6 cautions and a 30 lap run at the end. This is race 1 of 6 il be running this week. NiS Is back and catch me on Tik Tok Live when im racing its fun. 
  • Kyle – P6 started P25 and just hung out in the back. Was having technical issues with my throttle and had to keep resetting my throttle map every couple of laps. Finally about half way I marched my way to the front and took the lead for 9 laps until a green flag run came out and cycled back a few spots due to a lapper who wanted to block the whole track. Stayed in the top 10 to bring it home P6
  • Chris – P 4. I kept the Waldron’s Furniture, iRacers Lounge, Sim Wraps, Premier Racing Set-Ups Chevy clean for most of the race as some big incidents thinned out the field. My goal was to stay safe until the final fuel run. Then it was balls to the wall. The draft had me moving both forward and backward, but I managed to charge from 11th to 4th in the final lap. You can see it in my eyes – I’m laser-focused and determined to win the Daytona 500 this week.
  • Brad- P28. Really had a good race going. The racing was really tame for the first half of the race. It looked like fuel was going to come into play. However, a yellow around lap 115 had us all pit. Coming back to the green in the top 10 when we lost power at the house. Thursday night and we still have no power. Oh well, call this one an engine gremlin.
  • Donnie – DNF.  Ran top 8 the whole race, good pit stops. Finally taken out by the lobby closer.  I’ll try again Sunday morning.
  • Tyler – P lost internet

Thursday Open- NiS – Daytona

  • Mike- P dnf – green flag stop around halfway running 4th, got into hot to pitroad and slammed into the wall
  • David – P wrecked out, a pit in mistake getting loose on entry to put me where I was in the wrong mix, but the wreck was just bystnder standard
  • Tony – P ass rammed welp got my pole on, led first 40 laps til GF stops. About half way was caught a lap down when caution came out when i was pitting. Was trying to stay clean in the lucky dog when i just got total slammed when i was checking up for car in front. Sent to the wall hood a flapping. Too much damage to finish.

Official Series

Draft Master

  • Ellis -Daytona. Started ninth was leading laps and upfront in the mix coming to the end. I was pushing a guy on the outside, but I ended up getting wrecked and finishing P6.  

A Open

  • Mike. P22- was all over the place most of the race but at the end I was like five or six back on the bottom lane guy tried to shove it underneath me and turned me into Pitt Road and I ran through Pitt Road to get to the start finish line so it scored me one lap down in P 22. Fixed. 
  • Mike- Open -Man, last night I was in position to win. It was the White. I’m on the bottom three back the outside Lane is coming. I move up to block. I see him going higher like they’re gonna go around me. I don’t continue or finish the block and they go around me and I ended up fourth.

IMSA

  • Brad W – P5 (GTD-Monza) Finally was able to finish one. Started mid pack but was somewhat consistent and picked them off over the race. Not my best track but glad to get away with a top 5 after two DNFs.

  • Ellis – Saturday night, The Clash and hosted special thanks to Chris Waldron for putting on the event and our winner. Michael takes on the wind and gets the push to talk button.  Refill the room with 40 people had a pretty good event and I appreciate everyone coming out.

More Updates For Marvin’s Awesome iRacing App

I am not sure if you guys have seen this, but a clever programmer has come up with a cool app that opens iRacing 360hz to more bases and offers some unique setting options.  Main one being the ability to scale the “FFB Detail” higher without having to increase the overall FFB Force.  He has effectively separated the detail and main force levels via 2 channels (AC/DC).

He’s quickly implementing changes to improve the performance and include community suggestions.  The bit I have tested shows good promise.  Some other users are also very impressed with the clarity of FFB signal and adjustability.

The main issue I see now (and suffer from myself) is that Simagic bases are not functioning properly with the app.  But all other brands I have seen mentioned (usual suspects) are working well.  The dev says he will be working to address the Simagic issue when he can visit a friend with one of them.

Also interesting is that David Tucker from iRacing’s programming team has been chatting with the dev and seems to appreciate the direction of the project.  Anyway, may still be a ways out from ultimate refinement but it is a simple app to set up and test for yourself.

