Friday Open – NiS – Martinsville
- David – P33
- Tony -P8 finally broke a streak of no top 10s since end of September last year. Typical shit Martinsville 29 cautions dont think we got more than 5 green flag laps In. Mostly stayed clean
- Brad- P2 I tried to throw this one away also. Started p2 and spun the tires on the start. Managed to collect both teammates, Justin and Greg. From that on I was all about getting back to the front. We had way too many yellows but it’s Martinsville. I would finally get back to the top 5 with about 50 las to go and flip back and forth between P2/3 over the closing restarts. Managed to come out on the good side of the swing and grabbed a P2.
Sunday Open- NiS – Martinsville
- David – P caught up in mess as usual fast car and never a good finish to show
Official Series
C-OPEN Talladega
- Tony- P-win wow ever see a man cry on a Saturday morning? That was me. Huge shout out to PRS for a great truck set. And shout out to Tyler Williamson for letting me know trucks were at dega. Started 3rd and wasn’t comfortable with the truck for about ½ race. Survived the chaos. GWC restarted 8th pushed the outside line then shot the middle in the right spot and got the win. This is my first win in anything since August of 2022. It’s been a long time and feels great
A Open
- Brad W – P3/9 (Las Vegas). Track is much hotter this week than we ran in NiS. That is a good thing because the cars are not all over top of each other. The first race missed my pitstall and had to restart from the rear. Drove the life out of the tires to get back toward the front. Got lucky with a yellow at the right time for tires and was able to hold on to a P3. The second race was a mess of errors on my part. Self spun in T2 and eventually T4. That forced me to pit and lose 3 laps. Was able to get one lap back being quicker than the leaders and took a wave by for the second. That set me up to get another and the lucky dog. That worked out and once back on the lead lap I was able to make it back into the top 10 as the race finished out.
Special Event – Sebring 12HR
- Brad, Will, William and Jacob – P5. We started mid-pack only to be collected in a mess in Sunset Bend on the start. That would drop us back about 5 spots but put Jacob dealing with lots of slower cars. He would have a real odd self spin coming through sunset that would relegate us to last. From that point on it was all about getting positions back. We did not fuel save for the first half of the race in order to regain track position. Once we had worked our way back to the top 10 we realized that we were on a very off cycle pit strategy. We would gain positions over the last few hours getting as high as P2 but with having to make an additional stop, we knew we would be denied a podium finish. In the end I believe we passed more cars than anyone else and we were happy to grab a top 5. Definitely have figured out that fuel saving is the way to win these until we get safety cars.
- David, Kyle, Tom, Greg – DNF
