QR2 – this is a fundamental change to the ecosystem and our opportunity to make major improvements to the quick release. While we (and BMW) are satisfied with our QR design currently being used on the M4 GT3 race car, it has been a challenge to bring this design to mass production for our full range of steering wheels and wheel bases (including a ‘Lite’ version for our CSL Series). The extended development time has ensured the best possible future for the Fanatec quick release. The latest pre-production samples are performing great, but we will only provide release dates and pricing information when we are ready.
Wheel Base production – many of you have noticed we have been ‘sold out’ of some of our wheel bases for some time. The demand has been very high, and our production has been stalled by component shortages. We will continue to work hard to address this bottleneck, but the effect of the semiconductor crisis continues to be felt across the industry, and I can confirm that the CSL DD will not be available again until Q1 2023.
Podium Steering Wheel Bentley GT3 – the development of this wheel has also been affected by the chip shortage. Although this product was already used very effectively in the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, and its mechanical and structural design is well-proven, we were unsatisfied with the performance of the display, and we have used the extra time to completely re-engineer the electronics. We now plan to launch the wheel in the first half of 2023.
Now for the best news of the day. Despite the supply delays, we were recently able to secure all components for the Podium Racing Wheel F1, and run the production line at full capacity. Because we know it will be difficult to get your hands on our entry-level bases until next year, we decided to offer the Podium Racing Wheel F1 at a reduced price for a limited time. (We would like to offer this price until the CSL DD returns, but we expect a high demand, so let’s say ‘while stocks last’.)

“It was really cool,” Kirwan said of Earnhardt Jr. presenting the trophy. “It was also awesome before the race even started Dale came up to all of us and chatted for a bit. He came up to me and talked about the stream and everything like that. It was cool for him to be there and come support it.
“Of course the trophy is really nice, he did a really good job on it. To have his name on it is cool and even after he stuck around, and we chatted with him. He took me and Rajah Caruth up on Glory Road and checked out one of his dad’s old cars, one of Richard Petty’s old cars. He even got me to hop into one of Petty’s old cars at one point which was cool. It was just cool to hang out and talk sim-racing and the event and everything.”
In addition to the trophy, Kirwan will also take home the $100,000 prize. He has no plans for the money just yet, but he did say his spotter, crew chief, and others who supported him will be getting a cut of the winnings.
One particular storyline from the event was the revelation of Zalenski’s severe scoliosis, a condition that he’s dealt with his whole life, never before something he’s felt the need to bring up as he’s competed for the title five times in the last six years.
“Something I never talked about was my condition because it’s never been relevant,” Zalenski said. “I was born with very severe scoliosis, so I had surgery about 10 years ago. It was like 200-degree curves in the spine, if I didn’t get surgery, I wouldn’t be able to be here racing for sure.
“My lungs will be squished because it just gets worse. I had surgery and the best I could do is two 50-degree angles. Some of the spine is metal nails and screws. I’m all patched up. With all that considered, it’s crazy that I’m doing this. I always wanted to be a NASCAR driver. It just wasn’t in the cards for me.”
Zalenski said it was only the second time that he’s ever flown on an airplane, opting not to travel to eNASCAR Media Day back in 2020 due to the condition. While it wasn’t the rig he was used to racing in, it was good enough to show the most speed in the first half of the title race and ultimately finish second.

Series Updates: IMSA and European Sprint/Endurance Series
With the announcement of this car coming to the iRacing service, many have asked how we will implement it into our different series.
Please note that these updates are upon the arrival/availability of the BMW LMDh and are not a guarantee of any specific release date*
European Sprint/Endurance Series
Once available, the BMW LMDh will replace the LMP1 class as the top tier of this series. The Dallara P217 LMP2 and the GTE class will remain as is.
iRacing IMSA/ IMSA Endurance
Once available, the BMW LMDh will join this series. In order to make room, the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 will come out of these series. It will still be available to race in both the GT Sprint and GT Endurance Series.
Anyone who has purchased the Porsche 919 or the Audi R18 within 90 days of the release date of the BMW LMDh will receive a $5 credit. Anyone who has purchased either car within 1 year of the BMW LMDh release will receive a $10 credit.