FIA F4 Americas 

  • Mike – P17- qualify at 18th and top split finish 17th with zero incidents at Tsukuba.. I was here for SR. 

M2

  • Ellis– P6 qualified third but ran off into the grass on my own lap. One fell back to eight recovered to finish P6.
    • We switched over to circuit de Lebanon. I qualified 11th out of 12 and top split got my way up to finish. P6 had a great battle for six with a guy and it was a little rough and I ended up getting the bump and run on the final corner to take the spot Great racing
    • Qualified fifth finish P2 great run, but I didn’t have anything for the leader. He was way faster than me.  

A Open

  • Chris W – P 6. Took a bit to learn the set up. I quit shifting and took off. Late race caution I stayed out on tires 10 laps old. Lead some laps and bright it home P6. 

IMSA

  • Brad W – P6 (GTD-Road America) Probably one of my favorite circuits. Started p9 and was able to gain a few spots in the early laps. As large as this place is, traffic can still be an issue. I could gain on cars ahead until being passed. Had a very good pitstop and jump p6 and was able to hold him off till the finish.

League / Hosted Races

Grass Roots Racing GTP/GT3 League

  • William W –  P2. Road America Week. Qualified P2, fell to P3 on first lap with bad off track. Rode in P3 for a long time, jumped to P2 at the pitstop. With 20 min to go spun the car coming out of the final corner got some aero damage and got passed by p3. P1 got taken out with about 15 to go trying to pass a lapped car. Could have had the win if not for the spin, but will take P2. Probably only race this week. 

Polar Series – Legacy Michigan

  • David Hall – P14 race length 100laps, fuel window 50 laps, = spend whole race racing the fuel tank instead of cars.

Hosted- 

  • Ellis –old IndyCar at Michigan got wrecked out
    • GEN five at Talladega finished P2 almost one  it
    • Supercars at Michigan. Wrecked out.
    • Mini stocks at Bristol qualified 45 out of 60 finish
    • GEN five at Talladega. Qualified 41st at a 54.
    • Sprint car pavement at Rockingham finished P2
    • 87 at Talladega P4 great race

Friday open – Winter NiS – Talladega

  • John – P16. This was not a good race for me. Banged the outside wall twice without help. Car was way too loose and I just messed up. Could  not control it.  Second time gave me wheel damage that was fatal.

Sunday fixed- Winter NiS – Talladega

  • Mike- P11- grand top five all night let some laps a guy in front of me got loose near the end and I tagged him ended up with five minutes damage and had to bring it home P 11.

M2

  • Ellis– P Lédenon- qualified eight out of 12. Very competitive race finished P5 very happy with that still one second off the fast guy. I don’t know how they doing it.
    • Switched tracks to Okayama international circuit. Qualified 11 out of 12.
    • Qualified for finish P3 great run
    • Qualified got up to third but the guy in fourth decided to direct me out and got my car destroyed DNF

IMSA

  • Brad W – P DNF City – two starts and two DNF. I have completed a total of 5 laps in two races.
  • William W- P
    • 2/1 – P12. Started P2, worst rejoin I’ve ever seen by LMP2. See discord. 
    • 2/2 – P14. Started P2. Was leading when got meatball from GTP trying to pass. Good bit of netcode. 
    • 2/2- P4. Bad quali, started P19, but had pace and good pit stop. 

GT Sprint Simucube Series

  • William W – P11. 2nd split, 2.6k sof. Guys were fast. Qualified P16 out of 32, found a little pace throughout the race. Slow pit.

GT /IMSA Endurance Series

  • William W – P6. I made a bad move on lap 4 diving into someones vortex of danger. 3k driver qualified the car and put a 1.5k in to start the race. He was a moving roadblock. My teammate had a really good drive, was able to get us back to P6. 

League / Hosted Races

Grass Roots Racing GTP/GT3 League

  • William W –  P6. Screw Barcelona. That is all. 

