NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – Richmond
- Chris- P8. Stayed in the back to miss the carnage. Started to race hard with 40 to go. We actually had a long run until 25 to go. Took 4 fresh ones, missed all the carnage to bring the white Waldron’s Furnitue, iRacers Lounge, Sim Wraps, Priemer Set-ups Chevy home 8th for a great points night.
Sunday Open- NiS – Richmond
- Joe – wrecked out
Sunday Fixed- NiS – Richmond
- Mike- P11- call 5P 28 out of 35 worked my Way up to be as high as P3 was involved in a couple of incidents but nothing too major and kept it fairly clean to finish P 11.
Wednesday Open -NiS – Daytona
- Chris – P 19. Went from 6th to 28th after top lane stalled out and was hung out to dry.
- David – P 19. Gambled on fuel, and couldn’t make it after the 1st GWC failed to complete. Then just dropped out of the pack after having to go to the back cause i didn’t want to take incidents fighting for 17th at the end when you can’t move forward in this car.
- Brad- P10 I had some connection issues early on that forced me to drop to the rear. Once they cleared up it was just a slow drive back to the front. David and I ran together for the second half of the race trying to conserve fuel. When a late yellow came out I came in for fuel and that was enough to survive the 2 GWC that we had. I was pretty conservative as this was my only chance for a start this week. I’ll take a p10 and head on to next week.
Thursday Open- NiS – Daytona
- Mike- P ran a conservative race back half of the top 10 basically restarting with 35 to go. I was in the outside and there was a small gap in front of me. The guy in the bottom tried to come up and wasn’t even clear and just wiped out the entire packtoo much damage we’re done.
- Chris – P 4. Mike, you watched take it from here. Thanks to you’re tik tok viewers for the support.
Official Series
FIA F4 Americas
- Mike – P that harbor started at ninth finish ninth. I spent off once and had to recover some spots.
Mazda cup
- Ellis – P tsukuba- qualified eight out of 12. Finish P5 nice clean race.
Gen 4
- Ellis – P Michigan started 14th out of 21 had a longer run towards the end where I faded hard on tires back to 17th I got a late caution with a green light checker and was able to go from 17th to 10th finish P 10
A Fixed
- Mike. P11- got my way up to the lead and lead the most laps near the end a green white checker. I was the leader on the outside. I didn’t have a good pushing help and we collapsed and fell back to finish P 11. What are you gonna do? You’re only as good as your pusher.
- Started 14 out of 24 top. Got destroyed on lap seven in a large wreck of course I’m the one who can’t drive away totally destroyed and everyone else was able to drive away so I think I finished dead last.
B Fixed
- Mike- Daytona qualified ninth out of 25. With two to go I got to the front of the outside. Lane was in a really good position with a run with help but the guy second on the bottom pulled up in front of me. I had nowhere to go ended up, pushing him to the win, finishing P3
- Had a good race, ran upfront and led some laps near the end. I made a good move on a late restart from second on the bottom to leading the middle lane, and then some Brad Keselowski style moves blocking both lanes for a bit to hold them off to win career win number 114 winner winner, chicken dinner
- Drive to back up the wind but couldn’t do it got in one wreck with seven minutes damage got three minutes of that fixed was kind of in the pack towards the end open for a top 10 but ended up P 14 out of 25
Ring Meister
- Mike – P pro Mazda starting eight out of 18. Got punted right before the green flag. Somebody trying to go side-by-side. I had to stop and let everyone go by recovered back to finish P12
- Started at seven didn’t last long. Got wrecked out early
- Start at nine went off the track when I broke too late fell to the back and then worked my way back up to finish P9 out of 18
IMSA
- Brad W – P3 (GT3 – Road Atlanta) This track has historically been one of my worst tracks. I normally have ok speed but usually wreck the car pushing too hard. I finally put one together completely and walked away with a podium. I really have to credit the time racing in GRR as a help for the officials. I have so much more confidence after running the league race and I think the results are showing it.