Simucube posted a video talking about their new Active pedal
I see this as a multi stage process.
Let the user define a static profile for there pedals that lets them tweak the feel and throw of each pedal without messing around with springs, dampers, and stops.
The pedal software grabs what car the player is driving from telemetry and let the player map a predefined profile to each car so the pedals change from car to car.
Let the pedal software run canned effects based on limited telemetry from the games.
Allow game developers to directly set there own profiles based on real life information from the car. The player should always be able to override this with there own profile if they so choose.
Allow game developers to send high frequency effects to the pedals that play on top of the static profile. This would mirror part or all of the LFE/TrueForce effects so you can feel the engine vibrate and so on. This is a step above 3 in that it can be tweaked by each developer to better match the game or to use internal data not available to telemetry.
Allow game developers to dynamically change the profile as time progresses. This is where we could add in brake fade by slowly moving points around on the profile.
Go all in and allow the game developer full control over the pedal so they actively control the feedback loop.
Everything up through stage 3 is probably already implemented and mostly rests on Simcubes shoulders to implement for all games.
Stage 4 is not technically hard but it is a lot of bookkeeping to implement on the game developers side. We would need to dig up information about the physical pedals for every car we ever made and in a lot of cases we could not go back and touch the real car again to measure pedal force or throw if we don’t have that information. Going forward of course it is just a matter of coming up with a simple rig to test the pedals out and recording the profile.
Stage 5 is probably not that hard to implement. We have seen wheels moving towards high frequency effects for a while now, like the Logitech TrueForce effect. Once a game supports one of those effects it is relatively easy to redirect part or all of them on to the pedals. Adding it in at first is not trivial at all, but once you have it then it is easy to repurpose.
Stage 6 would allow us to model slow changing events such as brake fade or a loss of brake fluid pressure without having to fully implement a proper feedback loop with the physics like we do with wheels.
Stage 7 is the dream, but that would take significant effort on our end (and all other game developers as well) to implement. We would need to make a new dynamic physics model for the pedals and update it fast enough that we can accurately simulate motion in real time I’m not even sure it is 100% possible.
The big question is will this be popular enough that developers feel it is justified to implement. If the price is right I suspect we could see this really take off, but if the cost is closer to motion platforms than DD wheels we will probably be stuck at stage 3 for quite a while.

NASCAR iRacing Series
Friday Open: Martinsville
Stephen- broken toe line
Kyle – broken toe link
Tom – broken toe link
Mike- p10 – got involved in some wrecks that we’re not my doing including getting completely ass packed well after the Caution came out including getting spun around sideways and stopped for no yellow came out with over five minutes damage in three laps down. I waited for the lucky dogs and they eventually happened and I got to the leadlap. Then I got the dreaded drive-through penalty on the first green white checkered on the second green white checkered. I got the Lucky dog so on the final restart just hold onto it from P 11 one guy got black flag do not put me to the top 10 I’ll take it after a very tough week.
Sunday Open
Steve – P 25th,first 38 laps not one green flag lap. I couldn’t take it any more.
Wednesday Open: Phoenix
Hall – p1, Started mid pack, was slowly creeping up into top 10, then horribly missed my pit to go all the way back, worked by way back up eventually to 3rd. On a restart leader spun tires, which cause a weird chain reaction that resulting in me not getting told by my spotter coming back on the track from the dog leg that it was three wide, plus net code and I get knocked down low, but gather it up in around 25th. Then there is a big wreck right in front of me. I’m creeping through it and still one of them rolls into my left rear. 1 min damage, fixed eventual. I tell my self there still more time than the A open to race. Caution comes with 62 to go and I say this is in my favor. With 10 to go the leader is 3.5 seconds ahead of me. But they fade hard on last 10 laps, I lead the last 5 and take 2rd win of season. 150th overall win

Tom D – pretty much p4 all night, but got shuffled at the end.
Stephen- p wrecked out
Mike-p1- started P 20 quickly made it up to fourth by the end of the first run then a long green flag run. I went to Short pit. The caution came out while on pit Road I was able to come back around and beat the leaders before they got off pit Road and maintain the lead marched on basically ran top three. Most of the night ended up leading the most laps. I really hard to fight for it at the end. One guy stayed within one second the whole way, but it stayed green and I took home the win! That’s my 87th career win. That’s four wins for me this year Bristol dirt, new Atlanta, Charlotte, Roval, and the Phoenix finale
Official Series
League / Hosted Races
Hosted –
Ellis -Hosted. RUF and 87s at tally. Came from the back to the front then got wrecked on the caution came from the back to the front again was leading on the white and got dumped for the win. P4.
GEN five at Talladega started for the back out to the front twice but got wrecked out near the end
GEN five at IRacing superspeedway starting 18. P4
Dw12 at Michigan really fun racing upfront three-way for the lead several labs in a row before we wrecked.
Supercars that Michigan was in the lead pack going into green flag stops came off pit Road leading the race some fool who didn’t pit for gas runs out and decide he’s gonna block. The exit of pit laying onto the backstretch. Well it’s really only one lane why’d I tried to Sweek by, but it didn’t work, and he wrecked all the leaders
87 at Talladega

After much discussion combined with looking at the data and what’s on the horizon, iRacing has decided to have the Formula Renault 2.0 take the season off for Season 1, 2023.
After that time we will reevaluate the future of how the car is used on the service.
As we continue to solidify our internal plans for future vehicle content , we will work to develop series options that promote the best participation across a variety of racing classes and disciplines.