Polar Series – Phoenix

  • David Hall – P8 Something about Phoenix and this car works better for me.  Had good speed and long run.  However, the arrow push is real.  I would run down cars, and unless they were really struggling with handling, I would slow down and not even be able to get their bumper, they didn’t have to block or anything.

Thursday Fixed – NiS – Daytona

  • Tony -Pweeeeeeee in the wall.  Round 3 of 6 of week Of Daytony. Started 3rd just minding my own business when a couple cars up front hug and spin and collect me and end my day with a too much damage cant continue… honestly think Fix drafty track is a bit harder than open for the simple fact everyone is running same set

Friday Open – NiS – Daytona

  • Mike- P disqualified kept getting wrecked over and over and over
  • David – P spun into wall pitting
  • Tony -P6 round 4 of 6 of week of Daytony started 3rd on this one. Kept it clean even led a lap. Got door slammed by a guy that was not clear trying to get in the inside lane which i believe killed my aero for rest of the race.1st gwc got collected in a dipshit doing 3 wide on the apron doing dipshit stuff. And avoided some good wrecking on the 2nd gwc. 
  • Greg -P wrecked out
  • Tyler – P9. After battling several computer issues I had help from above with B Mac spotting for me. Kept it clean for the most part and just capitalized on the restarts. Happy with a top 10 at the 500!

Saturday Fixed- NiS – Daytona

  • Tony P18 round 5 of 6 of Daytony week. Started mid pack. Had some dumbass lapped cars made me lose the draft by side drafting. Just never could make it back to the front. Towards end of the race was a lap down and was lucky dog. Made the mistake of just edging the pace car at the line and got a black flag and had a 1 second hold. Never did get my caution to get my lap back.

Sunday Open- NiS – Daytona

  • David – P wrecked out early, 0 for 4 and that much closer to an early end of NiS.
  • Tony – P8 last round 6 for 6 runs of the daytona 500. Race was ok til mid race and restart with 2 wide when a few lap damaged cars stay door to door with me and the cars mid pack and make us loose the draft. I ended up a lap down with no yellows at the end to get lucky dog. 

Sunday Fixed- NiS – Daytona

  • Mike- P7 had a good race going nice and clean up until 10 to go. I was at the top five and a big wreck. I was involved in stayed out with damage for the restart. Then caution after caution, we had two green white checkers somehow someway I finished P7.

Wednesday Open -NiS – Atlanta

  • Mike- P3- had a great race, led some laps. Got a pit road penalty from the lead and had to start tail end from the new Pitt Road rules drove it back up through there within just a few laps back to the lead.  Got involved in a incident where I got blamed, but it wasn’t my fault after reviewing replays, but no damage was able to keep it clean as the final restart came with my teammate behind me. We were coming hard on the 2 L but we didn’t quite have enough. We finished third and fourth.
  • David – P4, drove with my formula wheel at clutch paddles for brake the throttle.  Really just tried to stay safe and even at the end I was not aggressive as I could have been cause I just wanted a finish after 5 wreckouts in a row.
  • Tony – P22 started 2nd led a few laps and just kept getting shuffled to the back from checkups and ttrying to avoid ass ramming cars in front and losing the draft. Got nose damage when wreck in front caught me. I miss old Atlanta and hate this mile and half drafty shit
  • Kyle – P14 Started P13 raced my way up to Justin And BW and held the top 10 until I made a mistake out of turn two and clipped the apron. Fell way back and came to the top line and just drove to the front half of the field. Fell back a bit to finish a hard 8 lap battle to come home P14.
  • Chris – P 19. The Waldron’s Furniture, iRacers Lounge, Sim Wraps, Premier Set Up Shop Chevy was a beast—qualified 4th, but the PC shut down when I get in. Started from the pits, fought my way to 4th, but with 20 to go, a wreck up ahead caused a pileup, and I got 8 minutes of damage. I limped it to the finish and ended up P19. Not the result I wanted, but hey, my bright red Chevy Camaro will be back to get those checkers Friday Night. 
  • Brad- P11 A frustrating race to say the least. The car had great speed but it is so hard to pass here. I spent most of the race in the top 10 glued to the bottom but you can’t win from there. Tried to work the high side but it was really hard to make movement if you were not leading the line. Was hoping for a top 5 but was forced three wide in the last few laps and had to concede spots to avoid wrecking. Will be glad to say goodbye to “drafting” tracks. Two back to back is too much. 
  • Tyler – P4. Started in the back and tried my best to stay out of trouble. Cautions fell at the right time and kept the fenders on. Got to push to the finish,  my teammate and iRacing Legend, Mike Ellis to a P3. I’m pleased with my 4th place run. Just need one more lap. Great showing by Tifosi! 
  • Evan- p1 (a open instead of NIS accidentally)

