Reporting to the Media and Customer Experience Manager, the Media Specialist will be primarily responsible for creation of various forms of content for both iRacing members and prospects including but not limited to promotional videos, tutorial videos, social media content, web advertisements and collateral. Responsibilities to include video production and editing, basic design work including collateral, web ads and print ads.
I don’t know all the details exactly but ultimately there was an issue found deep inside the code that forced us to post-pone the last patch until Today. This caused significant set backs on a lot of the development work that had been done to the next gen car and other cars. Rather than push out another patch with the new build weeks away, it was determined that the best course of action would be to continue the development work and release it with the June build.

Sad to report, Collin Bowden’s power went out in his house on the last lap, 10 feet from the checkered flag. Was running P13, but the server scored him P26. Absolute travesty

Rochette-P7 led some laps but got trapped on the bottom with lapped car on the bottom while 2 wide and lost the main pack. So stuck with a damaged car pack rest of the race. Only 2 cautions so ended up a lap down happy with a top 10 after being wrecked all week but pissed i couldnt get more out of being stuck.
Hall – p4 top split. Led the 2nd pack. The top 3 and some of their lap down team mates short pitted and ran faster while off sequence. When we cycled through, they were 10 seconds ahead.
Groves – p13 – Ran top 5-10 for the majority of the race and led some laps, got taken out with about 10-12 laps to go. Limped the car across the line still on the lead lap and still gained a little IR

David – pwrecked out, caused the big one. The high line is just not consistent in this car in sim and real life. High Line only makes it to the front with the perfectly setup run, then if the cars in front don’t abandon the front comes back and the high line gets stuck about 3 car lengths back. Was pushing Greg hard, missed a bump to the right. Didn’t know I was that far off, but the replay shows I was.

Eventual Lee we got some cars in front of us do the non-decisions on going high. At some point we went high and David was pushing Greg and accidentally turned him. The final restart with three to go is hectic but I was able to bring it home P7 from P9.

Multiple sources have told SGO that NASCAR is actively looking for ways to get out of its current agreement with Motorsport Games. The sources say that NASCAR would like to bring its license to a different publisher and developer within the next couple of years.
“NASCAR isn’t happy,” the source said. “There’s a reason they don’t even promote their own game on any broadcasts. It’s because they don’t want to be associated with a game as broken as what NASCAR 21 is.”
2021 was not a bright year for Motorsport Games, which belongs to the wider Motorsport Network media empire that includes Motor1 and Motorsport.com. The gaming division lost $33.7 million and admitted in its latest financial report two weeks ago that it didn’t “believe the existing cash on hand will be sufficient to fund its operations for at least the next 12 months.”
This should and will concern the likes of IndyCar and the Automobile Club de l’Ouest that operates the 24 Hours of Le Mans, both of which recently minted collaborations with Motorsport Games. The prospective IndyCar game is targeting a 2023 release, as is the Le Mans title. All of these games are the first iterations of annual franchises too, which means it’ll be a tall effort to get them out the door in a short amount of time and in polished form, as NASCAR 21 has illustrated.

One of the premier racing circuits in France will join the iRacing roster of officially licensed tracks, as France’s Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours is set to debut in a coming iRacing build. An active host of major national and international GT and motorcycle competitions, as well as the longtime home of the French Grand Prix, Magny-Cours is planned to be completed and released late this year.
For the second time in the Skip Barber Formula iRacing Series season, Mikkel Gade swept both rounds of an event in Sunday’s action from Road America. He led every lap of the second race to lock in his fifth and sixth wins of the season at road America.
Known as “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing,” the Indy 500 is one of the most prestigious race events in the world, held since 1911 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It is part of the NTT IndyCar Series in the United States.
A long awaited update has been released for the Jimmie Johnson Spotter Pack
v7.30 involves a re-work of a whole bunch of clips. It also introduces 309 new sound clips, hopefully replacing all of the new messages that iRacing has plugged in recently, including the pit box countdown. There are a few event ID’s that I couldn’t get to trigger, so I’m not sure when they do. I left the Default for those as a good way to find out, so let me know if you hear Aussie Greg at all.