NASCAR iRacing Series
Friday Open: Vegas
Rochette – wrecked out
Stephen- PGA BS
Adam – Wrecked Out
Donnie – Wrecked out – limped home, p26
Tom – Wrecked out – limped home
Greg – was leading on the gwc and lost connection
Mike – started p24 but quickly worked my way fwd – stayed between 3rd to 12th basically, always pitted for fuel when others didnt to make sure i didnt get caught out… I will take the podium! p3!
Sunday Open
Stephen – P1 baby!!!! Me and @Tom Dreiling should of been 1 2 in some way. But a bad caution caught him on pit road put him a lap down and never got another yellow. He was leading before and during stops to.
Steve – Started 25th. Was a caution filled race with 9 cautions for 36 Laps. Got to 3 taking Mikes advice of trying right sides only. Car was good on 2 tires. On the 2nd to last caution had to pee, pulled in went a lap down and finished 19th.
Sunday fixed
Mike – early in the race got taken three while I was in the outside. I got pushed to the wall 10 minutes damage in the finishing the race P 30.
Tyler – P14 after starting 20th. Decent race but the aggressiveness going 3 wide was not pretty. Passing was difficult and you really had to lean on someone to pass. Race ending was interesting as the yellow came out as the leader got the white. Was hoping the race would have finished then. On to Homestead.
Wednesday Open: Homestead
Hall – p 15, sloppy race, wrong coin flip on caution timing, but stayed out of the wrecks
Tyler – P 14, too many cautions. Had one decent green flag run which helped the car set. Worked the high line most of the race. Was able to race with teammate Kyle for a good bit. Always a good time with the team.
Stephen T -p2
Mike-p lap one I get loose and spin out all by myself and people wreck around me no damage. Restarted 13th got up to count on lab 17 I got loose again and destroyed the car.
Steve – Didn’t qualify, started 20th. 6 cautions at the start of the race then a green flag run for 54 laps. Was 3rd when the caution came out, went in for tires with G/W/C restart. Some guys stayed out and restarted 6th. Ended up 2nd by a foot. Fun Race.
Thurs Open
Ellis – p. 18- goal was to finish the race and I did do that. I ran as high as a eigth. The people who put it on the first caution at sixth lap could make it out one more stop. I didn’t think they would be able to so I didn’t stop it ended up screwing me later.
Donnie – P7, Q15. Good middle and long run speed. Race was uneventful for the most except for lappers trying to win the race on every lap.
Official Series
Ellis – Chris Maguire hosted- super cars at Michigan. Great race I missed the big wreck ended up P5.
Skip barber at Sonoma got clipped from a wreck in lap one had to pit for a meatball flag to get my fast repair and came out nine out of 11 Worked my way up to P5!!! my fastest lap was pretty quick for me, but I’m still three seconds off the leader.

When the green flag drops Casey Kirwain and Vicente Salas lead the field into turn 1 There’s early trouble for Graham Bowlin and Michael Conti. Bowlin gets into the wall and Conti has nowhere to go. They both save it, but the 48 has some damage for sure. On lap 6 Matt Bussa moves his way into the top 10 On Lap 11 he is joined in the top 10 by Keegan Leahey and Zach Novac
By lap 12 Matt Bussas has moved his way into the top 5 and is looking good. Up front Kasey Kirwan continues leading with 12 laps in and 88 to go. Lap 16 brings out the first caution as Darik Bourdeau and Jimmy Mullis make contact. Bourdeau gets spun around, but gets no big damages Malik Ray will lead the field back to green because he didn’t pit, with Casey Kirwan alongside.
They go three wide for the lead on the restart with a new leader on lap 22, Steve Wilson On lap 31, Mitchel deJong makes his way into the top 5, until… the next caution on lap 34 Three years ago, Zach Novak and Kegan Lehey had a memorably clean finish for the championship, but this race they can’t avoid contact collecting Bobby Zalenski, Whitt and LaPradd, but no one with serious damage. Seven cars stay out and the rest pit.
After the restart we see Dylan Ault and Bobby Zalenski battle at the top with Zalenski getting the jump and the lead at Homestead. On lap 42 champion hopeful Steve Wilson makes his way back into the top 5 At this point Graham Bowlin is the lowest running playoff driver, but he also has the best drop-race to fall back on with an 11th place finish at Bristol By lap 45 Steve Wilson has done a great job driving his way to the top of the field
Mithchel deJong is not giving up easily, and retakes the lead from Wilson as they go side-by-side on lap 52. With 40 laps to go there’s a possibility of this becoming a fuel milage race the the end. With 33 to go, green flag pit stops begin After the pit cycle the top running order is
Steven Wilson
Casey Kirwan
Colin Keetster
Michal Conti
Mitchel deJong
Femi Olat
Malik Ray
Vicente Salas
Michael Guest
With the laps counting down to 25 to go, Steven Wilson continues to show the way as he looks to win his way itno the championship finale, if he can hold on. But with 20 to go it’s a new leader as Casey Kirwan Grabs the top spot. Michael Guest is moving forward and into the third with 11 to go. With 8 to go Graham Bowlin get by Michael Conti as we watch the live points change in real time until a caution hits with 7 to go, changing everything. Parker Retzlaff hit the wall on his own, slides down to the infield and brings out a mysterious caution.
Everyone comes to pit road, but Steven Wilson wins the race off pit road after taking 2 tires. So with the late restart we have the leaderboard as follows…
Steven Wilson
Casey Kirwan
Michael Guest
Collin Keester
Graham Bowlin
Nick Ottenger
Mitchel deJong
Femi Olat
Dylan Duvall
Matt Bussa The race is all bunched up with a natural GWC to close out the race. A caution comes out right after the restart with Garrett Lowe and Corey Vincent getting involved when Derek Justis went to block and pushed a driver all the way to the apron and got turned and back up into traffic
The playoff picture looks like this, Conti needs to beat Bowlin by eight spots to advance – and it needs to be a third place or better as Bowlin has the 11th place drop in his pocket. Wilson, Kirwan, Guest and Bowlin lead for GWC#1 Good jump for Wilson on the next restart and trouble comes out again! Logan Clampitt and Vicente Salas are involved! The 5 went low on Clampitt to make it 5 wide caused him to move up into the guy above, and they pile up We also now have Nick Ottinger in the mix – If Nick finishes second and Bowlin loses a spot here, he can be in. GWC number 2 and Wilson gets a good jump again. We finally get the white flag and Guest tries to run down Wilson, but can’t get to him, Steven Wilson is your race winner! His series best 4th win of the season! Punching his ticket tot the finale at Phoenix
Grahm Bowlin crashes in 4 on the white flag lap when Nick Ottinger runs out of gas into Turn 3 – Graham Bowlin gets knocked out… BUT he has a P11 to fall back on – He was eight points ahead of Michael Conti – Conti got 6th, he’ll miss by three points The Drop did have an effect. If there was no drop, Conti would have been in and Bowlin would have been out.