Thursday Open- NiS – Atlanta

  • Mike- P 20- had a good run clean race worked my way up to lead. The race was leading the bottom lane when the guy behind me pushed me coming off the exit 2 and sent me down to the apron never recovered finished P 20.

  • Ellis – P3 Laguna Seca qualified six finish P3 got the dirt in the corkscrew and knocked somebody off. Course wasn’t real proud of that.

A Open

  • Brad W – P9 (Atlanta) The race was very clean and surprisingly tame until the last lap. Was running in second and while taking the white was taken 4 wide. Was spun but managed to finish 9th.
    • P20 (Atlanta) Started P5 and ran in top 5 all race. Got shuffled off the bottom coming out of T2 with two to go. Coming to white flag, a spinner ahead caused a check up. Felt like I was going to clear but got run over from behind and destroyed. Not a fan of the season starting with back to back drafting tracks.


League / Hosted Races

Majors Endurance Championship

  • Greg and David –  P16.  Mid pack car, had a clean race till hour four a gt3 just ignored us passing them on the outside and hit us and caused us to get hit from behind.  They were penalized.  The race has a neat format but they have some kinks to work out like the admin of our split knowing the procedure for Safety Cars.

Grass Roots Racing GTP/GT3 League

  • William W –  P14. Murdered by a mistake behind me on lap 1 turn 1.

Friday Open – NiS – Atlanta

  • Mike- P12 – pitted for the last green flag stop from fourth came out first had a 3.8 second lead over second had a lap car trying to push me and after a little bit, I got turned. There were subsequent cautions that came out worked my way back up but ran out of fuel on the before the final green white checker so I had to restart at 16th made my way up to finish P 12.
  • Donnie- P10
  • Chris – P 16. The Waldron’s Furniture Racing crew showed incredible resolve this weekend. After getting caught up in a wreck, we dropped all the way back to 30th with four minutes of damage to overcome. But the team worked tirelessly in the pits, getting the car back in shape. Thanks to their hard work, we were able to salvage a 16th-place finish in our Sim Wraps, iRacers Lounge, and Premier Set-Up Chevy Camaro. It’s a true testament to the crew’s resilience and determination.
  • Brad- P17. Started p9 and same old story, different day. Ran in the top 5 almost all the race and even led some laps late but coming to the line with a top 5 finish in sight…Nope, not going to happen. Leaders wreck, I get turned and finish backwards in p17.
  • Joe– got the Pole. P13 
  • John – P8 Really like the racing at this track. We had 8 cautions, which was a bit much, but overall enjoyable. I stayed in the top 15 most of the race, had good pit stops, and good restarts, except one. Got a slow start on the GWC and left a gap. Thats never good. We were single file on the last lap. Guy two cars in front got out of line and the guy in front of me past him. I followed, but the guy that slid up gave me no room. I guess he thought he could side draft, but he was wrong. We touched and wrecked but I still got 8th. I’m very happy because this gave me my second top 10 in the first two weeks of the season. Pretty good for me.