- P3 (GT3 – VIR) I finished where I started but I never had enough speed to catch the top two. The bigger issue was the SOF spread between Prototype and GT3. A little over 500 less for the prototypes. This made the overtaking by the faster class extremely sketchy. I had some laps where I would lose 2-3 seconds from faster class cars cooking it into the corner and then either spinning out or running off and trying to rejoin. I know that there is only so much that can be done with the car counts but at VIR its rally compounded because of the track.
- William W- Atlanta P10, P16, P12, P9
- P10 – Running P6 and a guy dives in turn 1 and doesn’t hold his line. Right hooks me. Spin without damage but now 20 seconds behind. Gained a few positions, but P10 finish.
- P16 – Disaster of a race. Quali slow around P12, 3 cars lost it each on their own coming out of T10, thought i made it through but of course 1 of them just keeps their foot in the gas, comes across and gets me in the left rear. Spun but no damage. Get going again but one the cars that caused the first wreck has tried to drive his car around the circut with ton of damage and loses it on the front stretch. Not my best moment but thought he was going to continue to cross the track, but he doesn’t hit the brakes until he’s in the middle of the track. Tbone him and take out 4 other cars. 10 min of non required repairs. Of course iRacing stewards see no wrong.
- P12 – Running 6th in the middle of the race when 2 GTP try to pass going into 10. One on the far inside body checks the other sending him into me. Gives me 4 minutes of wheel damage. Car didn’t want to turn right which is a problem at Road Atlanta
- P9 – Switched to the mustang because I had good testing with it. Finally had a mostly clean race with the exception of a 700IR GTP that is some how in my 3k SOF GT3 split. Clean race, but fast split so I feel like I finished close to where I deserved. Love46 was in this split, finished 5th.
GT Sprint Simucube Series
- William W – P17 – Again just atrocious driving standards. Started P17 but was up to P10 by some spins in front and a couple of passes on pace. Then lap 5 P8 lost it coming out of turn 5 and of course doesn’t hit the brakes, I check up for the yellow, and of course no one behind me does. Get spun and wheel damage. Limped around until I could pit. Wasn’t able to make up any spots. P17.
League / Hosted Races
Majors World Series of Asphalt
- David = P13 Qualified 24th, 25 made top split. Didn’t have great speed but just took care of my car most of the race and stay out of trouble. Near the end of the race a driver claims to have had an equipment failure, as a result came back up on the track and I plowed into him. It conveniently gave his brother a lucky dog, and this guy was 4 laps down and putting himself in places he shouldn’t have been that late in the race anyway. But I did have a fast repair and held on to bring it in 13th in a tough field.
Grass Roots Racing
GTP/GT3 League – Laguna Seca Sprint Race
- William W – P5 – Laguna seca is a track that I’m slow at to begin with and then somehow find pace. Qualified a little slow in P6, messed up last quali lap. Made it to 4th by lap 3 and rode for a while. Jumped P3 in the pits and was catching P2 in the closing laps when I pushed too hard in the corkscrew and spun. Didn’t hit anything but had to make a 3 point turn at the wall. Fell to 6th and got 5th by the finish. Good race but threw away a podium.
- Brad W – P10 – This was a mess on my side. Right at the end of practice I got dropped from the server. I made it back in but was only able to get 3 qualifying laps done. So that had me starting mid-field. Well I ended up spinning on lap one from cold tires. I went all the way to the rear. I was able to start making my way back up through the AM class only to spin again and nudge it into the wall coming out of T6. I pitted and took the fast repair. I was able to make some time up and get back to p10 in class but it was a tough night. Not my best track, wish we had been at VIR.
IROC Challenge Series Season 10 brought to you by PRS Rockingham Race 2
- Kyle P18 started P35. Couldn’t find a good rhythm and just fought the tire wear and getting tight. Got caught up in a few wrecks and just couldn’t rebound. Looking forward to Dover next monday night.
Hosted-
- Ellis – Daytona prototypes at Talladega got wrecked out twice
- In the car at lime rock started P 28 out of 36