NASCAR iRacing Series
Friday Open: ROVAL
Hall – p9, first half of race was more fun as I had close by drivers
Greg -wrecked out
Mike – qualified p4. Eventually cycle to the lead through Green flag stops. I ended up spinning on my own once and lost about eight seconds of track position and fell back to P5. I gradually made my way back up to P2 at that point he was 10 seconds ahead of me. I drove up to within six seconds of the Leader by the end, P2.
Wednesday Open:
Hall – p wrecked in un avoidable now down from 4000 to 3300 irating
Kyle P – P5 started 7th and fell back fast. Fought a loose car until about lap 70 and then the missile came alive and it was just on rails. Worked my way back from mid 20’s to finish a top 5.
Tony R – P shitty race. Had a horrible set was just loose all over. With 25 to go my car wasnt the only thing that was loose. Stomach was a rumbling and just couldnt hold it so pitted and got out of the rig in record speed. That was fun
Mike-p13 – super super loose. The first run ended up spinning and running dead last eventually caught a caution, but still struggled on every runs route. The race where I would spin it falls is the last car in the lead loud with some carnage at the end, I ended up getting a few more spots up to pee 13. the set certainly did not agree with me.
Thurs Open
Ellis – p11- ran a totally different set and it was completely stable. Much better. We had only one caution it loud 13 I decided to stay out and try to save a set of tires, but then we had no cautions from that point forward I got shuffled at one point back to 24th. Drove it back up to 11th before the first green flag stop. stayed consistent through the second run and ended up running fourth before I had a pit again with 15 to go for fuel and right side only. car was really fast with just two tires and I drove it back up to 11 from 21st. got screwed on the fuel strategy kicking myself for that for sure.
Adam –
Steve –
Rochette – P6 ran a better set and made sure i went to the bathroom before i raced. Led laps early but thightness settled in before the first pit stop. Made adjustments and was just cruising when a dumbass decided he wanted to turn right across my nose and me in the wall. Little bit of damage hindered me being up front so il settle with a 6th
Official Series
Ellis – Chris Maguire hosted Kia Optima at Daytona P2.
87 cars with the Porsche rough cup at Talladega, wrecked out
Carof tomorrow at Talladega – wrecked
SPIKER – Nascar B Open – Las Vegas P18