Wednesday Open -NiS – COTA

  • Mike- P19- only got to 8x but was one of the slowest out there, got what i deserve.
  • David – P 9  8x.  Focused on racing the track, short pitted to get out of congestion with some lap cars and a guy behind that I wasn’t trusting his patience.  After pit cycle never saw him again so right call.  I actually like that shorter layout.
  • Chris – P DQ’d. The track limits on this track are stupid. Get a wheel a little on the paint and it’s 1x after 1x. Shame on iRacing for not having the track limits right. When we watch on Sunday the cars will be all over the place. I hate this new layout. Finished P2 last year. This is stupid and no fun. 
  • Brad- P26 – Top split so I finished where I deserved. Not a fan of this track and more so this layout. One and done but I scored more points here than I did at Daytona.
  • Donnie – P25

Thursday Open- NiS – COTA

  • Mike- P13- started 15th got the 10th by the end of lap 1/8 by the end of lap two and then got as high as P4 as pitstop cycled, but ended up spinning twice on my own and ended up finishing P 13

  • Kyle P1 Started P8 and just drove around on the top lane. Lap 8 snake my way through the big one and fall back 1.4 from the lead pack. Just staying in their tire tracks I was able to suck back up the lead pack of 8 trucks. Made moves when I could. 2 to go I jump to the 3rd lane and just held it to the floor. Coming to turn 3 a lapper was way off the pace and he chose to stay in the middle allowing me to ride the top lane and get around the 2 other lower lanes. I was able to drop to the front of the bottom line and just watched out my mirror the last lap. Nice to have a win in 2025. It’s been over a year since my last oval win.

A Open

  • John K. P14. Started 19th. Could not keep the car under control. Handled like a log wagon. Too tight, then too loose, then too tight, then too loose and on and on. Had a good group in the lobby and that always helps. But I was just too slow. Some races thats just the way it goes. We just suck it up and move on to the next one and chase the win.

IMSA

  • Brad W – P11 – (GT3-LeMans) Top split and started next to last. Managed to get lucky with some guys taking themselves out but I was way off ace. Really struggled finding the balance with the Vette here in all the high speed curves.

GT /IMSA  Conspit Endurance Series

  • William W – P12. Unfortunate death about 5 hours in. First time driving GTP in a race. Only hit the wall once.

$3000 In Cash Prizes

V2Rtv is hosting a never before done sim racing tournament. We’ve united 10 US based arrive and drive sim centers in 8 different states. Each location is allocating a couple of their available sim rigs for this campaign with a combined 30 sim rigs or 30 finalists. 

Open qualifying starts on August 15th and runs till September 15th. The top number of drivers based on how many entries will be invited back to their locations on September 25th for a heats-based tournament running the Ford Mustang GT3 at Watkins Glen Cup Layout. 

Drivers will be competing for their share of $3,000 (so far) and the winning driver earning $1,500 as the top 5 get paid out. 

With over 40 open arrive and drive sim racing centers in the US and 10 more on the way, we can see the next boom in growth for the industry coming out of these facilities. Uniting many of these locations for special events develops a community like partnership between the sim centers allowing them to create their own ecosystems to drive success. 

I do know a couple of the owners involved have said they would be interested in being on a podcast and doing some media to promote the unity of these centers.

  • Brad – P3 (GTD Road America) Started P2. Led almost all the laps. Lost lead right before pitstops. Jumped the leader during the stop. We were running very similar times and how the faster classes caught us was really changing the gap each lap. Had the lead on the last lap until a GTP who was 6 laps down and 18 laps ahead of the car behind him decided to pass me going into the kink. He loses it and wipes me out. Managed to limp to P3 but super frustrated to lose a race because of a very stupid move that had no gain for him and cost me the race.

  • Ellis-ran three or four hosted races on Friday night and three on Saturday night didn’t really track finishes because I was busy live streaming the TikTok. .

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – Michigan

  • Mike – P19. No cautions on the final stop. I was 12 and I came out 20th. I don’t even know what happened.
  • Kyle -P P6 Started P4 Used some strategy near the first half of the race to stay out on old tires and got lucky with several back to back cautions to eat away laps as I held the lead. Kept the car clean all race long and brought home a respectable P6 with 0X
  • Tony -P34 second time i have been in a wreck caused by a Chase Elliott driver 
  • Brad – P10 Started p16. Drove up to the front early but missed the better fuel strategy on doing it on one stop. Car was just not good enough at the end of the run to drive closer to the front.

