Friday Open – NiS – Daytona 500

Tony -P16 NiS is back and im back. Took a few months off from iracing and i see nothing changed. Except this ran 75 green flag laps from the start which suprised the hell out of me. Screwed up my green flag stops by not realizing where the pit entry cone was along the wall and was caught 65mph at the line. Nothing like spending 50 seconds i. The pits while green. The rash of cautions after the 75 laps got me back on the lead lap and my dumbass did it again with 30 to go. Did finish witj a clean car a lap down
John – P1 WOW. My first ever Daytona 500 win and first ever NIS win. I’ve never felt this kind of emotion winning a race or playing any kind of video game. I screamed so loud my wife came downstairs thinking I was having a heart attack. I’m sure I almost had one. I give credit to team mates Chris Waldron and Justin Pearson. They were spotting me and told me exactly what to do. Without those guys I would have drove it home in 2nd place. This race came down to a G/W/C. I started it in P3 and pushed the first place car around the track. Coming out of turn 4 the high side was clear. I stayed on the bumper of the lead car. I timed is so I could pull out high and make the pass just like Chris and Justin told me to. It worked. I won by .02 seconds. Also want to mention we had some listeners in this race. One kept saying he wanted me to win so he could hear me talk about it on the podcast.

Sunday Open- NiS – Daytona 500

Tony – P22 didn’t speed this time but was taking out with 60 to go while leading a group to the main pack by a bad push

Wednesday Open -NiS – Echo Park Speedway

Justin – P 1
Bobby – P1
David – P wrecked out when guys were going 3 wide while lapping cars
Brad- P18 Started p9 and managed to stay toward the front most of the race. I would end up on a bad pit cycle that would force an extra stop. We had green flag stops after losing a lap, we were running in a group of four cars when passing a slower car I pulled down too soon and clipped the car and hit the wall pretty good. From then on I was caught up in almost every wreck till the end. Not saying anything that I have not said before but this still of racing just does not excite me because I’m never in control.

Thursday Open- NiS – Echo Park Speedway

Mike- P wrecked out. Ran top five just riding took the lead with 45 to go ended up hitting for tires with like 35 to go was the first car on the outside coming back up into the top 10 and got net coated maybe 15 inches away from the bottom guy and put me in the wall hard and too much damage were done.

Brad W – P12 Stated p8 and like NiS managed to stay up front as I feel this is the safest spot. Made it to about half way when I was collected in an accident. Coming through the trioval car two ahead of me asked the car behind him not to push him through the trioval, he was very loose. Said driver ignored and continued to push him which resulted in a huge wreck. Again, I don’t like having my race outcome partially determined by other drivers.
John K. – P17 at Daytona. Had a good run going. On the inside in P12 and the guy ahead of me went up into the second lane so I took his spot. He decided to ignore his spotter and tried to get the low line back and took me out.

A Fixed

Mike- P 16. Got the lead with 20 to go pretty easily never pitted for tires. Had one coming to two or three to go. A caution comes out we go to Greenway checker I get snookered on the white and they go below and above me and then I get dumped and finish P 16.

League / Hosted Races

Grass Roots Racing

GTP/GT3 League – Road America Sprint Race

Brad W – P11 Did not qualify very well. Managed to gain some spots early on but would lose the car in turn 1 after being passed by GTP. I pulled in behind him to get a better apex and either he slowed or I was too quick but I taped him and that caused me to spin. The amount of carnage that proceeded after this was really embarrassing. Multiple drivers ignored the yellow flag and were still shifting gears as they plowed into the wreck. That cost me many spots and would gain a few as the race wound down.