Beginning with the 2022 Season 4 build, four track layouts will be removed from the [Legacy] Daytona International Speedway – 2008 package and moved into the paid Daytona International Speedway package. These 2008 layouts include Oval, Road Course, Moto, and Short. As a result the Daytona International Speedway package will combine for a total of nine configs (Oval, Road Course, NASCAR Road, Moto, Short, Oval – 2008, Road Course – 2008, Moto – 2008, Short – 2008).
The Rallycross configs that used to be part of the [Legacy] Daytona International Speedway – 2008 package (Rallycross Short and Rallycross Long) will not be affected by this change and will remain as included free content with an iRacing membership. This package will be renamed to Daytona Rallycross.
iRacing will also be adding multiple pieces of all-new content to its list of included cars and tracks for members in coming builds.
With the launch of Season 1, 2023, we will be making some format adjustments to these 2 series. The goal for these format updates is to provide clarity to the North American open wheel ladder while also promoting an increase in participation.
USF2000 will also be switching to the normal every other hour schedule format with the Indy Pro 2000 running opposite hours. This will make it much easier to back to back these races.
The most prominent change will be the alignment of both series schedules moving forward. Both series will run the same tracks on the same weeks mirroring the real world “Support Series” format. We are also adjusting the scheduling guidelines to require 2 ovals and 10 road courses. Our team will be working with the community managers of both series in the coming weeks to form a plan on how the community will vote for schedules.
Other minor changes will be that both series will be lap based moving forward. We will still target 15 minute races for the USF2000 series while targeting 25 minute races for the Indy Pro 2000 series. USF2000 will continue to use fixed setups while the Indy Pro 2000 will remain an open setup series.
We will also be announcing an updated naming convention for the series to make it more apparent that they are supporting one another.
I’ve been thinking on this decision for awhile now. I’ve asked many people close to me what their thoughts are on it. It took several months, but I’ve come to a final decision.
iRacing.com is pleased to announce that on September 20th, 2022, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts granted iRacing.com’s motion to dismiss the patent lawsuit filed against it.
“We are very excited with this result,” said iRacing President Anthony Gardner. “It is a big win for us, and by extension the whole industry, which has been working hard to create dynamic track racing surfaces for the racing game community for years and years. The opinion sends a clear message to patent trolls.”
N Wilkesboro – Further thoughts on what he was thinking when they scanned the track. Racing in real life was not even a thought process…
What New Projects are you working on with iRacing? Late Model stocks getting a fresh scan, expanding on different manufacturers like the 87 pontiac, street stock we have camaro, but let’s get the other makes involved… Bring the wagon legends cars…
Favorite Car and Track Combo – Loves the skippy… talks about skippy at VIR, because that is all they had back in the day… I have a list of short tracks in his phone, hey this is the track we need to add…
Whats Story behind COT Scan? He basically had Tony jr send over a hendrick car no questions asked, and he just had iracing scan it, no permission was seeked from Rick, or Chevy, or anyone, we just scanned it… I had to get motor torque info through ‘back channels’ so to speak….
What Does It Mean to You to still race as a member in special events? This is my passion its all the free time that I have… When I am in a race I want the same experience as all the other drivers… The pool of drivers has gotten so much larger i have been relegated to a mid pack status….

According to Corsair, they do not currently have any “ATX 3.0” but their current, Type 4 CORSAIR PSUs will be compatible with 40 series GPUs using the PCI-e 8-pin power to 12VHPWR connector that will be included with the 40 series graphics cards.

Rochette P20 had a dipshit stop before pitroad when i was pitting giving me a passing under yellow and just couldn’t get my lap back
Greg – wrecked out
Donnie – P8, Q4
Mike – dnf- had a great race actually led. The most laps was leading on the outside with three to go had a guy behind me. That said he was going to stay with me via private message on the back stretch going into three he decided to go low and leave me out, and when he did he got hooked by the guy on the bottom and a wrecked us all.
Sunday Open
Rochette –P4 hung out with a couple of guys that we just stayed 1-3 whole race tried to make a move on last lap lost a spot
Hall – p8, to few cars could make the low line fast, so every restart was a race to the wall
Steve -p21 Started 31st ran in the back most of the race got up to 3rd around lap 86 and tried to avoid a wreck and got doored by my poor decision to split 2 cars and ended up with a black flag by going thru the grass on the front stretch and going thru the pits. Ended parking it be a lap down and not able to make up any spots so I didnt get any more incident points on the final 4 laps.
Sunday fixed
Mike -p20 – Ran top 5 and led some laps, early on we had a great 7 car break away 4 second lead, then after gf stops, 11 second breakaway…eventually cautions started happening and i got involved but little damage – kept working my way up but got completely destroyed on the white and could not finish.
Tyler p30
Steve p12 – Started 27th went 2 laps down after entering closed pit. Mike said keep going, got the 2 laps back. Led the last two laps with a crash with one to go and the caution came out. Ended up getting wrecked on the white flag lap in a 4 huge crash and my car was so damaged I couldnt make it across the start finish line.
Wednesday Open: Charlotte
Hall – p 17, Top split, only got my spots on survival
Ellis – started P 14. Got to p eight by the end of lap one. eventually I got to p five by lap 13. I barely touch the wall and it killed the car. He would not roll at all head to toe to pit lane. Eight minutes Required damage came back out with eight laps down about 20th work my way back up to 16th.
Thurs Open
Ellis – p1 – qualified p4- got to third pretty quick and battled with second all the way to the pitstop. I got by him right before the stop. meanwhile the leader, who had gapped us, crashed out and wrecked. After pitstops I inherited the lead with a 14 second gap. Was able to maintain the gap until the end of the race. So that’s three NASCAR wins this year Bristol, dirt, Atlanta, and Charlotte Roval…. My 86 career win
Official Series
Ellis – F2000 Lanier. Was running P8 moving forward. When I got tagged from the inside and spun, with no cautions, I fell back to 12Th. Then a few laps later somebody spot in front of me and came back across the track and collected me and broke off both front corners of the car DNF.
Skip barber at Mount panorama. Bathurst. Rect in qualify not enough time to even try again. Started P6 eventually got to P two and was within 2 1/2 seconds of the leader when I caught a lap car, and he basically stopped right in front of me, and I drove right through him. Dnf.
SPIKER -.Nascar B Open P7, Super Late’s P9, Street Stock P9
League / Hosted Races
Hosted –
Ellis – Chris McGuire hosted supercars at Michigan P 12 came from dead last up to running ninth got hit and had the save of my life.
Brian- crashed out last one. Finished the race though.
DP’s at tally. Wheel barrow race. Ffb turning off ruined my race.