He could’ve plowed me but he didn’t. When i entered the lobby I immediately knew I would be fighting him for the win. He is super super quick and oval irating in the 4000’s… The restart before the last when is when i took the lead with some great crossover / slide job moves…
First win of the year, 79th career win.Stats calling this an oval win but i had only one other dirt oval win in 2020, dirt street stock at lanier dirt. So I am going to call this my second oval dirt win…Really proud I could back up my good runs earlier in the week. Not in 1 million years did I think my first win this year would be Bristol dirt

Mike – phad spun down and hit the wall so pitted on first caution for damage – made sure to uncheck my tires – yet it still gave me tires – so then i ended up take a wave by on a caution then never caught another. Once out of fuel, i got some 40 second pit penalty followed by another speeding penalty. I parked it out of frustration.

VRS had a booth set up at the Australian Grand Prix. Race goers were able to drive the VRS rigs as well as real drivers including F2 Champion and F1 reserve driver Oscar Piastri.
eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series driver Matt Bussa took the first checkered flag at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and three-time series winner Mikkel Gade took the win in the feature, as the Skip Barber Formula iRacing Series kicked off the second half of its 2022 season on Sunday afternoon.

Greg West posted in the forums that by popular demand and beginning with Week 5 iRacing will be introducing a second iR-04 series running opposite hours of the current series. The iRacing Formula iR-04 Challenge – Fixed series will follow the same schedule but have fixed setups while also allowing drivers the opportunity to race the car on an hourly basis if they choose to do so. This series, while short due to a mid season release, will still carry 2 drops and will continue as a full 12 week series for Season 3.

Former Nascar champion and current Indy Car driver Jimmie Johnson underwent surgery Monday night for the fractured right hand he suffered in a practice crash last week for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. Listener Rowland Wallbank from North Wales lets us know how to use the Crew Chief App to record voice commands you can play back rally style to help learn the track.
Folks, I enjoy listening to your Podcast (usually whilst doing the dishes!) here in North Wales. I keep hearing members of your team saying how difficult learning the Nurburgring is. I thought the same until I discovered that the Crew Chief app has a rally style Pace notes ability. Basically you map buttons to record, start and stop. You drive around the course and record yourself saying “slow slow slow” or “right turn ahead, tightens” anything you like. Your recording is mapped to a distance around the track. So…when you leave the pit you start the replay and when you hit that marker around the track you hear yourself say “slow slow slow” etc. I learnt it in a couple of days doing it this way. It’s fantastic. You can adjust the distance to trigger the voice recordings if you want them to come later or earlier. Cheers, And please give a shout out to the Lotus 49 and the Huskinveld GT communities. And Team Trained Monkey Racing…More Monkey than Alien. Hello my dudes over at iRacers Lounge. First let me start by saying thank you for putting out my favorite podcast each week and putting so much time into making it a great show. I just upgraded my rig from a GT Omega ART with a Fanatec Club Sport 2.5 and V3 pedals to a proper 8020 rig from racingcockpits.com, Fanatec DD1 and Heusinkveld Sprints. I went with the Pro rig and I must say I’m truly impressed with how solid it is. I started out by calling Racing Cockpits and spoke with the owner Eric. He got me everything I needed at a great price and fast shipping. I had a few specific requests and called him a couple of times and he always answered the phone even in the evening. It’s nice to be able to have that kind of service from right here in the good ol’ USA. The rig was easy to put together and the directions were very well written. While putting the rig together I realized I was missing the riser/leg mounts and notified Eric. He immediately sent them over night to me which I greatly appreciated. The seat is the NRG Prism and is super comfortable. I have the Heusinkvelt Sprints mounted to the pedal plate and there is absolutely no flex. I also got the side mounts for the DD1 and they are rock solid. They also included a bunch of extra bolts and t-nuts was is awesome because I have already added some additional pieces. Overall I’m impressed with the rig and with RacingCockpits.com. I also just got the Butt Kicker Plus a few days ago and I’m loving it. A few quick notes are that the volume knob was not attached tightly to the post and fell off when I took it out of the box and is still a little loose. It sounds like Will Ford from Boosted Media also had this issue. I also used the bolt holes to attach it to my sim rig instead of the clamp, but I had to drill out the holes just a bit to use the standard M8 bolts and t-nuts used on most 8020 sim rigs. After about 3 hours of testing and tuning with the new Haptic Connect software, I determined that the LFE setting in iRacing worked the best, so I ended up not using the Haptic Connect software. Hopefully they will continue to make that better. This is the first Butt Kicker/transducer I’ve ever owned and I must say it is pretty cool and I don’t think I will ever race without one again. I attached pics of my rig and yes that is a NES with the classic game Days of Thunder playing! I still have all my old racing games (hence the pictures taped to the wall) I grew up playing and I must say Indy Heat is my favorite. Again thanks to your team for your outstanding podcast. Our own Mike Ellis recounts his experience building his home made wind simulation unit.
So I got it all mounted and tried it and really couldn’t feel any wind coming out of it even though the fans were turning I couldn’t quite figure out what was going on. Eventually I found some confetti and taped it to the opening of the hose turn the fans on all the way.
And the confetti got sucked into the fan I installed the fans backwards!
So I’ve created the first Vacuum Sim. Or maybe we call it the Sim Vacuum.
So tonight I switch them around and it’s up and working and blowing pretty great.
Some lessons learned, the SIM hub software now has wind Sim support built right in so you don’t need to do the workarounds that were stated in the video.
It kind a looks like the hoses are in an awkward position but they are out of my visual while driving. Not sure if I’m gonna keep them here or move them somewhere else, but done for now.
I did receive my fanatec hub a month early. I’m still awaiting the cube controls wheel to ship…
Ellis – p wreck out five minutes damage Unlock 21 the two cars in front of a spiral walked up the track of everyone Plowed in. Got five minutes damage fixed it was nine labs down rolled around the lab 130 got totally wrecked again eight minutes required finally parked it
Rochette-P4 think i broke the caution record of 27. Stayed clean and in top 10 most of the race. Went from 8th to 4th in final gwc as leaders wrecked on the white. Think many guys went without pitting whole race but even fresh tires it was a pain to try to pass
Hall – P. 19, engine damage from blocked track, plus race control has way to many bugs, at one point on a caution, it nearly inverted field and gave so many eol’s to cars that didn’t even pit that i jumped from 25 to 10th. Later a similar late warning cause some to stop on the out side and i got BF’ed, Did get lap back though, but damage just killed my corner exit
Kyle – P. . P-14. Started mid pack and just ran a strong race. Got up to P3 with 5 to go and just spun on my own and brought a GWC and had to restart P14 and just stayed ther for 2 laps.