Sunday Open – Michigan

  • Tony P real life…. Best spot to put this hear. Got to hang out with form Teammate and fellow Aftermath co-host Tony Groves and his lovely wife Lisa. While they didnt bring me any fuzzy peaches but we did bring the rain.
  • Tom – P16
  • Kyle P P 4 Started P9.Race went caution free for 80 laps. Got to the top 5 and just held it for 48 laps. Pitted under green and came out 13th and just started working my way to the front until lap 80 and the first caution comes out. Pit and come out 5th. We would follow with 3 more cautions before having a 4 lap run to the end. On the final restart going into turn 3 2 cars to my outside hit and go spinning just inches off my front bumper and the race stays green. I help off the cars behind me for a P4 finish with 0X.

Sunday Fixed – Michigan

  • Mike- P4! I got involved in a big wreck on the second caution with over four minutes damage ran at the tail of the lead lap most of the race gradually getting it fixed as we approach the end and they keep working and I kept moving forward. I was up to PS six for the second green white checker restart. . another quick caution, final green white checker the leader loses it down in the corner. We all wreck. I knocked the right front off. I am able to finish P4, but have a meatball flag, but kept my position. P4!!!
  • Justin –P wrecked out

Wednesday Open – Daytona

  • Mike- P Ray on top 10 most the day as high as second right after green flag stops but made some bad moves and got shuffled pretty much at the end and wrecked out on the final lap basically destroyed and finish the race finish 20 something
  • Justin – P5, just tried to stay out of trouble, saved my X’s for the end of the race to survive.
  • John – P 4. 13 cautions for 38 laps – that tells you just about everything you need to know. The highlight for me was that I got to run with team mate Bobby Jonas. Love racing with him. We worked together really well and our plans were working. Unfortunately, Bobby got disconnected with about 15 to go. We had three G/W/C runs. There was a crash on the backstretch on the last lap which I avoided and was able to go from 8th to 4th. Happy with that finish, but hope Friday is cleaner. 
  • Brad W – P29. Started p15 too much stupidity to even discuss.
  • Tony P25 there i was just chilling saving fuel when car in front got wrecked and tagged me ending my night 
  • Bobby – P wrecked out and Internet issues
  • Chris W – P 14. I need to be more aggressive. Played it safe in the back. Ended up in front pack with laps counting down. Did not see the pack behind us catch and pass on the outside. Late caution let me top off but could not pass. Ended up p14 with 0x

Thursday Open – Daytona

  • Mike- P6- was the pusher on the bottom lane late in the race and the outside Lane wrecked us big time. I restarted back in 22 with like three to go and was able to get up to P6 as a final effort after a green flag run and we went 60 laps without a caution.
  • Tony – P20 guess i love the punishment. got Super excited for getting out of work early to see how i can race against a bunch of Europeans. Welp like usual in a 1.8k split they cant drive. Survived for awhile till wreck check up and i got Logano’d in the ass and spun me out coming out of T4. Saved it np caution.  Ended up getting lapped and while hanging out in the lead pack. Leaders wreck and caught a x so lost my lucky dog. Than actually finished green from 10 laps to go.

Official Series

24 Hr Lemans

  • P37, ran out of parts

FIA F4 

  • Ellis -Sonoma Sunday night finish P5 actually spun at three different times. Don’t know how I got a top five with that the goal was to gain some iron rating so I could potentially get more points and we gained 40 mission accomplished.
  • On the next week at Virginia North. Qualified fifth got to fourth and spun on my own under pressure and had to get a quick repair drove back up to 17th 

A Open

  • John K – P10. Was in 3rd on last lap coming into tri-oval. Guys behind decided to do the usual – pile drive into non-existent holes and wreck us all. Slid backwards over the S/F line with a banged up car. 
  • Tyler – P Tuesday night wrecked out and lab two from some guy hitting the apron and wiping everybody out enough. Meatball for dinner.
  • Mike. P3– got involved in one of the wrecks where knocked in the right front never pitted to repair it though and stayed out for track position. It wasn’t fast but with the way the last few laps played out I was able to work myself up to finish P3 super proud of that was a damage car.

