NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – Martinsville

Mike- P wrecked out. I was doing pretty good until there was a big wreck near Pete. I was able to sneak by, but I think the pace car was coming out at the same instant and I got by it and didn’t realize it and ended up with a 42nd hold penalty under a green lost three laps and rode around for a while, but eventually got destroyed and just parked it
David – P4, stayed in the back for 200 laps, worked my way up. Managed to only get 8x and drove up to 4th.

Sunday Open- NiS – Martinsville

David – P16, top split, started in pack until first 4x, then stayed in back to about 80 to go. We actually only had 19 cautions in this one, and was top split.

Wednesday Open -NiS – Homestead

Mike- P 7 started first. First race on motion. Add some laps early, but then had some problems. Got in a couple wrecks. One was my doing. I had 7 and a half minutes damage. Decided to get it repaired on all the different cautions. Eventually all repaired to laps down. I get two lucky dogs in a row back to the lead lap, drove as high as third, but then the car got tight, faded back to finish P seven. Will take it
Kyle – P wrecked out
David – P16, should have had a top 10, good long run speed, but late caution then caught up in someones mess, then had someone who never hold his line come across my nose.

Thursday Open -NiS – Homestead

Tony – P16 started out ok than was clipped while driving past a wreck killing my right front. Had a hard time driving it. Almost gave up and was even 4 laps down at 1 point trying to fix the 7 minutes optional. I got it all fixed and also back on the lead lap and high as 3rd. With about 40 to go had 2 assholes feuding for a spot wreck and killed me again with 5 minutes optional.
David – P3, robbed by the cautions. Sitting 1 pit stop from the end, running 1st for quite a while, setup for long runs, caution comes out with 100 to go. Then the way the fall I end up loosing track position to guys to stayed out. Final Yellow 50 to go i speed, fell all the way to the back including wave by cars, 21st on the board, Drove hard back up to 3rd, but had to much to make up to catch 1st.

David – P1 again, 2 in a row at Le Mans

The Catterham 420 R cup

Mike – P DNF Oschersleben. Started eight out of 15 and top split got my way to P5 by the end of lap one, eventually to P3, and then the guy behind me attempted a pass. I left him a lane and a half on the inside, yet he came up and took me out anyway. DNF

BMW M2 cup at summit Point Raceway

Ellis – P DNF qualified seventh out of 11. Got up to P3, but then hit the curb wrong and stuffed it in the wall DNF

Formula VEe

Mike. Tsukuba. Qualified 8 out of 11. Got the P5, but then got wrecked out because I couldn’t shift the thing and got ran over
- Then auto blip back on qualified pole position out of nine. Call the second and then third with side by side through the long sweeper and basically ran me off the road, and I wrecked real hard. DNF

Formula 1600.

Mike – P 1 tsukuba- started fourth out of 11, eventually took the lead, winner, winner, chicken dinner, beat the field by over six seconds.
- And started third out of 11. Quickly got the second, but then about a lap later got ran over from behind and dumped into the wall. DNF

F-4 Fixed.

Mike – P DNF at Monza qualified 13th out of 24. Got up to eight, fell back to 15, drove it back up to ninth, and then wrecked out with a ton of incidents Dnf

NASCAR Tour modified at Southern National qualified 10th out of 14

Ellis- P wrecked out with five to go, lost laps, but got two lucky dogs was running fifth when a lapper wanted to race me and the guy in front of me and rest us up and I knocked the right front off. BNF

Draft master

Mike – P DNF Gen4 grand national. had a good run going in the pack up until 2 to go, and then the entire pack wrecked DNF. Pretty fun racing this car. It’s hold the breakdown to not run into the guy in front of you while keeping the gas down 100% to keep the revs up

League / Hosted Races

Grass Roots Racing

GTP/GT3 League – Motegi Sprint Race

William W – P5 – I’ve raced here a few times but definitely need more laps to have true pace. Didn’t do well in quali, but made a couple passes. Got up to 5th with about 15 min remaining and set to running Weaver down. Made it to his bumper but traffic kept it from being a fight. I’ll take a 5th with as poorly as I’ve been driving.
Brad W – P12 Started towards the rear because I suck at qualifying. Avoided some early spinners but had a great battle towards the end. League racing is so much better than Officials at times.

Elbows Out Racing League (LMP2 and GT3 Wednesday Nights)

William- P15 (P7) – This was disappointing as I normally have pace here, but my lack of time on the sim lately is really showing. Got on an hour early to practice but still lacked pace. I was massively overdriving the car. Started P12, got bumped off the track in T1 and lost 3 spots. Made a couple passes but was still 10th or so about 20 min in. Pit early to make a wing change because I loaded the safe setup and was getting walked on the straights. About halfway through the race I finally figured out what I was doing so wrong driving, stopped overdriving the car, and was the fastest car on the track for the 2nd half of the race, but the hole was too much to get too far forward. I was catching 6th place who had dumped me earlier in the race on the last lap. Spun the car in the last turn trying to get around him after he parked the apex. Went across the pit entry line and got a black flag.
Brad – P6 (Mexico City) I hate this place. Had an early spin through the esses. I think this is one of the worst tracks for multi-class racing. The min speed is so close in the corners regardless of classes. First time racing with this league and boy are these guys fast.

- Then, first time in motion, qualified eighth, finish P2