Kyle – P P-10 Started P-12 and had a rough race getting caught up in everyones mess and had to serve a Drive thru went 2 laps down and finally got the lucky dog with about 40 to go and just slowly worked my way back into the top 10. Glad Martinsville is done for now.

Tyler – P7 – NIS was Fun! Finally had a fun time in a series race. Started in the back as usual. Got dinged with a 2x early as I made it through a wreck. Kept moving forward to the top ten. Caution fest so restarts we super important. Got Doored with about 50 to go as the chain reaction had me in the middle sitting like a duck but survived. Caution after caution for the GWC and brought it home in 7th with only a 4x. Had a blast after some fine running suggestions from the team. Thanks Tifosi!
Rochette P8 (dont read too fast) remember back when you were a kid playing with your matchbox cars in the dirt? That i just had more fun than than mud caked 6 year old has ever had. Found myself upfront top 3 most of the race watching lap cars nearly kill the leader half dozen times. Final restart in P2, leader disappeared took 1st at the green lost it T2 if white and spun off the guy that took 1st in T4 before the checkered

Rochette P2 decided to run VR after last night on the monitor. Didnt have enough GF runs to adjust properly. I am crap on restarts and it shows after losing spots and getting em back a lap later. This bit me on the gwc was 2nd 4th bumped me, lost a spot to 3rd got it back at the white with leader well ahead. So close im getting that win friday night

What I read from this thread is there is a group of old timers who have their entire process tailored to work with the idiosyncrasies of the web browser and those processes don’t work with the UI therefore it is worse. Then there is a group of newer users who tailored their processes to work with the idiosyncrasies of the UI and therefore don’t see a problem.

