NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – New Hampshire
- David – P13 (A open Replacement)
Wednesday Open -NiS – Kansas
- David – P10 (A open Replacement)
Thursday Open- NiS – Kansas
- Mike- P 11 I had a couple instances where I spun out on my own held a break and got cream from behind. Got all that damage fixed once the damage was repaired. Was able to recover up to finish P 11 will take it.
- Chris – P25 top split
Official Series
A Open
- David – P10 (A open top split) Good long run speed, car 22 in a tough field
- Brad W – P23 Taken 3 wide and wrecked on lap 16. Does not matter what Next Gen series, the racing is no longer fun.
Ring Meister
- Mike – P Toyota GR 86 had the pole position. Second place was putting pressure on me coming down the hill lap. One I over drove one corner just stuffed it in the wall hard DNF.
- Started on pole position got ran over from the lead from behind where the guy just missed the breaking point ended up falling back to P6, but recovering to finish P2
- Started p5 finish P3. Ended up with seven incident points, though after I got into one guy accidentally still a great podium finish.
- Monday night GT three I picked the Ferrari wrecked out early on the first race due to low brain rate how to adjust graphics
- Starting in 27th out of 29. Got up to 15th by the end of lap one, but in a game of chicken at the end of the straightaway, I lost and the guy didn’t give me room.
- Start a 22 got to third by the end of lap one. As soon as I realized I was third I spun out on my own and fell to 11th then worked my way back up to finish P6 finally finish, but I’m bleeding SR.
- Started on Pitt Road dead last P 28 got up to 14th by the time we got to the big hill me and another guy were side-by-side going up the hill we’re catching another car and when we get to the kink, he suddenly goes from six to 4th gear with brakes on an uphill turn where you’re only supposed to tap the brake for a moment he slows some 2030 mile an hour, and I rear-ended him real hard and kill the car dnf.
- Start a 25th of 27 got up to about 15 quite soon, but then a Mustang went off and came back on and took out a group of five of us DNF
- Finally qualified third out of in 26. Hit the wall pretty hard going up the hill trying to make a pass at the kink was really stupid and hit the wall, but was able to continue on and bring it home and finish P4.
- Started on Paul position. Led the entire race and won it winner winner chicken dinner. I had to fight for the guy in second gave me a run, but eventually he wrecked off and I was able to win the race.
- Pole position, foughthard for the lead. But eventually lost it due to sloppy driving. I actually tried to turn the driving line off this race and struggled hard. P2. Upset if I left the driving line on, I feel like I would’ve won the race.
- Qualified third was running third when I hit the curbs and hit the wall, knocking the hole back and off the car DNF
- Started on the pole position, led the first half of the race had about a six second lead and made a mistake and stuffed it in the wall and knocked the rear end off DNF. It’s checkers or wreckersfor me.
IMSA
- Brad W – P5 (Sebring GT3) Started p2 but still struggling to get up to speed on cold tires. Had very good pace but trying to pass another Mustang is hard because both cars are so planted coming off the corner. Was in p4 till I blew the hair pin being way too aggressive trying to make a pass. Managed to gain a few spots on the last lap as traffic took out some guys ahead of me.
- William W- P9, P14,P6. Sebring. Messed up qualifying on the first two runs by getting an off track on my second lap. It’s very hard to move through the field here with similar skill level racers. The last race was top split near 4k sof. Pretty proud of a P6 here. Didn’t mess up qualifying but in this field a good lap only got me around 9th. Made it to 6th on first lap and then pretty much held on for dear life. Was gaining on 5th but started to overdrive the car and made the tires angry. But I’ll take P6 top split.
INDYCAR OVAL – Fixed
- John – P9. Nice to have a 70 lap race with only one caution. I was running P8 and spun it into the grass out of turn 4 on lap 18. Touched the inside wall and got some damage that could not be repaired. Didn’t hurt the car much. Stayed out as long as I could but had to pit on lap 39 for fuel. Sure enough, as soon as i pulled in the pits the one and only caution came out and that put me a lap down. Rest of the race was calm and I brought it home in the top 10
Draftmaster
- John K. P10. What can I say? I finished a draftmaster with only 4X, so that’s a good run.
League / Hosted Races
Majors 24hrish of Atlanta
- David = P4, The last yellow cost us a podium
Grass Roots Racing
GTP/GT3 League – Watkins Glen Sprint Race
- William W – P2. Very challenging conditions at Watkins. We use forecasted weather and don’t change it unless it’s like the 3rd race in a row. Forecast was for a 62% chance of rain, but driving the actual session the intensity fluctuated between 65-100%. Surprised myself with how well I did as I normally dread the rain. No major mishaps. Was running P4 on the last lap when P2 spun in the last turn and collected P3. Overall very good result.
- Brad W – P6 in the Monsoon of The Glen. Very bad conditions the entire race. I managed to only have one spin but the rain intensity was around 74% the entire race with the track being at 87% which would be a red flag condition in the real world. Yes, iRacing you still have issues with the weather model!
- David – Wrecked. Felt good about running the early part of the race mistake free, but in the process of trying to figure out which lane a gt3 was taking, I missed the braking mark, because of the spray.
Elbows Out Racing League (LMP2 and GT3 Wednesday Nights)
- William- P10. They were testing the software that automatically throws the yellow with a certain amount of incidents with a certain amount of time but it was tuned way too sensitive. Spent the first 30 min under the safety car. Admins handle it the best they could but tough conditions to run in. Messed up pit strategy by not going in under yellow. Had pace for maybe a top 3 but cycled to 10th after green flag stop.
Hosted-
- Ellis – Chris McGuire hosted Cara tomorrow at Talladega finish P5 and then supercars at Michigan finish P5
- Old Indy car at Pocono wrecked out