iRacingaussie asked us two questions we will be happy to answer
@iRacersLounge love the pod, best in sim racing by far! 2 questions for this week’s show. Post Texas do you think pressure is building on Nascar to run a reduced power package for the next Gen cars? Potentially that crap low power package we had?
@iRacersLounge Question 2: Would you recommend A,B and C open or the fixed series, if you were looking to increase your irating? fixed = less time and less of a loss when wrecked, open = potentially more patience but higher gains/losses for good/bad results. Thanks team 😊👍🏼🇦🇺

NASCAR iRacing Series
Friday Open: Texas
Hall – p15, 1 yellow, but came while lap down for green pit. Might have gotten closer to 10th if no yellow
Donnie – P13, Q15
Sunday Open
Hall – Punted with 20 to go while leaving a lane open and holding my line. Welcome to
Sunday fixed
Mike -p6 – I don’t know how to describe that early first run tonight in Fixed, after 10 or so labs every single person was hospital loose out of two. I mean loose loose loose, super loose hang on for your life. Know I just mean literally everyone in the room we all pitted for tires the second run it was like nothing ever happened. We all stuck like glue third run. It started getting loose again after 15 but that first run was weird. I got some short runs at the end. We had enough tires and I was able to make a run forward.
Tyler p11?
Stephen – p4
Wednesday Open: Tally
Hall – p wreck on gwc, no where to go
Ellis – Pole! 12 teammates in TeamSpeak to run the event. Lost force feedback around Lap twenty . I could not get it back on finally a caution around lap 30. I had to pit and turn the wheel off and turn it back on and went to dead last. I eventually got to the front all the way from the back and led a bunch of laps before caution with 24 to go, now we are good on fuel running P3 for the restart. With some more laps in with a restart it was eight to go the wreck in front of me, and I get clipped and destroyed. dnf
Kyle P – P2 Started up in P7 and just kept it clean. Got to the front at the halfway mark. And had Tom Dreiling pushing me until we had a green flag pit. Came out of the pits with 7 to go and Tom was to nice and let me get back ahead of him to hold the lead. Came to 1 to go and P3 and P4 decided to make a run on the top side and I went to block but started to leave Tom Behind so I dropped back down to pick up tom and on the front we decided to go high and try for the win but just ran out of track Came home with a P2 and Tom with a P3. I led the most laps with 43 and set the fastest lap at a 48.974 finishing 0.0092 behind the lead and Tom and P4 finished tied 0.156 behind the leader. Thank you again to Tom for pushing me around Dega. iRacing farming has began again this week. 2500 IR is the goal by sunday.
Tony R – P7 got clipped and damaged early in the race sp just putted along. Ended up getting fuel for last caution before the gwcs kicked in. Plenty of guys ran out of fuel at the white so just zoomed by – `
Steve – Did not qualify, started 27th and had two team mates in the split. Bobby Jonas and Brian Maccubin. This was my first race with Tifosi and first race ever in NIS. Rode around in the back thru a few cautions. On the 3rd to last caution on lap 58 I went in and got just fuel with Brian and Bobby with around 40 to go. We figured we could save fuel and finish to the end. Another caution came out on lap 85 and all 3 of us stayed out gaining great track position with Brian running 1st, myself 2nd and Bobby was 5th. I was going to push Brian to the win when the yellow came out on lap 94 about a ¼ mile from the start finish line. Brian restarted 1st and I started on the outside in 2nd with Bobby starting I think 5th. Mike Ellis was spotting for us and on the last lap Brian was behind me with a car in front of me and a car to the outside. Mike told me to shoot the middle, which I did and Bobby punted me over the line for the Win! Thanks to Mike, Bobby and Brian for all the help. I was definitely outside my comfort zone as I have run an official race in years. Thanks for allowing me on Team Tifosi!
Thurs Open
Ellis – p13- Ran top 10 pretty much all race led a bunch of laps. About 15 to go. They wreck in front of me while I was run. An eighth and I got collected was seven minutes damage. Surprisingly the car was still fairly fast and I brought it home.
Rochette -P issed off got outside pole. Just did my thing till got through a wreck and a asshat just doors me for no reason (sorry mike if i hurt your virgin ears with my very loud hot mic obscenities) Got Damage fixed and still had good speed while 8 to go and was just taken out by some **************************** ending my race
Official Series
Ellis – F 2000 at Oulton park – qualified P8 out of 16. Got wrecked out in lab one. I actually went into the grass to avoid an incident end up in the back came around towards the end of the lap and the guy was fun and stopped. I went to go around him and as soon as I did he back in to me.
Q p seven and I finished P7. I finally got a finish even though I sped off on my own it was that last I did work my way up through attrition
Q p5. Got myself up the second on the first Lap. By Lap five I had fallen to fourth. That I spun all by myself off the last corner, and killed the car. dnf.
A Open
Ellis – pole! – I tied for the most laps lead at 27. pitting other green worked out fine was p3 after that, but then late cautions set up a final restart and I got destroyed come into the checkered P 16
Kyle –
Spiker – P
Rochette P2 had fun made it 3 wide on the white and wiggled just a bit causing a wreck but no lifting and plowed my way through
SPIKER -.ARCA – Charlotte Roval P9
Legends Rookie – Atlanta, Pole – Wrecked
Super Late – Martinsville P7, Q7
Trucks Open – Talladega P9, Q4
Kyle P4 ran a sloppy first half of the race and finally got it together and got back to the front and led 8 laps but just couldn’t hold the lead on the last lap and walked home a p4
League / Hosted Races
Hosted –
Ellis – Chris Maguire 87 cars at Talladega. P7. Great race all the way to the end about 10 or so cars in the mix for the win very clean racing.
OBRL ARCA
Brian – P7 Started in the back (P23) in case I had any technical issues. Turned out to be ok, so I started pushing a bit. Had some really great racing along the way and managed to make my way up to top ten. A caution with about 25 to go brought the field back together. Had to push a little too hard to catch up to p5, but ran out of tires and fell off to p7. All around great race.