@1.) Mike Ellis these just popped up on my Insta feed. They have Pedal Sex appeal They look really well made and have ABS. I wonder if that means it’s just a rumble motor or something even better?! The elastomers are fully enclosed which is definitely a good thing with these LC pedals so you can’t over “squash” them and cause permanent deformation or even bust them. I also like the fact that once you calibrate them it’s saved on the PCB so no need for ingame calibration.

Ellis – p9 – started like 16th got to 11th by lap 1 – at the end of the long inner straight some guy went right across my brow as i made the sharp u-turn 25 seconds damage – only slipped like once and lost a couple of seconds other than that pretty flawless race –
Hall – P. technical issue, Tightened throttle cylinder, and couldn’t get the car to down shift the whole race, wasn’t getting enough response to blip.

Kyle – p6 Started P10 and worked my way up to the top 5 and held the top 5 all the way through pit cycles. Led 4 laps and pitted on lap 22 hoping to make up ground with fresh tires while the field had older tires. Came out P7 and just over drove the car the last 12 laps and finished with a solid P6.
Kyle – P. P-5 was having PC issues restarted my PC during qualifying so started back in 18th. Started the race with shifter issues pitted lap 1 to fix it came out P26 got involved with a spin right in front of me and got some damage. Fell back to last P27 and worked my way up through the field. Pitted at the halfway point and came out P7. Continued to charge on and work up to a P5 I was running down 3rd and 4th but just ran out of laps. So I’ll take a solid P5.

Sunday kicked off the Skip Barber Formula iRacing Series at Lime Rock with the top prize being a fully funded Skip Barber Series ride for the 2022 season. Top 3 finishers in this weekend’s race were Mikkel Gade with the win, Harley Haughton in second and Nicolas Mateo in third. Next race is at VIR this Sunday.

Hey guys so after listening to the current episode I thought I’d put together my top 4 list of things to improve iRacing from 5th to my top change I would make/ask for…
4 : Podium Celebrations – I think after the race is done a podium celebration screen of the top 3 would be nice. It could include the drivers names, SR and iR, maybe even fastest lap of the race they did all while spraying some champagne and chugging down a Shoey. Currently it’s rather bland and very uneventful when you finish a race on the podium or anywhere for that matter, just pull up and hit the exit button. Especially in long endurance events I think this would be cool
3 : Pitlane Animations – I’d love to see the pitstops being animated especially in replays rather than just watching a car suspended in midair with nothing else around it.
2 : 4x for Getting Rear Ended – This really needs to be looked at. It sucks big time that we have to cop a 4x for the pleasure of getting rear ended with no lube just because someone else is incapable of using their eyes and brakes. I think 1x is plenty for someone else’s stupidness. Maybe a 2x at the absolute most but 4x is just ridiculous. (edited)
1 : Safety Car & VSC – My number 1 wish! Surely it’s about time for iRacing to introduce Safety cars and Virtual Safety Cars for Road racing. Especially now that we have a decent Formula 1 car to drive/race and more to the point Safety cars and VSC’s are just an integral part of Road racing just as yellow flags and blue flags are. Now I don’t want to jump into an official race and spend the entire 40mins behind a safety car just because people haven’t practiced and can’t keep it out of the wall. However I’m sure they could do something where if there is 4 or more cars involved it’s an automatic safety car and have other set parameters for when a Virtual Safety Car is triggered. Maybe even a predetermined random number of total X’s depending on length of race can trigger a Safety Car or something Surely there is ways. I mean, it’s not perfect but Codemasters have figured it out so I’m sure iRacing could do it 10 times better