B Open

  • John. P22. Was in P2 on lap 8. P5 decided to ram the heck out of P3 and sent him head on into my right rear. I went upside down and had 38 minutes of required repairs. I quit the race because race would have been pretty much over by the time the car got fixed. 

IMSA

  • Brad – P4 (GTD LeMans) Started p5 and was able to stay with leaders until a cut course penalty. Was able to jump two cars during the pit stop. Had a good battle for p3 over the last three laps but did not press the point as I really needed a good finish. 
    • Two starts at VIR and have not finished either one. There is a reason that this is a GTD only event in real life.

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – Richmond

  • Tony -P7 with 0x and 14 cautions. A regular 4 lettered first name guy knocked me out of a top 5 on the white flag. just surprised he didn’t wreck me
  • Brad – P30 Started p6 and ran in the top 10 for all of the race. A restart with 25 to go running 5th and get destroyed. Forced three wide on restart and wrecked trying to back out. Sit on track for almost 15 seconds to let all the cars go by only to get hit by someone who never lifted.
  • Chris W – P 18. Was 11th with 10 to go and got loose and spun. Went back to P22 for GWC’s and got up to 18th. We had 19 cautions… it was not pretty.

Sunday Open – Richmond

  • Greg –P13 – 
  • Tom – P16
  • Joe – p4 – I would’ve won if it stayed green cuz I was running 5th running the leaders down quick. I was over a 1/2 faster with 20 to go. But nooo.  lol 3 caution later. lol

Wednesday Open – Michigan

  • Mike- P loaded wrong set. Went to the back. Caught caution to fix that but got destroyed in the next big one. Soldiered on to get destroyed again. Dnf 
  • Justin – P2, long story short, came down to the last corner. I got to the leader’s right rear side and drafted him until we were about even and then he threw me a door and we got stuck together from the exit of turn 4 to the start finish line. Lost by .005 seconds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One day I will figure this shit out.
  • Brad W – P28 Started p12 and drove to the top 8. Was making progress longer in the run to get door slammed by a guy for no reason. Decided to get the damage fixed on the second yellow flag and restarted mid pack. Started to drive back up only to get caught up in a wreck from up front. The NiS wreck fest continues. Three race weeks in a row of horrible finishes and none my fault.
  • Tony P30. Oh home sweet home. had a fast car on the fast track but apparently it was too fast for a couple of guys in front of me when a Chase Elliott car got wrecked and had no where to go. Meatballed
  • Kyle P – P21 started P7 and just was lazy on restarts. Had 12 cautions and had to play wreck avoidance the whole race until 3 to go and I got collected up in a wreck and the car was junk and limped home P21.
  • Greg – P17 was p4 on the 3rd gwc and was taken out by a guy that was in the gwc 2 wreck and given his spot back
  • Chris W – P 19. Ended a Michigan race with 24X. What a sloppy night. Got into a slow car and wrecked half the field. Then got caught in another wreck. Blinker made me wreck Mike and myself. I hate it. This is my favorite track and I was looking to have a good run. On the next week. .

Thursday Open – Michigan

  • Mike- P11 got in a couple different incidents but no damage was able to keep it together and finish P 11. I’ll take a finish.
  • Tony – P8 decided to roll out the throwback Kellogg Birb car. Was faster than Wednesday night. Again with the dumbasses that wanna take it 3-4 wide out of turn 2 and not hold a line. Got some wheel damage but the birb was still fast

Official Series

FIA F4 

  • Ellis -that’s Sonoma took Tuesday off to finish installing the brakes. First race out on the new pedal set was only six people I was leading the race spun out once and twice and finished third with only 60 points. That was a great opportunity missed.
    • Car number 14 out of 24 qualified third and finished second. 86 points is enough for me to retain my lead and park it for the week

IMSA

  • Brad – P5 (GTD Barcelona) Started p8 and was able to drive up to p5. That was about as much speed as I had. This is not one of my better tracks. Was 2nd in points at the end of the week, worried that with the drop weeks I’m going to slip behind in the points.