Friday Open: Bristol
Ellis – p9 – Got caught up in a few different incidents had 4 minutes damage – at one point was doing repairs the car turned off and would not turn back on – had to get out of car and back in, then didnt beat pace car off and had a penalty to pit under green 20 second hold – now 3 laps down just soldiered on, eventually with attrition got to 9th…
Rochette- PWrecked Out got a little greedy and doored and walled myself while trying to take a lead. Just parked it with 15 minutes required
Groves –
Stephen- Wrecked Out
Hall – p21, wrecked out on purpose by a lap car, just because i and another were fighting for lucky dog. Also suspect the 50 seconds of optional i got avoid an early wreck hurt the long run. I blew out a tire, and that doesn’t usually happen.
Rochette -P4 man had another rocket ship on long runs. Did a green flag stop with 60 to go in 3rd and ended up getting screwed once again as caution came out while i was still 3 laps down. Did end up finishing a lap down
Hall – wrecked, net code
Sunday fixed
Mike -pdnf got involved in the second caution on lab 13 plowed into some guys that were running along the wall. Stop God jostled around pretty good decided not even pit to look for damage and keep the track position p14th. 63. I finally did for tires. Only 14 seconds damage restarting p15. 22 lap run to the next caution got up to P7. Write about a 100 laps down I have fresh tires they don’t started coming up through there and net coded the guy on the outside. We were about a foot apart. I showed the video to the team and Greg said.@Mike Ellis you drifted up enough for net code to happen

CAUTION! LAP 76. Darik Bourdeau gets the wall, Logan Clampitt and Corey Vincent collide and get collected.