Carquest Auto Parts to Sponsor iRacing World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series
Tyler D. Hudson posted the official announcement that Carquest Auto Parts, the automotive parts retailer in the Advance Auto Parts family of brands, has reached an agreement with iRacing and World of Outlaws to sponsor the iRacing World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. In the series, more than 30 of the top virtual sprint car racers will compete to decide who is the world’s best on the virtual dirt.
The premier motorsports simulator, iRacing combines a true-to-life racing experience with an online community of virtual racers. The online racing competition service organizes, hosts and officiates online racing on a variety of officially licensed virtual tracks across the globe. All tracks on iRacing are scanned for millimeter accuracy and vehicles are designed in cooperation with manufacturers and race teams, offering users a first-class simulated racing experience.
“This partnership with iRacing is a tremendous opportunity for Carquest to become active in competitive online racing, which has become immensely popular in recent years,” said Junior Word, division president, Carquest North America. “We look forward to activating with iRacing’s World of Outlaws series to benefit our independent owners and reach more customers and race fans than ever.”
The Carquest World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will begin in October with a series of six qualifying races. Those who qualify will compete in 10 World of Outlaws Pro Series races beginning in November and concluding in January, with the winner taking home the Carquest Cup and a grand prize of $10,000.
After a successful debut event last summer that raised more than $57,000 for the cause, iRacing and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will team up once again for a three-hour charity team racing event. iRacing presents the Peachtree Three Benefiting the National MS Society will take racers to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta on Thursday, July 14, with donations accepted from now through the duration of the event at www.nationalMSsociety.org/iracing.
The Peachtree Three will feature the Chevrolet Corvette C8R GTE, Global Mazda MX-5 Cup car, and iRacing’s GT4 class all doing battle on the famous 12-turn, 2.54-mile Georgia road course. Competitors will have unlimited fast repairs to work with to ensure that all racers can make it to the finish line as they organize their own donations. The broadcast split, featuring iRacing executive producer Steve Myers, seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion crew chief Chad Knaus, and 2020 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series champion Nick Ottinger, will kick off at 8PM ET (midnight GMT). Additional race splits will launch at 10:00 GMT, 18:00 GMT, and 3:00 GMT (July 15).
Because the Peachtree Three is designed to raise money for charity, a number of purchasable advantages will be made available to teams in exchange for donations to the National MS Society. Teams can issue a drive through penalty to another competitor for $350, while teams can call a caution (limit 2) for $500 and a caution with a wave around (limit 1) for $1,000.

The iRacing Nürburgring Endurance Series will feature a series of 9 endurance races – each 4-6 hours long – on the combined Nürburgring VLN circuit. Drivers may participate solo or with a team.

What is this series?: This series is essentially a grassroots series that is the backbone of the actual races that take place on the Nordschleife when it isn’t in use for public hot lapping. The series is made up of several motorsports clubs (part of either ADAC or DMV) which each host a 1-off event, totaling nine events throughout the year, and there is a ton of crossover with the Nurburgring 24 (Think Bathurst 12 Hour and Supercars Connection). The series has been run since 1977, and has a primarily German-based driver pool (Hence the use of each of our German brands). The series is pretty all encompassing when it comes to cars, with the 2009 year having 30 classes of cars, though much of the notable cars are from a Touring, GT3, or GT4 background. However, production cars are also allowed, thus creating the grassroots connection, with support from everything from Clio’s to BMW M Series cars.

It’s a fully native iOS App for iPhone/iPad giving you access to your license stats, results, schedule, standings, driver search and more. Ellis – p wrecked out – the guy directly in front of me pounds the wall in one and takes us all out – but before that i had hit the wall, then a caution – i came in took 4 tires and fuel and stayed about 30 seconds for damage once damage is done i got to pull away and all of sudden they are putting rights on again! I panic to go uncheck the tires quickly hit the left then right, but i think i inadvertently clicked on the right so they changed the rights again! – So I lost a lap, and took 1 set of lefts and 3 sets of rights all in the same stop.

Hall – p WIN, after a horrible start to season, i take the win on a 3 laps shoot out. With 70 laps to go, made the car too loose. As a result though I was saving fuel and was gonna make it, caution with 10 to go traps the guys that were leading but short pitted behind us. Restart 3rd, take the lead in 1 lap. Caution, 3 lap shoot out driving away.
Groves – p WIN – Started dead last, quickly made my way up to the top ten. 2nd half of the race, I stayed in the top 5. Had the lead at 30 to go when a lap car got racy and I smacked the fence pretty good and lost the lead. Caution came out with 8 or 9 to go and the leader pit giving me the lead. I got a good restart and was able to put some distance between 2nd and take it home