Friday Open – Watkins Glen

  • Mike – P P8- it was boring, but it was fun at the end when I got some love from Haley Deegan and her husband
  • Greg – P4
  • Kyle- p4
  • Tony -P13 2nd from bottom

Wednesday Open – Bristol

  • Mike- P13– ran anywhere from 2nd to 10th most of the night was running when I got too many incidents and had a drive-through penalty. I fell down two laps from there and never recovered.  
  • David – P
  • Justin – P1! I really just tried to survive until the end. I wanted to park it half way through the race just cause I was getting beat up so bad but I stuck with it. I channeled my inner David Hall and pulled some strategy out of my ass. We got a caution around lap 20 and I was p6 when the field went into the pits. The whole field took 4 tires besides me and another guy. Which lined me up on the front row P2 on the start. We had a green flag run until about 2 to go. I was on that leader’s ass the whole time if he messed up I was going to get him which he did. We were coming up on a lap car. The lap car stayed high which so did the leader and I just chose whatever lane was open and as soon as I cleared the leader another caution fell. Which led to a Green White Checker. Soon as we hit the Geico Restart Zone I mashed it and kept the lead until the checker came out. This might be my biggest WIN yet! This is a team Tifso Win all the way. If you guys didn’t help me with my computer issues the last couple of weeks I would still be on the sidelines. Thanks Team!
  • Brad W – P29. Running 3rd and was collected by a wreck of back markers that had the track blocked.
  • Chris W – P 20. 19 laps down and 18 of them were from stupid pit road mistakes. Works been nuts, I’m chasing a toddler, and have not slept well and it shows. Hopefully I’ll get some rest and be better at Kansas. Great win Justin!

  • Brad and Justin – wrecked on lap 2 and then taken out by an LMP2.

FIA F4 

  • Ellis – ran my third attempt at Willow Springs started fourth got up to second and finish second. Only 83 points compared to 85 for my fifth last week.
  • Fourth attempt qualified P2 was running P2 when I got ran over after getting loose. A little bit a lap car was right on my ass and ran over me finished P 11.  Haley Deegan and Chase Cabre were back in the chat. Got a hat and mustache from Haley. I asked her about what she’s racing and why she wasn’t racing with me. She said she’d be back in f four on Monday but she’ll be racing the F3 car at cota in October.
  • Monday first race at Sebring car number four in  second split qualified third really made no mistakes finished second. Guy won was about a second a lot faster than me. I got 89 championship points that’s enough for this week but I’ll run the other three races to see if I can beat it. 
  • Second race I qualified for I would make some aggressive moves and got to the lead, then spun myself out of the lead back to sixth then drove back up to second myself out and wrecked out DNF
  • Third race fairly high split qualified seventh got to fourth then Rector tangled with a guy on the final turn and we all wrecked and had to tow P 15

B Open

  • David – P10 at the glen

IMSA

  • Hall – P 
    • Fuji P 4,6,7 – getting the rain sort of but sometimes it still just goes
  • Brad – P12. Struggled in the rain. Very frustrating race.


League / Hosted Races

Hosted- 

  • Ellis- Dallara dash – came in P2 at Charlotte. Talk to Kevin McCarthy after the race and he informed me that Moza sent him some complementary new petals. we talked about the active break that’s upcoming. He said this fall and they’ll be one for not only the break but the clutch and the throttle.
  • Then ran pick up cup at old Daytona and winner winner chicken dinner got the win!
  • Ran GEN four at Bristol finished P7
  • 87 at Talladega wrecked out 
  • mini stock at Iowa p5.
