Introducing NASA Rallycross Challenge

At the expo we met members of the ASNtv youtube channel. We asked them to send info and updates as the season rolls on. They about to start a new season.

The 35th NASA Rallycross Challenge begins Monday, Sept 28th at 8pm EST, starting with the lower split Contenders division, followed by the Supercars at 9pm EST.

Kevin Garcia won the championship in Contenders last season, and has been promoted to the top split – it is an open goal for the Championship.

Evan MacFarlane won his fifth Supercars championship last season, and wasn’t expected to enter in 2026B – but the entry blank was filed, and we wonder who will be able to topple the Californian kid.

Wednesday Open -NiS – Kansas

Mike- P 4-was pretty quick through the first part of the race, got up to P2 at one point, but then got involved in a few incidents, even spun on my own a couple times near the end. Had some damage, got it repaired. There was a green white checker and I had new tires and they didn’t, and I came up through there to finish P4.
Chris – P6
David – P 6, moderate speed with good long run, got by some wrecks at the end
Brad- P wrecked out early again

Thursday Open -NiS – Kansas

Mike- P wrecked out. Had a good run going during the first green run I ran from 22nd up to as high as fourth, but I had slipped at one point back to ninth and a guy behind me just went straight into the back of me and drilled me and put me in the wall 5 1/2 minutes damage. I parked it.

Mike- P lotus 79 : qualified P10. Got the P4 by the end of lap one, then got to third and was battling for second on the white down the long straight side by side. He didn’t give me room and ran me off, and I wrecked hard. DNF.
- So then started 10th, work my way through the field up to second. He had about 2 to 3 second lead. I wasn’t catching him. He was fast. I was pushing really hard. Well, the pushing eventually brought him to make a mistake. I was able to take the lead. He wasn’t far behind me though, and we were side by side at the end, and I just break deeper than the rest of them, and I take it winner winner chicken dinner. Number 165

Production car challenge by Simlab

Ellis – P DNF at Monza. Toyota GR 86 started in the middle of a 40 car field, made it a few laps, but I eventually got wrecked out when somebody spun in front of me and I t-boned him. Dnf

Sprint Car

Mike– P3– at Southern National Motorsports Park started 15 after the first few cautions, I was up to fifth. I got the lead at some point and led some laps until I hit the wall by myself, damaged the car, fell eventually to finish P3. Feel like I gave up that win.

League / Hosted Races

Grass Roots Racing

GTP/GT3 League – Road Atlanta Endurance Race

Brad W – P11 Started deep in the field after spinning on lap 1 of qualifying. Managed to avoid some early mess and then just tried to settle in and take what I could. Long race and happy with a p11. Really fast guys in this league.

Creator Series -SGE 2026

Mike – The F4 in the rain at VIR – p8 – Started p5 got to p4 early but later in lap 1 got kinda ran off down to inside. Fell back to 9th made it back up to finish p8… So cool to be there and congratulate the winner brendensuperstar – he was so stoked he did a cartwheel…. We had to log in to our own iracing accounts and I could not figure out if my password had LL’s or 1’s… So i had to reset it, then none of the controls were mapped had to do all of that, and by then i had missed qually.
David – wheel wouldn’t work. Didn’t own the car. Miss the grid

Ellis – P7 carb cup at Charlotte started 12th, finished seventh. Great racing for 2 or 3 laps and then we’re single file and nobody passes nobody just like real NASCAR