iRacing CREVENTIC Endurance Series Returns for Four-Race 2022 Season
The iRacing CREVENTIC Endurance Series, a four-round team racing championship that sees iRacers team up to take on a series of 12-hour endurance events at some of the world’s premier road racing circuits, will return for the 2022 season with a new lineup of both cars and tracks. Headlined by the additions of Imola, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992), and additional GT4 and Touring Car entries, the new series kicks off with a return to Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on April 2.
2022 marks the second year of iRacing’s partnership with CREVENTIC, the organizers of the real-world 24H Series and iRacing’s NEO Endurance league. Nürburgring 24 Special Event
he 24 Hours of Nürburgring (ADAC 24h Rennen Nürburgring) is a 24-hour endurance event held on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring in Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It also utilizes part of the GP-Strecke course to form a total lap length of 16.1 miles (25.9 km).
Fanatec announced this week that Starting March 17th 2022, several products across our CSL, ClubSport, and Podium lines will increase in price. However, we are keeping the changes to a minimum, and many products will stay the same – for example we are retaining the basic pricing for the core component in our ecosystem: the Wheel Bases.
Following a reassessment of our price structure, we have also been able to lower the price of a small number of products, and these changes have already been applied. We wanted to give you a heads-up before we apply the price increases next week.
Ellis – p9- Came from 13th then it ran top five most of the race ended up getting loose as the race got closer to the end and lost it with 32 to go and lost all my track position. This was even more bittersweet than Wednesday night because the guy who won was actually crashed out Wednesday night and I had nothing for him. I really feel like that was an opportunity to win that I let slip it hurts.
Tom D – P5 – started in the rear. Was able to work my way up to the top 10 most of the race. I was better on a long run. Unfortunately we had a few cautions at the end of the race. Was able to scrap to top 5. I’ll take it. Time for a little vacation. Will be back Wednesday for more fun and games.
Rochette- Phoenix hates me race ended early with a ass losing it out of 2 missing the put barrels and right into me on the wall was early on so went to play some Horizon Forbidden west

Tyler – P12. Phoenix sucked! Really wasn’t a good race, got caught up in a few wrecks with other guys and even caught up in a wreck with my teammate. Had 20 incident point where maybe 4 of them were my fault. Caution fest with 21 cautions. Net coded with a guy where we touched rear tires and sent him spinning as we avoided a wreck. Gives me a nice 4x door hit under caution. Wasn’t a good night.

Ellis – p13-Ran pretty good got up to P2 had bad luck with the way the cautions fell cautions come out right after I stopped under green flag not once but twice lost all my spots eventually I spun out and hit the wall pretty hard for 3 1/2 minutes damage and just brought it home
Tyler – P15 finished 2 laps down. Ran a solid race but missed pit entry on my final fuel lap. Ended up running out of gas coasting to pit road. Got loose in turn 2 and was taken out by a car who had their brake bias down in the 30s and couldn’t stop. Was able to get repaired and keep up with the top 8. Felt good to finally be fast. My luck will turn around.
Rochette P1 Hey yo…. what ya get when you get a pole, led the most and fastest laps? Ya get a Chubby Birb in victory lane for a 3rd time in 9 nis starts. What a way to have a send off for old Atlanta and redemption for my 2nd places last year. Dominate car all race except on old tire restarts. But the birb frankly didn’t give a damn by setting Atlanta and was Gone with the Wind

Tom D – P2 – Started 17th. Was running between 5th and 10th most of the race. Got caught once after green flag stops a lap down. I was able to make my way to a top till there was a restart with 12 to go. I decided to pit. Restarted 4th. Was just a little too loose on the restart. Made the pass for 2nd going to the line. I’ll take a top 5 and look forward to Sunday

Ellis – p12 – got the steering ratio right but still sucked and would get loose in the middle of 1 and 2 and then pound the outside wall – maybe 6 or seven times. Not a bad finish for sucking so bad.

One incident I missed my breaking mark by a few feet and locked them up and slid into the admin of the league luckily we didn’t wreck. Got dive bombed by a guy and almost wrecked again I heard his name almost every time a caution came out… The final restart they all wrecked and I kind of drove through it but I got too many incidents in a black flag otherwise I might’ve had a top 10.