NASCAR iRacing Series
Friday Open: Kansas
Ellis – Wrecked out a guy was losing it in the middle I went around is outside to go around him he just barely clipped me I ended up with 29 seconds optional and 3 1/2 minutes required and the car was not drivable.
Rochette- P31 just found myself in the wrong spot wrong time wrecking car clips and sends me into the wall ends day
Spiker -P19
Kyle – Started P15 and gained 5 spots in the first lap. Had a few quick cautions early. Restarted on Lap 21 and had a different pit strategy green flag stop around lap 80. Came out 1 lap down and in 21st. Ran strong getting back past the leader and and driving away. Started picking off positions quickly with the freshest tires on the track. Got up to P7 and a caution comes out at lap 101. Pitted with the rest of the leaders and lap 113 caution flys again Sitting P5 I decide to pit while the rest of the leaders stayed out.Came out the gate conserving my tires. And caution flys again a a lap or so later. I stay out and on the restart got the lead with 12 to go and battled for several laps for the lead. With 5 or so laps to go im sitting p3 and the caution comes out. We go into OT and I tailed the leader on the restart and run him through 1 and 2 only staying a fender behind him. We take the white and now p3 is working on me and I just couldn’t hold him off So i walk away with a Podium P3. Still gaining iRating like crazy.
Sunday Open
Rochette -P14 just couldn’t figure this track out this year. Glad its over
Kyle – That one bad race. Started P14 on a new setup. The car was loose and just dropped back fast. Got hooked on lap 11 and took major damage. Pitted and fixed the damage. Came out 17 laps down and was way off the pace. But was hoping to just take away any positions from wrecked out drivers. Worked in my favor and went from 35th to 24th.
Hall – wrecked. Car right in front of me got loose. Car was crap anyway. Work I did on the set didn’t pay off at all, it drove nothing like it should have.
Sunday fixed
Mike -p23 – There were a bunch of early cautions and one guy was the common denominator I ended up and getting involved in two of his cautions for eight acts with 13 minutes damage. I got it all repaired and went back out there and finish P 23. I was determined to finish the head of the guy who caused all the cost of the shirt off he eventually wrecked him self out.
Wednesday Open: Bristol
Hall -wrecked out, the ultimate choke
Ellis – started 19th got involved in a caution not too much damage, but was trapped a lap down and had to take awave around. There’s several cars in front of the leader as we come to the one to green and it doesn’t wave us around so the lap cars end up starting the race in front of the leaders. Later another caution comes, but I’m not a lucky dog later at lap 50 another caution comes and I stay out to try the wave around again, and it works. Luckily, I got another caution to get back on the same tire strategy. Driving forward from there. God is high SP2 was running about fifth when I spend on my own down to the inside and created 4 1/2 minutes damage losing three laps. Speed still good there and I continue on later. Getting another wreck that I couldn’t miss. Bringing it to six minutes damage. still three laps down, but through attrition gradually work my way up and up and up and by the end of the race I was p4!!!
Tom D – wrecked out
Adam – wrecked out
Stephen – wrecked out
Thurs Open
Rochette -P2 heartbreaker in last great coliseum. Was definitely the fastest car as led 87 laps and stayed top 3 all day. Wrong pit strategy and a yellow coming out just before i was about to unlap myself from a green flag stop (would’ve gained 3 laps in 20 laps run). Got lucky dog in 3rd so started behind the lappers and not enough time to make my way up front. So close yet so far
Official Series
A Open
Hall – p15 in a 6.3k SoF 13 pro’s
I was slow on first 30 laps, but as the leader was getting near lapping me, I started matching his speed. I pass a car and catch a 2 lap down car who doors me to keep me from getting by him. I get back in around behind around 8th and fight to catch back up to the other LD candidate. Couple of pro’s didn’t like it, but I was pacing them and holding my line not blocking. Caution Comes, I take wavearound. Pays off as the 2 lap down idot wrecks a pro. 80 lap run to finish. Again Garret Manes gets to within 3 seconds of lapping me. Then I start pasing cars and drive from 21st to 15th. Had a shot af 11th as we were bunch up at the end, but with the battling right in front of me I couldn’t snag another spot.
Ellis – F 2000 at Summit raceway – started P8 out of 13 got to pee six near the end of the first lap and on the final corner I spot it and tour of the left front off.
SPIKER P8
Kyle Ran a bunch of the Mazda Global MX5’s I forgot how much fun these cars are. A lot of P2 finishes trying to save my A license.
League / Hosted Races
FastTrack League – Michigan
Mike – p15 – was running like crap, dead last and not up to pace really… GF stops started to happen i stayed out, ended up getting a caution before pitting caught the lucky dog. So ended up p9 starting 9th coming to one to green, and the admins decide to arbitrarily throw a delay to the green. Now, I am put back from 9th to 21st I have to let all the wave arounds by… I call out over the radio totally unfair, and am given no explanation, no sorry, no nothing i have to go to tail end… I get other drivers trying to argue that I would have had to let them by anyways… So we go again and same thing a gf cycle starts, and then i stay out, catch the caution, p6… once again 10 on lead lap they delay the gf again…. I call them out again, unfair… I was slow and needed those 15 cars to be spread out coming to green so it was harder to catch me… but because of admin pushing a button that didnt need pushed, they were all up right behind me… IMO delay of green should never be used due to its unintended consequences. This is why leagues suck… Admin didnt mean to screw me, but they did none the less… If this was official, it would have never happened.
Adam – p dnf – too loose –
unofficial – Ellis
Mazda cup at Rudskogan motor Center. Qualified P5 out of 19 got ran over from behind in the first high-speed corner ended up dead last worked my way back up to 12th.
Next race qualified P8 out of 19. I had a few slow down penalties which really put me back but I got up to P7.
Week 13
Hall P1 twice in Ridiculousness.
Chris McGuire hosted racing. Kia Optima at Daytona. Wrecked out but still finish ninth.
Kyle and David won each class in a Porche EV and Trucks race at Dega
radicals and lotus 79 at the new free track. Wrecked out