Kyle Zimmer, as with many of us, posted in the forums his surprise that the new Atlanta update was not included in the season 2 build saying,”I know iRacing worked with NASCAR with Atlanta track. I am generally surprised that Atlanta update isn’t included to the build since NASCAR will be racing there in 2 weeks. I am just curious if “New” Atlanta will be release during season 2 in patch or will be in later dates?”
In a series of YouTube Videos, some of Sim Racing’s top streamers like Dave Cam, Mat Malone and Race Beyond Matter posted vidoes of the horrors of iRacing addiction. Unfortunately, in this sometimes humorless world, some took the satires the wrong way and content creators like Ermin HamSandwich had to remove their posts because of some misdirected backlash.
Bryan Blackford posted a Tweet and directly copied Steve Myers that he thinks that the truck is not challenging enough to be a Pro Qualifying vehicle and doesn’t show off the talent in the division. He’s willing to die on that hill.
We need to be challenged @iRacing. Your product is great, the truck is fun, but it's not a Pro qualifying car. RTP has the talent. We need to put it all on display like we used to. IDK who makes these decisions, but willing to die on this hill
In a Related Tweet, Boyd Hoggan said that RTP should at least be one of the current cars and thinks the top 3 series cars need more off-throttle time to make better racing.
Aight before this @iRacing RTP idea gets all messed up, can we agree atleast it should be one of the current nascar cars?@DaleJr the only thing we really need is off throttle time, we have so much on throttle in all 3 of the top stock cars and it hurts our racing as a result.
Returning for the 2022 season, The Skip Barber Racing School will be hosting the Skip Barber Formula iRacing Series, where drivers will compete over six weeks of action for the ultimate prize in motorsports: a fully funded seat in the real-world Skip Barber Formula Race Series.
Jed Danyliw asked in the iRacing forums, “Why doesn’t the new cup car have the rear view mirror and the rear camera on the dash?” Staffer Brian Simpson replied that the drivers are allowed to run both the rear view camera, and the actual mirror. In real life, some drivers don’t use the camera because they just don’t trust it since they don’t know if what they are seeing is what is actually there.
In iRacing, we don’t have that issue, the rear view camera is just another mirror portal. Those mirror portals are very expensive performance wise, and having 2 mirrors, both of which have essentially the same view seemed to be a massive performance hit without much actual benefit. So I opted to just have the rear view camera. Since we don’t have the rear view mirror, placing the camera there made sense.
American racer Zac Campbell became the third different feature winner in three events to kick off the 2022 Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup season on Saturday, holding off former teammate and last week’s winner Kevin Ellis Jr. in a charge to the finish at Interlagos.
Martin Lanza posted that he’s built a program to assist editing Ai Rosters. At present the first version of the program is very limited, it can’t create new rosters or add/delete drivers (will add these features later). Currently, the main reason to use this program is to easily apply paint/livery and also have defined driver attribute presets that can be easily applied to drivers. Both are applied to roster drivers via drag & drop which visual, quick and simple.
Hacker group Lapsus$ has leaked the credentials of more than 71,000 Nvidia employees after the company did not acquiesce to its demands. The group stole the corporate data during a recent ransomware attack and threatened to release it if Nvidia didn’t remove its cryptocurrency mining limiter (LHR) from its RTX 30-series video cards. Nvidia refused to do so, and the group has since issued another demand and claims it will release even more data if Nvidia doesn’t comply.

Hall –p 15 dumped, but got some of it back. Guy apologized, but haven’t really had a clean race since Daytona.
Ellis – p11 – Started P 19 quickly worked my way to the top five ended up leading some laps. Pit it with like 35 to go and stayed out while others pitted was leading on the final restart but the new tires got me at the end I went to block down the back stretch on the white he was already there I got hooked.

Tom D – P1. Viva Las Vegas! Car was fast. I was not planning on running, but was able to get out of work early. Used the first ½ of the race to learn the car at Vegas. Was able to take the lead right before green flag stops. Came out of the pits 2nd and was able to run down the leader with about 25 to go. Was able to run my laps and take down my first NexGen and Vegas win at my “Home Track”. Closest to Colorado. Happy to take my first NiS win down so early in the season to keep my streak alive for another year. Happy for the team. We are now 3 weeks into the NiS season and we have picked up a win as a team each week. Great job boys
